I made a purchase on 8⁄21. The item was out of stock and I was told I would I could pick it up in 2 days. 2 days later, I’m told wait 2 more days. 2 days later I’m told that item is on back order and won’t be coming in. I tell the assistant manager that I’ll take the same product, different color, which was in stock, instead. I’m told I have to pay again and that I would be refunded for the original purchase in 2 days. Three weeks later, four phone calls to their corporate office, still no refund. So, if you don’t mind having your brain circulate around the purchase of a desk chair for a month, shop at Office Max.

Stopped on today to scan/send some docs on email. The cashier at the entrance was polite and helpful — I wish I knew her name… but the only name I have is the nasty b! tch that helped me –Amber. I get that it’s a challenge to be pleasant when your customers are cranky, but when we come in smiling and in a good mood, and you still can’t manage to be polite, that’s a problem. Amber was nasty, rude and dismissive. I think if she smiled her face might crack. When she walked away from me(without a word) to the other end of the counter I followed thinking we needed to use the other register… only to have her then walk back to our original spot, wait for me to walk back, be nasty and walk away again. So this time I didn’t follow… and all this while the she’s not asking me to wait or to follow… not telling me anything… but then she yells my total from the other register. I won’t be back… and I guarantee when I tell this story to my office — manager, our office won’t be using them anymore either.

I went last week– the place is still sterile and functional, with one person up front to check out people and answer the phone. It’s just a store, no feeling to it.
