The chicken was fresh and delicious, the rice was great, the crab rangoon was yummy. Had General Tso’s and Orange Chicken with two sides of fried rice, egg rolls, and a side of crab rangoon for about $ 21. That’s a pretty good lunch special, I’ll be back!

One of the worst places to dine! Food took foe ever to receive and it was cols and greasy when it did arrive. Very disappointed in this once great place to dine.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed with a meal. The vegetables were raw and the dish(chicken and walnuts) was swimming in grease. Another member of our party never got their soup and we had to chase someone down to get duck sauce and mustard. What’s happened to this place? It used to serve some of the best Chinese food in town. Not any more…

Not good at all what I would call good food. The chicken I had was over cooked to the point of being chewy and the sauces are overly salted and sweetened. Their fried noodles were very greasy and also over cooked to the point the flavor tasted off. The décor was old and in desperate need of updating. Staff was quite friendly but service was slow. It takes for ever to get a refill. Since there are much better Chinese restaurants in Gainesville, I would suggest you skip this place.

Fit at the counter had a bad attitude when icame to pick up my lunch. The chicken is good but the sauce is unlike any general tsao I’ve had before. I can’t tell if the chicken was burnt or if the sauce was burnt. Big qualify meat but the seasoning was off. The fried rice was OK but very little vegetables in the rice. The only truly enjoyable part of the lunch special was the egg roll. That was fresh and tasty.

The food is hit and miss, the nights that it’s good it is well worth the price. Delivery is really fast. Only two complaints. First if you call in expect to be put on hold for ten minutes or longer, one night I had to call back 3 times because I kept getting hung up on. Second is the chow mein, not an expert in the Asian languages but I’m pretty sure they are supposed to be stir fried noodles. Ordered it once and received a repulsive bowl of sprouts and cabbage. The owner argued with me about it and would not replace my dish even though I did not want it. Overall this place is ok and since there is a lack of competition in the area we don’t have much of a choice of where to go for Chinese food.

The food here is really good! Occasionally its hit or miss but that is with any restaurant. Their delivery times are the fastest I’ve seen yet. Seriously like 20 minutes! Its crazy.

…been going for years. They are consistent and the food is always fresh and hot. I remember larger portions before the economic decline, but I have no complaint about food or service. My family really loves the beef lo mein. I like mine spicy and they add that for me every time. We always seem to go late, but the waitress never seems to mind. We love this place… best in town.

The place used to have awesome food but tonight everything was bland or had a burnt taste. The duck sauce tasted like it came from an old can. We mentioned this to the staff and had no response. Unfortunately, we will be looking for another place to enjoy oriental cuisine. :(

I ordered fried potstickers and the Dragon and Phoenix combo w/white rice. The chicken in Dragon and Phoenix was delicious and plentiful. The shrimp came like I had never experienced it before, in some red sauce in what looked like soup. Also, there was only about 5 – 6 medium sized shrimp, which is flat out unacceptable. The potstickers were bland and very gummy for«fried». If anyone knows of a better takeout place in Gainesville, please make it aware on Unilocal

The best chinese food in gainesville, no one really dines in, and I now know why, the only waitress there is very rude, left her a $ 3 tip and I guess she wanted more so she turned around and yelled some thing in chinese to me as I walked out the door. It was probably and insult, she look very mad when I turned around. Other than her the food is the best, best just to carryout

Dinner entrees include soup or egg /spring roll. We made the mistake of ordering 2 entrees for the 2 of us … plenty of food for 4… and excellent! Top notch ingredients, prompt friendly service. When we arrived about 6PM there were only 2 other couples, but it filled quickly. Clearly a lot of take-out biz. Conveniently located across Pearl Nix from Lakeshore Mall. Move this one to the top of your list.

This is some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. I usually go for the General Tso’s Chicken, but I’ve had numerous dishes here and they are all top-notch. The service is very attentive, and if you go for lunch, which comes with your entrée, soup, rice, and either egg roll or crab rangoon, the value can’t be beat. Every time I’m in town visiting my family, I make it a point to come here. If I could only eat one meal out in Gainesville, it would be here!

I love their Tangerine Beef … the family loves the Shrimp and Veg or the Chicken and Veg. The place looks empty, like a dingy strip-mall type of place past its heyday … but appearances can be deceiving. They do a booming job in carry-out, and at certain times of the evening, the dining room is packed. Very reasonable prices, and great food.
