I was surprised to see green peppers in the chicken w/veggies! This is above average Chinese fast food!

The best Chinese food in Gahanna! Try the spicy minced chicken in lettuce cups.

We ordered: Chicken Lo Mien, the noodles were thick, it had a couple big chunks of chicken, but nothing else. Pork fried rice was very good, big pieces of pork as well. General Tso’s chicken with white rice was the best thing we ordered, I would order that again. The price was very reasonable.

A biz partner that ran an office in the area recommended this place. He raved about how good it was. I went two times and it was a littlr above average. Once during lunch and the next time around dinner time. Apparently people think it’s really good. Lunch was packed and it reminded me a little of the east coast restaurants where the owners don’t put the heat up in the dining room to save money since it was a bit cold. The lady delivering our food came by twice with other people’s food. We had the beef and broccoli as well as some pot stickers. The pot stickers took an additional 8 minutes and came out after our meal. The food was just above average and I really didn’t understand why people were so excited about. I’ve traveled all over the country and have had really good Chinese in Chicago and NYC so I’ve had my fair share of Chinese. My second time was just for soup, the staff was nice and it was take out. However the lady didn’t fill my soup to the top which every Chinese restaurant I’ve been to has. On top of that the crunchy noodles that usually come with the soup she wanted to charge me extra for. Which I was fine if I was buying a small soup but I ordered a large. Again a little better than OK. I love supporting local business but I’ll be going to another option for Chinese in the future.

An update to my previous review. I have recently noticed that this restaurant has been turned over to new management. I still love coming here however for the first time I have a complaint. The crab rangoon is a different brand I think and tastes feezer burnt. Also I have noticed that the portion sizes are shrinking, the new management is friendly and nice, but they will never be the two old ladies that ran the place. They were the best!

I was hungry and it was late, so my wife suggested Chinese. After reading the reviews I decided to give them a try. Our food came out 5 minutes after we placed our order. I assume since our food was prepared so quickly, there’s no way it was made fresh. The food was just ok, not great and I would not return. If you want the«fast food experience» and you are hungry, then this is your spot. If you like the dining experience with more flavor, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Standard takeout Chinese. The owners are extremely friendly and will customize your dish as you request. The Lo Mein is great check it out

Imagine taking Chinese food and applying to it the same quality expectations that you would a fast food restaurant. The dishes here are far below my expectations of a quality meal, but they are ready in less than 10mins and they are cheap. It’s like McDonald’s, I find their food far below quality, but it’s edible and it’s fast. The bad exception here is the hot and sour soup. I think ‘bland and bitter’ soup is a more befitting name for what they serve. It’s a caramel colored concoction with no visually identifiable ingredients and has the consistency of gravy that sat in the dirty sink overnight. Overall, I suggest walking into here with a hankering for some Chinese with the expectations of some fast food and you will find yourself satisfied by getting just what you expected. Just remember, avoid the bland and bitter soup.

My favorite Chinese place. I get the Wor Sue Gai with gravy on the side. This is def on my «Crack» list. The place is clean. The staff know you & give you a big happy greeting.

Absolutely horrible. Beef tastes odd and undercooked, fried rice has almost no flavor… Chicken, same story. Just drive another two minutes and save yourself the trouble.

The food is tasty and fresh(not greasy) and the owners are just the loveliest people. We’ve been eating here since they opened over 15 years ago and it’s always delicious. My family even moved to the other side of Gahanna for a few years(where there are plenty of other Chinese places) but we would always drive across town to eat here. I don’t even live in Ohio anymore and I crave their steamed dumplings!

The staff was extremely polite. The food was great even though I orderd 15 minutes before they closed(curry beef)! I finished dinner feeling satisfied, not like I ate a plate full of grease. Highly recommended!

I feel like Norm from Cheers when I walk into this place. The servers always ask me where my wife is if I am there alone and know what I want. Very clean inside and the food is very good for fast food. Typical American style Chinese, Indian and Thai. Will cook to order for extra spicy food.

This place is a huge cut above your typical chinese fast-food. The owners/operators are extremely nice and the restaurant is very clean. The food is also clearly a step up across the board to anything you will get at a comparably priced chinese restaurant. Try the mala string beans dish. They are glad to make any dish spicy or extra-spicy or extra-extra-spicy!

I love this place! The folks that work here are so nice. The restaurant is always clean. I don’t have to worry about the quality of the food, either. Always fresh and delicious. My favorite«fast food» Chinese restaurant. Try the ma la string beans. Or the hunan chicken. Yum!

This place is definitely interesting. I ordered for pickup and as soon as I arrived they were really anticipating my arrival because the manager facetiously commented, «You’re late by one minute!» Now that was funny(at least to me). You typically don’t expect humor from a rush order Chinese restaurant in the middle of the lunch hour. I really liked that.(It’s the little things that matter to me) :-) This restaurant is your typical strip mall 1500 square foot store front, so it’s not very big. I found it interesting that each order that was placed was repeated through a loud PA system into the kitchen which was 4 feet away from the order taker. It was quite a scene. You could practically hear every order outside in the parking lot — it was that loud! In addition, I really appreciated their uniforms. Each employee had an Ohio State Buckeye baseball cap on with matching shirts. I wasn’t sure what the occasion was except that it was the last day of 2008. I guess they were getting ready for the big Fiesta Bowl game against Texas? GOBUCKS! Finally, the food. Not bad. Not great either, but altogether not bad at all. I especially appreciated the Hot & Sour Soup. It was the most unique recipe that I’d ever tasted. The consistency reminded me of Snapper Soup — nice and thick. It wasn’t terribly spicy, but it was good. The lunch portion of my chicken and broccoli was a bit smaller than I expected, but my waste line could use the break anyway — very tasty, but not any better than the other local Chinese restaurants. It’s worth the visit if you’re into the Buckeyes, loud PA systems and humorous servers. You won’t wait long for this Asian fare, so if you’re in a hurry, this is the place to go.
