Gave this place another try while in town. Although the service was much friendly the snacks were stale/cold or oily as usual.

Taquitos were good but small. Get there early they are busy and run out of Taquitos early. I recommend.

First time here and it won’t be our last! Our family of picky eaters were all impressed with the warm, fresh out of the oven kolaches(pigs in a blanket with cheese) and their delicious glazed and chocolate donuts. The donuts have a crisp bite to them, soooo GOOD!

Amazing breakfast pastries! We will definitely be going back for a breakfast treat! I read quite a few reviews that talked about horrible service. The lady serving us didn’t start out super friendly, but as we visited with her she warmed up and was very nice. In all honesty, service, in general, in Rockport doesn’t knock your socks off. We are here quite a bit in the summer and there are few places that have great service. The service at the bakery is no different. The nicer you are to them, the nicer they are to you. They have rude tourists all the time and are expecting you to be rude, when you aren’t, you get a much better response.

Yum yum yum, that is all I have to say. I got the apple fritter and it was delicious. My daughter got a kolache and she chowed down. Prices were very good too. Can’t wait to try this spot again.

Horrible service! We arrived only to find out tacos were made several hours prior & sitting in a heated buffet warmer. Then they were out of carne guisada tacos, potato egg & cheese tacos, and bean & cheese tacos. The manager said they wouldn’t make fresh ones to accommodate my family, because they were done making them for the day. Gross. Literally hours old and wrapped in wax paper. We left without eating. Facility did not appear clean either. Rockport bakery needs to get the customer service thing together. They presented with the attitude«what you see is what you get» as opposed to accommodating the customer. I guess the most bothersome part to me was, we drove a long way from Holiday Beach and planned the breakfast tacos the night before. They have a very large advertisement on the side of the building that advertises breakfast tacos, so we were under the impression that they did a good job at it! MAJORFAIL.

We stopped in for some baked goods for breakfast. The cinnamon rolls looked great and were very large. Unfortunately, they tasted and had the texture of being a day or two old. The long john was pretty good. Service was less than friendly an only mediocre. The two ladies working the counter seemed more interested in taking care of drive through customers than those of us who came inside.

The service was TERRIBLE and the tacos mediocre. Don’t even think of ordering a taco outside of their pre-made selection. The young pretty lady serving my 73 year father was more than disrespectful. Very disappointed!

The Rockport Bakery did our wedding cake in September 2012 and it was AMAZING. Lucas delivered on everything I asked for — the cake was gorgeous and super delicious. And I love that he didn’t try to get me to eat fondant — probably because his buttercream is heavenly :)

We rented a house on Key Allegro for Thanksgiving week and had all the family from Corpus, Houston and Dallas down for the big Thanksgiving dinner. Baking in an unfamiliar kitchen really wasn’t an option, and Rockport Bakery really came through. We ordered 3 dozen Parker House rolls on Monday and were able to pick them up late Wednesday afternoon. They were perfect for the occasion and absolutely delicious. Sooooo much better than anything available in the local grocery stores and certainly better than anything we could have made on the run. The staff is VERY friendly and very helpful. It’s not fancy, but they have a very broad selection of pastries, cakes, pies and cookies.

Two things I learned in Texas… Kripy Kream doesn’t stand a chance and real kolaches come with jalepeno and cheese. With that being said I stumbled into Rockport backery in search of Texas tradition. The donuts were fresh and moist and the kolaches had a nice spicy kick wrapped in sweet dough. It was nothing short of delicious. They don’t offer a large selection, so if your looking for 50 flavors of donuts your in the wrong place. I wanted to order the giagantic apple fritter but I didn’t think I would come out victorious. It was too big and the sugar would have killed me… Since I don’t have the will power to stop midway. This no frills bakery is a must stop for my next trip to rockport.

Admittedly, I am a little biased! We have had property in Fulton for 150 years and so I’ve been coming to Rockport since I was a kid. And each time I’d go, we’d have to have the Rockport Bakery, not just ’cause it was the BESTDONUTSINTEXAS… but because my(distant) family also owned it for a time! :-) That family connection is long gone, but god help me, I go to Rockport annually and within 24 hours of arrival — I NEEDMYROCKPORTBAKERY fix! Why mess with a good thing? If you’re here — you need the Glazed Donuts and you need the Glazed Chocolate Donuts. They’re a meal in themselves; all kinds of sugary awesomeness. But eat them quickly, the next day they’ll be rock hard. Don’t wait, enjoy your goodness now. Not up for sugary goodness? They also have in the early AM breakfast burritoes made there on spot, Eggs & Bacon, Eggs & Sausage… Eggs & ham… even beans & cheese I believe! I look forward to my continued annual enjoyment of the Rockport bakery, their tasty donuts, tasty breakfast burritos and the warm and inviting staff that greets you with a smile! The next trip can’t come soon enough :-)

Very friendly service. Flavorful donuts! Stopped her for breakfast late Saturday morning. After heading to Rockport Beach for a few hours, I had the munchies! They still had a ham and cheese croissant among their breakfast items so I took that and a lemon donut. Both of which were VERY good! The guy who tended to me was very sweet and told me what their best sellers were. Even showed me that they had breakfast tacos and sandwiches for lunch. Prices were very decent — if memory serves, I paid for those two things and a drink for about 3 bucks. Not bad.

Nothing tops a small town bakery specializing in that old school homemade taste. Rockport Bakery serves up homemade cakes, cookies, pastries, and oversized old fashioned cinnamon rolls. They also do breakfast tacos and pigs in blankets. It was a tough choice looking at the bakery case full of delicious goods. The old fashioned cinnamon rolls looked amazing but I didn’t have room for one. I had a cream cheese danish shaped like a turnover and lightly glazed for another layer of flavor. The small town Americana bakery is becoming a lost art, but it is alive and doing well here at the Rockport Bakery. 5 stars on the bakery scale.
