Akey Angeli , MD

I found Dr. Akey because I was referred to her at the end of an ER visit. I knew nothing about her, but needed a follow-​up doctor.
Her office is pleasant and inviting, somewhat spa-​like. The staff are always friendly and more than helpful. On my first visit, she ordered blood work and said she thought my neck looked a little «thick», so she ordered a thyroid ultrasound. (I am on thyroid medicine already for hypothyroidism). She was so personable, and so easy to talk to, and it was the first time in a long time that I enjoyed seeing a doctor.
I was pleased to find out that Dr. Akey does bioidentical hormone therapy, since I am already receiving them from a different doctor, and she is right on board and again, easy to talk to regarding this topic. After my blood work results, she recommended some needed supplements, and as it turns out, there was a small nodule on my thyroid that we are keeping an eye on.
Dr. Akey is very thorough and I will continue seeing her for my annual check-​ups.
