Great place, great people, great facilities. No initiation fees, no monthly required fees, reasonable monthly rates for singles and families. Super pros and all inclusive rates.

I grew up playing here: summer camps were fantastic & intensive, instructors were always quality pros/athletes and had great advice! Thanks for all the great court time & memories!

The racquet club advertises itself as having a pool, weight room, rball courts and tennis courts. To be honest, the pool and weight room are mediocre at best, about what you’d expect to find at an apartment complex. The tennis courts aren’t anything spectacular but they do seem to be kept in good shape. That being said, I don’t use any of those facilities. I only use the rball courts. There are 3 indoor courts housed on the premises that are perfectly usable. But, to be honest they also show signs of wear and tear. The reason it gets 4 stars from me is that it’s an available indoor rball court in Gainesville that doesn’t require you to have student ID. Which makes it really the only game in town. On top of that, most of the other clients are friendlier older couples or families, so you won’t have to worry about a hostile environment. Fees have recently increased from $ 35/month to $ 40/month for the rball membership, but I suspect that’s because they’ve recently redone the clubhouse(which actually looks nice). This gives me hope that they actually have plans to update the rest of their facilities as well.

An older, but still perfectly suitable, sports arena that focuses on tennis and racquetball. Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of, say, the Student Rec Center or the Southwest Rec Center on UF’s campus, but it’s still a very good place to learn the basics of the sport – or in my case, to be completely disassembled by a good player. I really DID enjoy losing every match by an average margin of 13 points. Thanks, sweetie :) Membership is $ 35/month, which to my limited experience with sports dues, seems fairly inexpensive for open access. Members are very friendly. I can’t remember the last time so many strangers waved at me!
