Make your own pizza. Thanks for the idea Kramer.(I’ll have to ask the younger readers to forgive my Seinfeld reference). It’s kind of like a Subway of pizza restaurants, but wayyyy better. You walk to the front of the line, order your pizza style, they place your order paper under your pre-prepared pizza dough and send it down the line. You get to choose from 4 – 5 different sauces, then 8 or so cheeses. You have an equal number o meat choices, and 15 – 20 veggie options. I mean… CANTHECRUSTHOLDALLTHIS?!? :D the. You can order salad, desert, beer or drink and check out to se a bar where your pizza is cooked in front of you in a stone-fired grill. I can’t say enough about the freshness, all delivered by a smiling staff. Best thing is the price $ 8 for your own pizza, made your way. When you’re ready to leave there are boxes pre-made on a shelf that allow you to pack half your pizza for next meal. Great idea because if you know I can’t eat this whole pizza, I appreciate not having to ask for a to-go box.

When I’m craving pizza, the first place that comes to my mind is Blaze! I would definitely choose this place over Papa Johns or Dominoes any day. Even though they don’t deliver pizzas, everything about this place from taste to customer service is great! I usually get a Build Your Own pizza for around $ 8 and choose my own sauce and toppings. You can choose from a set menu of options or you can build your own with all that you want. When I go, I usually get classic red sauce(other options include: white sauce, spicy red sauce and pesto sauce) and then I add meats like Italian meatball, bacon, grilled chicken and ham(there are more meats to choose from). Then I add my other toppings like zucchini, cherry tomatoes, spinach, red onions and chopped garlic! The thin crust pizza that is cooked by fire in a huge type oven is so delicious. I also like buy a drink just to have the«blood orange lemonade» that they make which is AMAZING!!! What’s great about Blaze is that you can add any amount of meat and veggies for that one low price. When I’m looking for a cheap and filling dinner, this is my go to place. I enjoy walking into Blaze and having the workers greet me and ask me whether it’s my first time or not. When I say I’ve been before, I get a «welcome back» with a friendly smile all the time! The people who work there are always so friendly and it’s great. You can also get small packages salads before you pay at the register. The whole place is a really nice set up with some chairs to eat outside. Overall, I recommend this place because of its thin crust pizza with endless amounts of toppings and it’s excellent customer service. Go check it out!

My son told us that we just HAD to stop at Blaze on our way up from Juniper Springs. It was well worth getting off course. The atmosphere is fun, original and just plane cool. Dress is casual and staff was having fun behind the counter. Think of it similar to a «Subway» for PIZZA. The stone oven is impressive and the pizza was done in minutes. The flavor is fantastic because, YOU are the one who gets to pick your toppings, sauce and extras. It was slightly raining so we didn’t get to see the side doors open up to the outside, so next time, we will have to make a stop in sunny weather to get the full affect of this playful joint. Service was so great I wanted to leave a tip and was told that they would much rather I leave a review on Unilocal. How cool is that! My only request? I WANT T-SHIRTS that have their quotes on them! Love their business card«BEUNCONDITIONALLYWISE».

Second time at Blaze… We really enjoyed it! This time we got the meat pizza and added a few things to it. They put more meat and toppings on it than they did our first time there. Definitely would recommend it!

After stopping for some gasoline in Gainesville, we drove by Blaze Pizza and looked up reviews and decided to give it a shot. Parking was a breeze. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a very friendly employee, who gave us the run down on how the restaurant worked. Blaze Pizza is a counter-serve pizzeria where you can build your own personal pizza for $ 7.50. Think Chipotle but for pizza. With no limits to how many toppings you can have on your pie, I loaded mine up. What’s not to like about that? It took less than 10 minutes for my pizza to bake, and I enjoyed it very much. I’d definitely stop by here again for a quick and easy meal

Fun, fast concept with very fresh ingredients and pizza made to order right before your eyes in under ten minutes. Good selection of vino, beers and drinks to accompany your meal. If you like your pizza crispy, make sure to ask the guy at the oven because ours came out a little soft, but altogether still pretty delicious.

I’d been waiting to review Blaze until I had the chance to try Dough Religion. Now that I have(check my profile for their review), I feel pretty confident that Dough Religion is the better provider of the fast cooked pizza in terms of taste while Blaze has the friendlier staff. Though Blaze is still pretty delicious by my standards. Located between Wendy’s and ChikFilA, Blaze was the first fast-cook pizza joint Gainesville experienced. Taking less than 10 minutes to get through the whole experience of making your pie, you can walk in and choose between a pre-designed menu option or a build your own. Please note that if you want to change anything on your pizza, they immediately note you as a build your own and you can just build your pizza around the former. Other then being ridiculously fast with creating their pizzas, Blaze also offers the option of having unlimited toppings with the ability to ask for extra. Even with their meats; pretty cool! After they take your name you’ll walk down the line conveyor belt style, similar to Chitpotle, with a new person helping you between your sauce, cheese, meats, and veggies. There are three sauces to choose from(classic red, spicy red, and creamy white), seven cheeses(of which you can add and mix up to your hearts content), and a variety of meats and veggies. Don’t worry about not knowing what the options are as you go down the line, each selection has a little placard that lists the name of the option so you can ask for it by name. Once you’ve gotten your pizza customized to your tastes they throw it in the fire to bake. Don’t walk too far! They’ll be calling your name faster then you think to pick it up. Once you’re done you also have the option to have it drizzled with any of their finishing sauces(pesto, bbq, and olive oil). The crust is where I see the biggest differences between Blaze and Dough Religion. Blazes crust is thinner and crispier, providing a much lighter taste. The toppings and sauces are high quality and will definitely not disappoint. Of the many pizzas I’ve had here, I’ve never been disappointed by the final product. And their staffs is friendly and just as high energy as their cooking process! I also had one of their smores, which is fast fired in the oven with your pizza, but it was nothing special. While it was nice and crisp, it was just like any smore you could make on your own or experience elsewhere. I’d give it 3 stars, but I didn’t factor it into my overall score.

Blaze is super affordable! It’s basically like a Chipotle for pizza. To get your money’s worth, I recommend choosing the Build-Your-Own option since you can choose unlimited toppings. They have so many choices for toppings as well. I love adding arugula at the end, which gives my pizza a more earthy taste. Overall, it’s fresh, tasty, and affordable. Even if the line is long, it doesn’t take long to create and cook your pizza.

Tried this new pizza place when I was visiting my daughter. It was amazing! You go down the line and tell them what you want on your pizza, like at Subway, then they cook it in 5 minutes, just enough time to get your drink and get a table. The crust is thin and wonderful. My advice is to eat the whole thing and don’t take any home. The leftovers aren’t nearly as good as the fresh hot pizza. There is a similar place at home called Firestorm Pizza which I will definitely try soon.

A little confusing for a first timer walking in off the street. These are thin crust wood fired pizzas that you can order preset pizzas or build your own by selecting toppings and sauces. You can either add to and build off the ones they have listed or just build your own. I was feeling rushed and there were 5 of us so we just ordered 3 of the pizzas off the menu. Next time I would build my own — you can add unlimited items to it. Not too huge so ordering 3 for 5 people was fine. They have good tea drinks there too — I had the raspberry basil one — try one!

Despising pizza basically my whole life, I may be a little two-thousand-and late, as my first visits at this hip counter-serve pizzeria began just this year. After learning you can order a personal pizza for $ 8, what more can you ask for? Ordering a personal pizza means picking a sauce of your choice and as many toppings as you wish. Wow, what a steal! While I did not grow up a pizza lover, I am in the process of experiencing different sauces and toppings. You are missing out if you have not tried the S’more Pie graham cookie. Definitely worth trying, despite its cost for the size it is. Blaze Pizza app is available for download. Scan your phone at the register to earn rewards. Through this app, you can order, earn and redeem rewards, and also pay. Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza needs a delivery service, am I right???

Love this pizza! They have Gluten Free crust. It is really good, not cardboard! You start by ordering crust, then sauce, then cheese, then meats, then veggies. You can pick a menu pizza or build your own. I chose gluten free crust and spicy tomato sauce. Then all my favorite veggies. Wow, it was great pizza, cooked to perfection!

A pizza place that doesn’t give you the side eye when you order a cheeseless pizza? YES! I love everything about Blaze! The concept is genius! You get in line, pick your crust(they have gluten free), choose from a variety of sauces, cheese, meats and veggies. They assemble your pizza and about 5 minutes later it comes out of the oven with a perfectly crisp crust. The pizzas are personal sized, but I was able to share mine with my child and was plenty satisfied. The service here was fantastic. The only issue is that the bathrooms are single stalls and the place was packed. I had to wait about 15 minutes before taking my kid to the bathroom, which is an eternity for a mom.

This is my all time favorite pizza place in Gainesville! This is my go to place for something fast and delicious. They have several different types of pizza that you can order a la carte if you are overwhelmed with the choices. You can choose to go with a traditional style pizza loaded with cheese and pepperoni(my personal favorite) or go a «healthier» route topping your pizza with tons of veggies– they have a great gluten free crust option. Most importantly the ingredients taste super fresh and the crust is to die for. BONUS: the price point is great! You make your pizza however you’d like, no questions asked! They also offer caesar salad and have a variety of juices and some beer. Their blood orange lemonade is delicious and refreshing. It’s a bit sweet for me but I just add water. The service is super fast and the staff members will go around ask you how everything is going and will even throw away your trash. I personally don’t like having them throw my stuff away since this is a fast food restaurant but I do like that they ask and are extremely attentive! The ambience is fun and cool and they have a nice little outdoor seating area. I just love this place!

The service at Blaze Pizza was incredible. Everyone was incredibly happy and energetic even though it was game day and was willing to help. Blaze pizza has a multitude of toppings ranging from white sauce, to Italian sausage and shredded bacon. The food was prepared similar to that of chipotle and was done baking in less than 5 minutes. For the price and time this place is awesome and I will definitely becoming back in the future!

Amazing pizza, even more amazing service! Think of Blaze Pizza as the«Subway» of pizza. It’s a «Make-it-Yourself» spot where you can make your own pizza from scratch. I loved how many toppings and sauces and everything Blaze Pizza had for its customers. You can be creative and make an awesome pizza, or, if you’re like me, then you will get anxiety because of the great variety offered! I asked the pizza«artisan» to surprise me with the pizza and its toppings, and after an awkward joke that didn’t go so good where he took it as a pickup line, I got a delicious pizza. I loved the food and loved the service! Would definitely come back.

Blaze has a place in the new DIY pizza trend in G’ville. It was not a trend until Dough Religion opened, but now I am looking forward to the next entry in the DIY pizza game. I love pizza, and my husband loves to mix stuff up, and then we eat it. When he mixes stuff up, he makes a huge mess that I must clean, so the concept of «build your own, DYI, Do It Yourself» pizza, and someone else cleaning up the mess, is attractive to me. Build your own pizza, is like polaroid art, it is cheep, quick, easy, and you put something of your self into it, so you feel like you are being creative within narrowly defined choices: you do not get to give input on the dough, or crafting the sauce, you do not get to even pic the style of pizza, but, if the employees work with you, you get to craft a pizza from the ingredients in front of you, the way you like it, in their style. And everyone, given that kind of superficial control, feels like Andy Warhol with a Polaroid. That is what you face with DIY pizza, and after a great experience at Dough Religion I wanted to give Blaze a chance to reply with their interpretation of the DIY pizza concept. Blaze did okay, but… Blaze has wine and beer, not a full bar like DR. I am okay with that at this level of fast food. Give me some alcohol option at this level: that is all I ask. We built a pizza at Blaze, and it came out mostly good. The downfall was the dough. They put dough in a freaky press that spins and presses it in ways that make you want to call the police. The dough is a downfall: flavor, crunchiness, yeastiness, chewiness, all of these things was off because of the way the dough was molested right before putting it in the oven. On one hand, I did not like it at all. On the other hand the dough is very thin, which I do like. Very thin dough makes a pizza that is all about the sauce and toppings. Thin dough can, CAN, also make a pizza that is a less guilty pleasure. When you are in our age, empty calories are the enemy, and a thin crust is guilt free walk on the wild side. I cannot make this call for everyone, some people buy food by the positive calorie, so many units of fuel, but for me the thinness of the crust was the crust’s only redeeming value. I love a lite pizza with a very thin crust. The crust was thin but not good. It was the type of crust I like, and it was not good. You cannot make a cruse thin enough for me, and this was the thinnest of the then but the flavor, crunchiness, chewiness, yeastiness, and the general undefined pizza crustiness, it failed on all counts, and it was burnt on the edges oxidizing my body in ways I do not want it rusted. The crust was a fail. The crust failed, the topping selection was good, the employees were not as playful as the other place, but it was the middle of the day, and personalities click and do not click based on things that are not controllable, and they have a choice of sauces — that should have been in the body of the critique — and even if the employees were not as playful, they gave no push back on crazy requests for extra stuff. Blaze was okay. I do not go down Archer unless I am forced — but I like DIY pizza, and if you are already on Archer, you should give it a try. The dough and the hate crime that happens to the dough, should not be overlooked, but I am going to overlook it and give Blaze 4 stars.

Like others have said, this is the Chipotle of the pizza world.(In fact, one of the pizza dudes there told me, as I was ordering my pizza, that the guys behind Blaze heard of Chipotle’s pending fast-pizza concept and decided to start their own.) The thing I love most about Blaze is that they let you do something that most other pizza places refuse to do: they let you do half-and-half sauces. That’s right! I can get my white-sauce fix and my red-sauce fix all at the same time. This is usually blasphemy in the pizza realm. My go-to pie is half Red Vine(add sea salt and pineapple), half White Top(hold the bacon because I’m a veggie). It’s INCREDIBLE. What Blaze gets right is consistency and quality. Every time I go, my pie tastes as fresh and delicious as I remembered from my previous visit. Plus, the staff is great. They try to get you to laugh and strike up conversation. One time, there was a staff member who was re-naming everyone with ‘90s cartoon character names instead of their own. It was hilarious. The quantity of toppings available is beyond compare. I think maybe only Satchel’s can rival the number of toppings at Blaze. The difference is that you don’t have to pay extra for toppings at Blaze! That’s right! You can add 3 pounds of meat to your pizza(you beautiful carnivore, you) and still pay the same price as everyone else.(Of course, you do pay a lesser price if you only want cheese or one topping… because Blaze cares about the un-creative customers too. :P) And Blaze also cares about its vegan and gluten-free friends. They offer vegan cheese and cardboard – I mean, gluten-free crust. Aw, how nice! Oh, and it’s super fast. Even when the line is out the door, I have my pie in under 15 minutes. Don’t be discouraged! Now, is this the best value for your dollar? Well, that depends. If you’re getting pizza from Domino’s/Papa John’s/etc., you can probably get more pizza for less money by going to those places. However, if you’re ordering from GNV’s local pizza haunts, then Blaze might give you more bang for your buck, depending on how much you eat and what you get. My husband and I always spend around $ 16 for two add-all-the-toppings pies. Every now and then, we may take a few slices home as leftovers, but we usually shove it all down in one sitting because I always fear it will never be as good if I try to reheat it myself. While Blaze doesn’t replace all my pizza purchases, it does get put in the rotation on the reg and I plan on many, many visits in the future. It’s easy to say that this place is a major upgrade to what was once expensive Moe’s(aka Willy’s).

Description: Blaze eliminates the traditional concept of pizza delivery and at the same time creates a better alternative to frozen pizza. They have also established an environment that is not only inviting but aesthetically pleasing and well organized. There are ample seats to choose from, wall plugs to charge your phone with, and a mini help yourself area for seasonings and drinks. Food & Service: Let me start off by saying the price is very reasonable if you pack on a lot of stuff like I did(different cheeses, different meats, different veggies, etc). Service is extremely enthusiastic and very attentive. The concept of Blaze is easy to follow and the menu is simple. I basically love every aspect of Blaze except for one thing: the pizza dough itself. Call me a snob but I feel like one of three essential parts of a pizza is the foundation aka dough. From my experience, the dough was limp and almost mushy. Maybe it was from my overload of toppings but I feel they have reduced the quality of their dough to increase turnover and cut costs. Final Thoughts: It’s still a solid place let’s put it that way. A unique restaurant with a cool vibe perfect for a college town and grabbing a bite with a group of friends. Parking is ample and location couldn’t be better for people living on this side of town. All in all though, because I put a huge weight on the quality of food, I’m going with three stars(3.5 stars more like). If I’m craving better quality pizza, I’d rather order to go at Big Lou’s.

Solid 4 stars The price is right for a build our own pizza. Lots of great tasty toppings to pick from. While its not wood fired pizza its still very very tasty. Highly recommend
