Went in for glasses was ready to purchase, there was one little glitch and the sales person left and helped other customers making me wait at a table for over an hour without checking in or even expressing distress at the inconvenience this caused me. It was completely inconsiderate and the only reason I didn’t get up and leave was that I’d already picked out the frames and it would have been more inconvenient to have to come back and start over another day.

You know how sometimes you mean to review something in a rage, but then realize you wanted am eggplant parmesan sub for dinner and you search Unilocal for an hour trying to find the best eggplant and forget about the rageful review until the next time you see a review for that place pop up in the feed? Well, that’s what happened here. So my experience took place in October, but I’m still as pissed about it now as I was then. Anyway, the doctor is fine. She’s always running late, but that’s probably to be expected. The office staff here though is shit. I know they must work on commission or quotas or something, because they are pushy and like Sabrina L said, they will stick charges on your bill for warrenties that you don’t want. But probably the worse part is the overweight woman who fits you for your glasses. Her style is not my style but she still felt the need to give her opinion about every pair I tried on. She told me she hated a pair that I really liked, and that some others made me look like an old lady. If I wanted her opinion I’d have asked for it. As it was, she was just really fucking rude. I didn’t end up buying my glasses there. I took my prescription somewhere else, with a decent staff and I was much happier. I won’t be back here. If I wanted someone with no style bitching about my choices, I’d have brought my mom.

I’m re-reviewing this Sears Optical location because my last experience here wasn’t a particularly pleasant one. The doctor still deserves 4 stars, she’s great, but at least one member of her staff was rude to me, and then the end price was 80 more than what they quoted me before my appointment. Thankfully, 30 dollars came off right away because I noticed that they’d signed me up for a one year lenses warranty, even though I’d been very clear that the only time I wear my glasses is right before bed, and I wouldn’t need anything like that. I couldn’t believe that they tried to sneak the charge on there, and then acted like I was being a pain when I asked to have it taken off. If I hadn’t insisted on seeing the charges I never would have known. I won’t be back, and I do not recommend going here.

I love this place. I knew it was going to be good when I walked back to the exam room and there was a Nintendo DS on the doctor’s desk. When I asked her about it, she said, «Sometimes I get bored.» Awesome. Everyone here is always helpful and patient. The secretaries remember me by name, which is impressive since I’m in maybe twice a year. The prices are standard, but here it’s the service that sets it apart. If you’re in the area and are looking for an eye doctor, definitely give Sears a try!
