Gatsby’s is great! I worked in this area for 9 years and never stopped at this local dive until the last 6 months. I was missing out! The service is incredible! The food is great! They always have a nice variety of craft & domestic on tap at reasonable prices. Safe & friendly crowd, varies from the old regulars to hipsters to plain chicks like me. Live bands on Friday. Great patio space and lots of room inside. Love it!

This was my first time here. My friends and I decided to check this place out after a nice dinner on Saturday night. We are in our 20’s, and the average age at Gatsby’s had to be right around 50. They made us feel welcome though. The live music was loud and rowdy. The dance floor was electric. The bartender was very friendly, he even gave us suggestions on drinks to save us money. Gotta love that! The bathroom was much nicer and cleaner than anticipated. It’s a perfect little dive bar that seems like it would be a lot more fun in the summer months.

I drive by this place ALL the time when I’m going in and out of Gahanna. Suring the Spring and Summer, it’s definitely the place to be as it’s always packed with a crown inside and out. I’ve visited on a few occasions outside of the normal«peak» times and found it to be quite pleasant. They offer the usual pub/bar food but it’s all done fresh and well seasoned. The burgers are adequately sized and the onion rings are to die for. I have children so I doubt if I’d ever visit with them during a weekend but for a simple dining experience, it’s definitely on my «to-do» list.

My wife and I recently went to my class reunion at Gatsby’s. It was completely packed in the upper bar area which completely overwhelmed the bar staff but they did a great job of trying to keep up so A+ to the staff! The pizza on the other hand was by far the most bland I’ve ever had. No taste to the crust, same with the sauce and the cheese didn’t help much either. On top of that it was kind of pricey once we added a few toppings. It was so bad we both agreed frozen would have been better. The bar is okay if you like the neighborhood dive type although I must say this place is much better in the summer.

This place was like my personal hell. We went here drank some sodas at the beginning and was listening to country music. After awhile I started to get hungry so I decided to order a rueben. Took some time to come out but I finally got it. The sandwich did not have much meat on it, and came with some soggy fries. I ordered a blue moon that was about $ 6.50(heck arena district is cheaper than that). Overall the experience was abysmal and will not return.

I drive by this place multiple times a week, and it looks like a bar I’d really love, but I hadn’t been there before. My co-workers had told me it’s a pretty cool spot in the Summer, since it has a huge back patio and two volleyball courts, which I think they have some leagues play on during the week. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to drink there yet, but I heard that they had some decent food, so I decided to put in an Italian sub order for takeout. The lady on the phone, which turned out to be the bartender, was very nice, and took only 10 minutes for the food to be ready. The place itself is interesting to say the least. It reminds me of a bar that should be on a beach from the outside, but when you get inside there’s all different levels of seating until you make it to the top level which is the bar. The whole place is a bit of a dive but a fun one. It was lunch time so only a few people were in, but I noticed they did have different activities during the week like trivia and open mic, so I’m definitely stopping by sometime this Summer, especially to chill on the patio. I was really surprised by how much I liked the sub. It actually looked like they put their own house made Italian on it as well, and they gave me some on the side as well. It was real tasty, and by the time I ate it, it wasn’t even hot out the oven either. The bread was great, and it came with a ton of ruffles chips. I highly recommend. I’ve heard the wings are pretty great as well, so I’ll be trying those at some point in the coming months and keep everyone updated. Overall, this looks like it could be a fun neighborhood dive bar in an area that’s been built up quite a bit. The bartender was super nice, the food was tasty, and it looked like the drinks were pretty cheap. You can’t ask for much more than that.

It’s super bowl 2015 made a order for take out and we got burgers and fries and nachos and fried pickles and side salad. The burgers were ordered medium they were good and so were the fries. Nachos not so bad the chili tasted like it was old and way more chips than toppings. Fried pickles were breaded not battered, they were pretty good. I liked my side salad it had nice toppings but for size it was not worth 4.25. Over all it was pretty I would go back and have a drink.

Review only based on cold beer, awesome bartender and AMAZING women’s restroom! The bar is older… your local, comfort place to grab a drink — but ladies, the bathroom is great. Recently remodeled and clean! Bartender was a Steelers fan which was all the better. Great personality and very outgoing. We didn’t order any food but the meals that came from the kitchen looked appetizing. Would recommend stopping by for a quick drink or two!

Love Gatsby’s! Definitely a hole in the wall bar. The pizza is excellent, the beer is cold and the bartenders are very nice and attentive.

Gatsby’s the is the place to hang out in the neighborhood. The food is OK, but not awesome. You come here for the entertainment and the atmosphere. The patio is fantastic and HUGE, but the stage is pretty small. Also, they run trivia in the cool months, which is fun. Judging by the sheer number of reviews that say the pizza is awesome, I guess I’ll have to get pizza the next time I go!

Perhaps the weekend before St. Paddy’s Day is not the best time to judge a bar. Or, maybe it’s the perfect time. This place looks like it’s had many additions so it is pretty much the bar version of the Winchester Mystery House. That said, it was nice to be able to sit upstairs and not have to hear the band that was playing downstairs. We ordered some food and drinks at the bar from the very busy, but friendly, bartender. Now, I am not sure what it’s like on a normal weekend but their pints were much larger than your standard pint(I’m not complaining!). There isn’t a huge beer selection but there were a couple of beers that I haven’t seen anywhere else in town so it’s not all the usual suspects. The food wasn’t really anything special. I had the nachos which were good and a large portion for being called an appetizer. The boy had some chicken tenders and was underwhelmed… but, he didn’t get any sauce and chicken tenders are pretty much a sauce delivery device. Overall, this place was a relaxed, locals joint with friendly servers and some damn fine people watching. The crowd was skewing a bit older on this night but they were having fun and fun to watch.

Hi All! I’m writing to let you know that Gatsby’s renovated their bathrooms! The look wonderful and you can sit down to go w/o having your knees out in the walkway. This is great news! Last time I was in there I was 8 mos pregnant and I could hardly shut the door INFRONT of me. The rest of the place could use a little renovating but then again, the old wood kinda makes the atmosphere.

The bartender, Scott, is absolutely to die for! He was so helpful in helping me try something new! Their nachos were also delicious. I’m excited for the warmer weather to play volleyball there.

Gatsby’s is my go to restaurant for pizza during the summer. They have two great patios, one in the front, and one in the back where they sometimes have bands that play. My go to order is a large pepperoni pizza, but they also have good chicken wings. My wife likes the wings in the Jim Beam sauce. Beer prices are good and selection is okay, but when drinking here I normally stick with Yuengling.

This is a good neighborhood bar that was established in 1977. It serves the typical bar food of pizza(free at happy hour sometimes and it’s pretty decent), wings, subs, and free popcorn. The staff is friendly, fast, and accommodating. On draft as of this review, they have Harpoon IPA, Pabst, Blue Moon, Bass, Sam Adams Seasonal, Alcoholic Cider(I forget which brewery it’s from), Guinness, and the typical beers that purport to be American, but really aren’t anymore. I’m looking at you Anheuser-Busch. They have a limited selection of scotches unfortunately, but they do make up for it somewhat by carrying Kraken Rum(Put a beast in your belly!)! In the men’s room they have sports pages above the urinals and a cologne dispensing machine, but be warned the cologne might make you smell worse than you did when you entered. I’ve heard that the lady’s facilities are ridiculously cramped so maybe you should pack some Vaseline and hand sanitizer in your purse. Live bands play downstairs, where there is another bar, tables, and a small dance floor. There is also a pretty sweet patio in the back with another bar and bands play there as well. There are some volleyball courts in back. They have coed leagues you can sign up for in the Summer. Also there is one of those touchscreen games, but it doesn’t have naked photo hunt unfortunately. Go to Gatsby’s on a Thursday or Weekend night and bring some friends, tip generously, leave all pretension at the door, and have a good time!
