Obsessed with the cupcakes! So fresh and yummy! The service is great every time I stop in. The gentleman always greats me and is always sweet and kind. I’ve only eaten lunch once but plan on eating lunch there again. The seating area is adorable and has a small town feel to it. Love it!

I had the spinach & artichoke melt! The bread was super crisp, and the flavors went together so well! The store was empty, aside from a cashier and one other patron. Still, the atmosphere was pleasant. The dining area was absolutely adorable! Tons of comfy places to sit. Totally up my alley. Another pleasant surprise: you get a free baby cake with your meal! I had the double vanilla, and the frosting was to die for! I’m usually extremely critical of icings, but it was creamy and just the right amount of sweet. I wanted to try out the zucchini cupcake, as I had heard great things about it! But they were out at this particular time. If you’re craving a zucchini, definitely call ahead. But nonetheless, they have tons of other sweets to choose from. :)

Warning ! Do not do business with this florist. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had since moving here to Gainesville. The owner is rude and their service is awful.

Hmmm… I was really looking forward to coming here for the café menu and was let down. I ordered the curry chicken salad croissant sandwich. Rather than lettuce, they subbed it with mixed greens as a condiment. The sandwich does not come with any sides. Sandwiches. I’ve only had a curry chicken salad sandwich at one other establishment: Marti’s at Midday(Athens, GA). So in comparison, I found Babycake’s version of the sandwich to be really disappointing. A half sandwich of Marti’s at Midday runs at $ 5.50. Even HALF of a sandwich at Marti’s — well, their filling of curry chicken salad was much, much more in comparison to Babycake’s FULL version($ 5.75). Marti’s also gives you fresh baked pita slices and fruit as side items, whereas Babycake’s gives you nothing for sides(you have the option of buying the pre-packaged pretzel bags though). Filling amount aside, Babycake’s version was really watery. Flavor was alright but nothing to rave about. They also said that their breads are baked fresh daily. I don’t know about my croissant, but it tasted like a croissant purchased at Kroger(not necessarily bad, but didn’t have that true«baked fresh» taste/texture to it). Dessert. On the bright side, I got to sample a baby cake(complimentary with any food purchase) and was delighted to find that it was pretty tasty! I had the zucchini baby cake with cream cheese frosting. The frosting was a little too sweet, but it IS frosting after all. The cake itself was light, fluffy, and moist. Overall: Come for the baby cakes(as the name of the establishment suggests) but avoid the sandwiches.

Great salads and especially the chicken salad! Cupcakes are cute and tasty. Wish they served lunch on Saturday. Very busy on Fridays. Try it, you’ll like it!

I’ve only been here once but I already know we are going to be regulars. They have a little shop, café, bakery, and florist! This is a cute place to go with a couple of friends to catch up over some cupcakes and coffee! The prices are so reasonable and they have a lunch menu similar to Panera/ABC
