Carter’s Resale

A friend told me about this store a few months ago, and I finally made it down there a few days ago. My friend had told me it was an antique store and was describing some of the pieces that she had purchased, so I thought it was going to be a traditional antique store. It is so much more. They have some very nice pieces of classic antique furniture, but they also have some newer, hardly used furniture and a great selection of mid-​century modern furniture, which I love. And the best part is their prices! I went into the store expecting to have a good time looking around, but looking around quickly turned into buying a love seat, 2 chairs, 2 chests of drawers, a hutch, and a nightstand. I had to bring some friends and a uhaul back there to get all my purchases, and when we were loading it all up, my friend (who had never been there before) found a few things that he needed. We already had the uhaul, so why not fill it up? The prices are just so great! The owners were very friendly, and they were telling us that they price things reasonably because they want a quick turnover. Because of that, their inventory is always changing. I love checking out the new pictures of items on their facebook page. I will be sure to stop in here every time I’m down in Gainesville!
