Applebee’s

The worst. Good thing they don’t have much competition in Fuquay or they would shut down. The service is so bad. Ridiculous.

Food was good, service was fine. I was disappointed to find out that we were charged for my kids using the tablet at the table. Thankful that the waitress comp’d us

I somewhat loath going to Applebee’s due to the long time to get your food, typically an hour. Tonight was no different. In fact I usually give 3 stars for poor service, but the entrees we usually get are fairly tasty so I bump them one star. This visit though not only did we get it late but one of their signature entrees was overlooked and tough.
Then to make matters worse the at table pay system had the wrong items for paying so had to resort to paper method which took even longer.
If these guys could get their act together and serve faster, they could increase settings and profit, I just don’t know why they are consistently one of the slowest Resturant chains in the market.

The kitchen here has serious issues. Chicken penne arrived room temperature. Sent it back to be warmed up, new chicken fresh from the fridge. Avoid this place.

Even though this place only had 8 people in there, they must think they are doing great. My wife and I came in and there was no hostess at the desk, but there were 5 employees sitting at a table on the other side of the bar. We took a booth in the bar area where the bar tender had exactly 2 customers, and she noticed us several times without saying a word. While we waited two servers came to the bar to pick up drinks for the two other tables. They both looked at us and didn’t say a word. By this time I was getting frustrated. Moments later a manager walked right by our table, looked at my wife and continued walking. That was enough for me. This isn’t the first time that we’ve had horrible service at this place. Fool me once, shame on me; after that they’ll get no more of my money.

My girlfriend and I ordered take out. Every time we go into the restaurant we have a great experience but this was not up to par. My girlfriend’s fiesta chicken salad was very skimpy. There might have been more of the tortilla strips than lettuce. It was more fit to be an appetizer than an entrée. My meal was good still seamed like if we went in we would have gotten more. Probably the last time we will do take out here.

We ordered Sirloin steak and it was delicious. I give them 10 stars. Mashed potatoes were also delicious. Our server was very nice

For one, we chose to come in on Halloween night which wasn’t the best of ideas. We beat the server to the appetizer by ordering it on the machines on the table. We ordered Sriracha shrimp and then the 2 for 25, which comes with an additional appetizer. Before we could even eat BOTH of our silverware were dirty as hell. The waiter barely checked in on us so much I had to go to the host myself and get them. I ordered the 4 cheese Mac & cheese, my girlfriend order the sirloin mid rare. When the food came the Mac & cheese was absolutely drenched in the chicken tender sauce. It was more like tender sauce with Mac & cheese. The sirloin tasted fine but was over cooked. Overall this experience was pretty trash to say the least. Usually you see managers walking around checking on people but I saw NONE of that at all. When we asked for a box from another server, we told her 1 big box would be fine and she brought the smallest box possible. She was dressed like a cop. We didn’t appreciate that either. We will NOT be returning customers.

Take out order of a quesadilla burger was well prepared. However the fries they give you now in a bag is a joke compared to if you were dining in. Pretty stingy with the ketchup also.

Horrible experience. We ordered a burger and verde nachos. When the burger arrived, it had no condiments on it. The waitress then asked if we wanted anything added to it… after it arrived instead of when we placed the order. The nachos had a small scoop of beef off to one side, little cheese and a ton of shredded lettuce. It arrived at the table without any condiments as well. The waitress, Michelle, was low energy. Boring food. Boring staff. Waste of money.

This is the best Applebee’s I’ve been to, because the service is great! The staff is friendly, fun, and professional. I visit as often as I can. Please be sure to tip carside! They work hard!

The crowd at the bar was great. Fun and interesting people. Both bartenders (Cory and Sarah) were excellent. I ordered the new Broccoli. Shrimp and Pasta dish. The taste and texture was excellent but it wasn’t server hot — only warm. I wasn’t able to finish it. They sent it back and rewarmed it — adding a little extra sauce. Hot is MUCH better than just warm. Cory was the highlight of the evening. Excellent service!

My wife and I just shared two meals, steak and chicken. Both were just okay. Previous review is right that it tastes like leftover microwave food. Staff was great or the review would be worse.

I am not normally a lover of chain restaurants, and had not been to any Applebee’s in years. We went because it was local, and were surprised by the excellent service from our young waiter and the gracious visit from the manager.
We enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip and onion ring appetizers. Several of us did the sirloin steak, and each steak came prepared exactly as we had ordered it, pink and tasty for the medium and well but not charred and dry for the well done.
Basic wine list, with a good Cabernet.
Pleasantly surprised here. We’ll come again.

We were looking for something late night for a few drinks and snacks, and Applebee’s was open.
Our bartender was great and personable. We were pretty low-​maintenance with appetizers and alcohol, but she stayed actively engaged. I kind of felt bad for her because there were a lot of weirdos in the bar that night who were just total a-​holes.
Pretty standard, but all around a good time with no complaints.

We sat at the bar and were served by the bartender Sam. She was amazing, funny service was fast and courteous! The general manager stopped by to check if we were content with our service. I will def eat there again

Let me start out that I am not a fan of Applebee’s but this restaurant in Fuquay-​Varina seems more like a Mom and Pop operation. My buddy knew the wait staff who were quite knowledgeable so ask them what to get and what to avoid. It was cold and rainy and I was in need of some comfort food. Beef Stroganoff did the trick! This was not just a one time occurrence. Went back multiple times and always a joy! The wait staff always makes a difference.

«Eat at Shenaniganz, enjoy your food, eat at Shenaniganz, Calvin works here!» This quote from «Waiting» came to mind during our Applebee’s experience this past Friday night & I don’t necessarily mean that in a bad way, as our dinner definitely had it’s positive points. It’s just your typical chain restaurant in every way.
Let me preface this by saying that we had an errand to run in Garner & planned on checking out Kickback Jack’s nearby. But considering how many people were waiting outside & the fact that we had 2 rather impatient little ones w/​us, we decided to just drive towards home (Fuquay). The next «sit-​down» restaurant on the way was Applebee’s and since neither myself nor they hubby had tried it in several years (and never this location), we decided to give it a shot. Although there were several groups of people waiting & we were told it would be about 10 – 15 minutes, we ended up being seated less than 5 minutes later. Hubs and I both ordered burgers & they were pretty tasty. Granted they weren’t nearly as good as our favorite burger spot, Salem St Pub, but not a bad substitute. The fries, however, were a waste of carbs & definitely not as good as we remembered them being. Back to the positives: hostesses were friendly, our server was attentive & got us out in & out quickly (which we appreciate w/​2 kids), & our food came out fast, hot, & correct (even though the way I ordered my burger seemed to confuse our server). Overall, I can see us going back, since it’s so close to home, and the burgers & service were above average for a chain restaurant.

To be clear, this Applebees earns 4 stars from me when compared to other Applebees I’ve been to, as well as, other similar chain restaurants. We don’t often choose chains over one of a kind or specialty eateries, but when in a pinch or when starving, we slide into a booth and order ourselves some greasy Nachos and overly advertised beer.
With that said, we have often regretted stopping at one of these popular restaurants and wished we would have opted for some nuts and bottled water from the next rest stop. This particular Applebees however, has always risen to the occasion. I appreciate that they have begun to add healthier options to the menu and tasty specialty drinks as well. Hello, Sangria!
The service at this location is usually polite and quick. We stopped with our 8 month old for lunch today and our waiter didn’t seemed to be fazed by our baby’s screeching or smearing of mushy Apple Puffs. He was attentive and brought the bill promptly when we were finished, which is always appreciated when dining with a baby.

I like this location. They are always friendly, and the food always comes out timely and tastes as you’d expect from Applebee’s. I like their pick-​a-​pair combo for $ 20 and they have these desserts in a shot glass that are just the right size.
This Applebee’s also has nice sized dinner salads. For a while, they were serving little ones, but then they’re back to serving salads that are a good size for the extra money.
I’ve never had a bad experience here and have always enjoyed the food and the great service with a smile.
