A couple weeks ago we were told not to sit at the bar because we were attending a group event. The waitress for the group was horrible… angry and inattentive… so the bar looked like a good service alternative. Wrong, the bartender must have trained the waitress. To make matters worse I would rate their beer below average. It’s not my nature to be outwardly critical but I can’t seem to get over this bad experience.

Very disappointed tonight. no service. Hot as hell. Dirty. Only guy on the floor busting his ass for what? No stars. Seriously.

If this was just for beer, i would have given them 4 – 5 stars. But as a whole I couldn’t bring myself to give them higher than a 2. The service was subpar and the food menu was EXTREMELY limited. I believe you had your choice of 7 – 8 food items, and 3 were appetizers. The food we had was decent but nothing to write home about.

Beer is great, but the liquor prices are high — $ 12 for an Old Forester on the rocks.

I visited from Atlanta and found this to be a great place to enjoy a beer! Employees are awesome, food is good, environment is comfortable and the beer is great! Menu is good pub food to compliment the beers… don’t go to this place if you are expecting gourmet dining. This is a relaxing pub to drink beer, eat some good pub food and enjoy company. I look forward to going back and seeing how this new brewery grows!

My wife and I have been here twice, at two very different times on a Friday. We sat at the bar the first time when it was late at night. There weren’t many people there and so we had good service. We enjoyed every beer we tried as we did a flight. I expected Pigskin to have more of their own beers. I think they had 5 at the time? We had to incorporate some of the«guest beers» into our flight.(Spring 2015) The second time we went, we sat on the patio during happy hour. We didn’t experience any service because no one ever came out. We went inside to order one beer each, which wasn’t a big deal. We only had time for a beer each before we moved on. Besides enjoying the beer, I like the décor, which contributes to atmosphere for me. We didn’t eat any real food while there either time, but we really love that they not only have popcorn to eat(serve yourself), there are various flavors to put on your popcorn. It’s always nice to see something unique at a brewery and this is Pigskin’s. I will enjoy trying more of their brews over time and I could definitely imagine catching a game this Fall there.

Nice décor, but the place is dead, three servers behind the bar, and service sucks. Figured they could do a little better during Sunday football.

Alright guys, I’m telling you this because I love you and I want you to succeed. I NEED a good brewery and hang out in the cultural hellscape I call home… Gahanna. So the beers are great, no complaints there, but you need to work on your service and food. 1) Train your servers! Knowing craft beer is NOT an option if you work in a brewery. When asked how the Saison compared to Cream Of the Crop, your waitress compared your Cream to Bud Light… That’s just f***ing offensive. 2) Train your servers! If there are empty glasses and plates, don’t take one glass and leave everything else, bus the whole table. This is serving 101-C’MON! 3) Get the kitchen together. Some of your food is fine for bar food, but our quesadilla was swimming in grease, drain the freaking meat! Also, serve the damn quesadilla with a knife bc there’s no freaking way to pick up something that greasy. 4) Train your servers! Is this getting repetitive? If one person orders another beer and their compadres are running on E, don’t walk away and leave ‘em hanging. 5) Don’t lie to your customers. We tried to order cheese bites, our waitress said you were out. About 1.5 hours later we watched the guy in front of us eat them… 6) Alright, this is my second edit on this post because I just keep getting let down. For Christ’s Sake-TRAIN YOURSERVERS!!! You do not bring out two check presenters needing tip and signatures on cards with only one pen. You are a server there is no freakin’ way you only have one pen! GETITTOGETHER Step it up Pigskin, I so desperately want you to get 5 stars!

Only good part was our waitress who was attentive. To be fair I’m not a beer drinker and maybe the beer merits better reviews. Food is greasy over priced. Pretzel order included 3 pieces which were microwaved. So disappointed. Again, go there for the beer not food.

My first time at Pigskin. Pigskin brews their own beers and offers beer from other breweries. I tried the Laces Out Hefeweizen, which was very tasty — so I tried it again! The menu is pretty minimal, but the bartender let me know they are expanding with a kitchen soon and will be expanding their menu. The quesadilla and pirogies were okay. Not something I couldn’t cook at home myself. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. They had a live blues musician, who was great but didn’t seem to fit the ambiance. Free wifi and a decent happy hour are some nice benefits. Overall, the location is perfectly situated in downtown Gahanna and walking distance from the parking garage. The patio and bar seating are ample. I would try it again. Hopefully the kitchen is set up next time.

I was pretty excited about this location opening up, as it has a massive outdoor patio in a prime spot of Gahanna. However our experience at Pigskin was extremely disappointing. First and foremost, the food was egregiously overpriced and tasted like it had been picked up from a fast food restaurant and transported 30 minutes to our table. The chicken in the quesadilla was the EXACT same rubbery chicken they serve in subway, not to mention the quesadilla was not even hot. After splitting that as an appetizer, I almost started crying when I realized that I had also ordered the grilled chicken wrap and would have to endure more of the chicken. And what brewery restaurant doesn’t serve french fries? I mean honestly, the only side they had was lays potato chips because their«4×4 kitchen is too small to cook french fries.» Here’s a suggestion: devote less space to your brewery portion-because the beer stinks too-and get a bigger kitchen. Heres a better suggestion: go back to the drawing board completely fresh

My husband and I both enjoyed our beers. But the service was bad… We sat down and were greeted fairly quickly then watched the three bar tenders/servers chat with each other, redo their hair, and just generally putz around. There were less than a dozen people inside but it still took a long time to get service. The female bartender eventually came and greeted us with a «is anyone taking care of you?» As if she wasn’t sure when she had been standing probably 15 feet from us the entire time. Also, there were fruit flies.

Our server was so friendly & the beer was good. However they were WAY understaffed so we waited FOREVER to get menus. The food is mediocre at best… and terribly overpriced. The Pretzels & beer cheese were pretty good — and the best thing we had all night. The beer battered cheese bites were $ 8.50 for 51inx1in cubes of cheese that sat in a puddle of grease. That’s almost $ 2 a bite! insane. The turkey bacon wrap was missing the bacon. I was also surprised that they let people smoke on their covered patio. As a non-smoking patio lover, I won’t be back for patio beers here. If pigskin is on tap elsewhere in c-bus, I’d drink the beer, but I shan’t be returning anytime soon.

Love the football theme at Pigskin! «Home» side of scoreboards features beers brewed on site by Pigskin Brew Co and«Guest“shows those currently on tap from other brewers. Even the glasses are etched to look like footballs. Great space and atmosphere in an ideal location. The beer itself is unique and full of flavor(and of course, each beer has a football themed name). I recommend Goes All the Way… a crisp, light beer with a subtle sour finish. Now that there’s a full kitchen on site, new food items are being added to the menu to build it up to a one-stop shop for a night out. With TVs inside and out, you’ll be sure to catch your favorite game no matter what the sport. Staff was quick and pleasant on a packed Friday night. I’ll definitely be back!

My friends and I wanted to check this place out, it was our first time. Let me say this… Do not go here!!! They do not care about their customers. I am really not sure where all their staff and managers came from but they were rude and we were ignored. We eventually got a server to assist us. I came out of the restroom and they had water on their concrete floor. I slipped and fell and NOBODY from the staff came to see if I was okay or helped me. The manager was even standing right just staring at me. Only one person came to help me. Before we left, we asked to speak with the manager. Told him our concerns and about my fall. He says«oh you fell?» I said yes, you were standing right there. He only took one beer off of our tab and didn’t say anything else. I will be contacting the better business bureau

Great location. Not too busy and they have lots of beer choices. $ 6/pint of their stuff during regular hours. Didn’t try food as I’m not hungry but porter back was good. Lots of TV there and would be cool for college football games. They need some high alcohol brews too and some of their products weren’t available so there was only 4 of their own to pick from. It’s no bells or founders but still better than Gordon Biersch or Cbc.

My boyfriend and I stopped in on Saturday night and were really impressed with the décor. The weather was great and the big front doors were up, it was busy, but there were quite a few tables available so we sat down, thirsty for a cold beer. We sat… and we sat… finally my boyfriend got up and went to the bar to get our beers and a menu. He waited… and he waited. Finally he returned, disgusted and without drinks. We got up and walked out along with another couple who had pretty much the same experience. I have worked in retail as well as restaurant management for many years and cannot imagine opening a brand new bar/restaurant in an area with so much competition, and allowing this to happen. We walked directly across the street to Signatures and had a BLAST, as well as good service.

Undefeated IPA: a fitting name this IPA has crisp hoppy start with a light citrus-like finish. Legendary Amber: rich amber color, a sweeter malt mid-tongue with a light hop finish. Galactic Pale Ale: very light, almost fading fruit and malty favor that disappears quickly. Hefeweizen: darker color than a lot of wheat beers and more flavor. It is light with a clean finish that is not too sweet & does not linger. The BBQ pulled pork on pretzel bun is the right size & is very tasty.

If I could give 3.5 stars I would, this place has some potential. It’s very nice, they have a great selection of beer, a full bar too, that I didn’t even notice for awhile, but I’m here for some craft beer not the liquor. When it got busy, it felt very understaffed, many people wanting more drinks, but having to get up and go to the bar to get them every time, since I only saw one person going around, and they weren’t able to handle every table. Food, they have a limited menu, I’m assuming they have a limited kitchen, probably a deep fryer and a quick cook type of oven, I do hope they plan to expand it more in the future. It’s definitely lacking some good quality food and it’s over priced.
