Sandbox Gahanna

I currently work out of the Sandbox as well. As Michael N. stated, it is an open area with multiple desks, community work areas, a shared conference room with TV monitor and Mac Mini, several whiteboards, a kitchenette with full-​fridge, reliable wi-​fi, massage chair, fax machine, laser print station, photocopier, bulletin board, and standing bar workstation. Honestly, I couldn’t ask for more.
If I ever have to take a phone call, there is a spinning studio next door that is usually available during daytime hours to pace through in privacy, or I can usually slip into the conference room, or simply take a walk outside. In fact, the Sandbox is situated at the trailhead of a series of paths through Gahanna’s Creekside Park. Within minutes I am walking past fountains, waterfalls, paddle-​boats, woods, bridges, an island, and boardwalks over a bog. There’s even a resident swan in the creek to add to the picturesque park. On any given day I may take a few walking breaks through this park just to take my eyes off my monitor for even a few minutes.
What the Sandbox isn’t is a business incubator, as some similar businesses tend to be. Business incubators provide a host of business-​oriented services such as legal counsel, mentorship, etc. The Sandbox is simply a turnkey solution to setup your business away from home or the coffee shop, at a fair fraction of the price that it would cost to rent your own office, purchase furniture, and pay utilities.
The people at the Sandbox are also part of the draw for me. While we all work on our own businesses, and occasionally provide services for each other, the real benefit is having others around who add to the «get things done» vibe, provide a relaxing conversation over lunch, and offer a critical eye when you need several opinions on a design or business decision.
Overall, I have really enjoyed my 2 years at the Sandbox, and will continue to work from here as long as it makes sense for my business to operate out of a co-​working facility.

I currently run my business out of the Sandbox Gahanna Location. It is a co-​working environment. Co-​Working is basically one big space that several businesses share together. Here at the sandbox there are no walls that separate the various business that run out of here. This also for open dialogue and possible collaboration between the multiple businesses that run out of here.
Co-​working also allows for you to have a space to run your business economically. The cost to work out of here is cheaper than purchasing your own or leasing a traditional office.
This area is also awesome due to Creekside Park. I have walked through the back door and gone for walks back there many a time just to unwind and restart my creative flow.
I would however love for the co-​working /​collaboration to be better. I would like to see the businesses that run out of here utilize each other services better vs. going outside to do it.
