This is the hobby store in Fulton NY specializing in Radio Controlled vehicles(RC). It’s an old-school store in the basement of a mall with all the small parts in easy view, stock on various styles of shelving, and knowledgeable and friendly staff. All of their walls are covered with parts, and they cover the entire gamut of RC: nitro, electric, cars, planes, boats, and helicopters. There a mixture of of stuff from the beginner all the way to what the top racers in the field need. The staff is very knowledeable and they keep active in the local clubs as well as what’s happening nationally. What’s different about this hobby store is the sloped clay track in an adjoining room, with a third room dedicated to racers for race setup. The track is a lot larger than Walt’s carpet track, and all sorts of races(From oval, to figure 8 to off-road with jumps and whoops) run regularly. If you’re looking to race, or watch some of the best RC racers compete this is the place to go. While I will frequent Walt’s Hobby in Syracuse more often simply because it’s an hour closer to me, when the weather warms and I can bring my bike out I’ll go here more often to watch the races and recommend them if you’re into racing or are relatively close by. One thing: the mailing address is 120 Cayuga St, but the actual entrance is in the parking lot of the«mall» south of Cayuga street just past Canal St.
