Beware: UTILITYRIPOFF!!! Nice apartment building, great staff, clean, decent security, great location, available garages & storage, and really nice residents. Maintenance was always responsive. HOWEVER, please be forewarned that the Electric company you are forced to sign up with is a third party provider owned by Ardent(the property manager). You will not be able to select AEP or any other provider as the building itself is «submetered» and not subject to normal utility laws. They charge you double the market rate(ie like 15+ cents a kwh instead of 7 cents kwh). There was a 10 month Columbus Dispatch investigation done on this company(American Power & Light) and found to be completely unethical, but legal. The findings are published online. We paid $ 300 in one winter month for just Electric, that’s more than most large stand-alone houses. There is no natural gas bill as the furnaces are heat pumps that run on electric. Water ran us another $ 45/month but is not based upon your actual usage, it’s just the total building amount divided up by the # of apartments. Also beware upon move-out, this management company is widely known to nickel & dime you for everything possible, taking your security deposit and charging you more on top. Aside from the feeling of being«ripped off» every month on utilities, it is a nice place.

Be careful. My fiancé and I got the grand tour of the facility. we were told the lease would include a gym membership by the first lady, Sarah, only to find out by the manager this wasn’t true. We were told that our credit would be ran to see if we qualified to move in, which ended up taking over a week when we were promised next day. Because it’s an indoor corridor, we were told by Sarah that we could use the elevator to move our stuff in, only to find out this wasn’t true. We specifically asked for the Estuary Grande when it became available and even put down 50 dollars to hold it only to find out the day we planned on moving that it had been given to some one else, and no more were available. It takes at least 7 – 8 tries to get ahold of anyone at the office, but don’t take my word for it, try yourself, no messages returned. Last of all due to every inconvenience we experienced, we asked for our fully refundable deposit back because we went a much nicer place in New Albany. We were promised the check would be mailed to us by the end of the week, and we didn’t receive it a week later, we called and they stated it could take 3 additional weeks!!! Save yourself the trouble. We didn’t even move in and the experience was a nightmare. beware of the management!!!
