The owner is a great guy. I called him to let him know my kids(elementary age) had never been to a comic store and asked if his would be appropriate for them. He said he would be honored to be their first comic store and invited us to come down. He treated the kids so well and is a really friendly guy. The store is kinda small, but theres room to grow, gotta start somewhere ya know. Maybe a few years down the real it will be kind of a capital comics deal, that would be cool. Hes got a decent place on his hands for now, keep growing man! Southern wake county needs a big comic shop.

I wanted to take my son to his first comic book store, and this one was the closest to our house. To call this place a comic book store is a joke, it’s more of a card game(s) shop and playing area. The owner was very helpful the first time we went in, answering all of our Magic the Gathering questions, so we went back a second time. The owner wasn’t there, and it was hard to even tell if anyone worked there. There were about 5 – 6 guys in there and I don’t know how many of then worked there, and how many were just hanging out, but no one wanted to help us. As for the store itself, it is really bare. There are hardly any displays. There are about two bookshelves of comics, and shine randomly spread out on a folding table, right in front of the door, but that it is. They also have random stuff(i.e. snacks, dice, flyers, etc.) scattered all over the counter, and shelves behind a counter where they store all their gaming cards. What I found to me the strangest part of the store’s layout is that ¾ of the store is set up with folding tables. Both times I went in there, there were people playing Magic of other card games. Overall, it felt more like someone’s basement than a business. And, the people there make you feel like you’re crashing their clubhouse. I think it’s more of a place for the owner and his friends to hang out, and less like s business that wants to sell its products.
