I’d seen«Thomas’ Olde Store» on some of the News & Observer’s FourSquare lists, so, I naturally had to check this place out when I was in Fuquay-Varina. Honestly, I had no idea to expect, but I found a clear address online and headed over. The store itself is a rickety old building – like many that you see in the country surrounding the Triangle. To the side, there was a mini fresh farm sale with all sorts of delicious foods – peaches, blueberries, eggplant, okra, tomatoes, peppers. It was a nice selection and obviously very fresh. I picked up a red pepper, a purple eggplant, and 3 peaches. When the girl rang me up and it came to only $ 3 I was a bit shocked. I wish I lived closer so I could come here all the time. The girl working there was super helpful and the quality looked good. It’s open from 9 – 6 every day of the week. She said that in the building(that part is more clearly labeled) a woman does antique shows about once a month.
