Hope this isn’t a sign that it’s going downhill, but while the machines are still pretty good… they’ve had the A/C set so high the last couple of times, it’s like an oven in there now. Used to be nice and cool. So I’m taking a couple of stars off.

I used to think this was the only decent laundromat in Gainesville. I now I realize I had been duped. The inside of the washing machines smell like farts and vomit. The option to wash with hot water is a lie. They don’t have a working hot water heater and haven’t for months if they even really have one. I do like that you don’t have to use quarters and instead use a card but you pay $ 1 more than all other laundromats for what? So you can wash your clothes in fart, vomit scented cold water. AWESOME!

Totally a laundromat and totally not a gross laundromat. That’s about as much as you can ask for, I guess. Wi-fi is fast and solid, use the guest account and the password«laundry». No tables or places to sit, really, but the wi-fi reaches out to the front. The card thing deterred me at first, but yeah, it is painless. It’s a modern machine and simple to use. The machines have always been clean and I’ve never had an issue finding plenty of open ones.

Love this laundromat — clean, cool in the summer, and there are two entrances, one on the Main St. Side and one that goes to the rear parking lot. Wash and fold is 80-cents per pound and the last wash is 9pm. You have to purchase a card and put money on it or laundry, but it’s an easy process and you can use your debit or credit card to add money.

About as good as a laundromat can be, I guess. Airconditioning, Wi-Fi, amusing signs suggesting you keep your children under control, etc. They use an electronic system, no quarters allowed. The attendants are usually pretty nice. Also, they have 2 TVs, though if you’re stuck listening to Monday night smackdown, you might wish they didn’t.

In six years in Gainesville, this is the first time I’ve used a laundromat. I first went to 6th Street Laundry and turned right back around. The machines were small and expensive in a building with no ac and practically no place to sit and wait. I am glad that I did because then I went to Gatorland and was very very pleased. The building is so clean and well lit, with cable televisions and free wireless internet. The machines were HUGE and new and MUCH cheaper than 6th street or using laundry drop-off. I am a massage therapist and had a large number of sheets and towels in addition to my clothes. I got everything done in 1 ½ hours for less than $ 10. Plus, the owner was super nice and there is always an attendant there. Winn-Dixie is right next door if you need to grab some groceries. Overall, Gatorland was safe, clean, fast and inexpensive, and I will definitely go there again.
