My favorite massage clinic mainly because the therapists are so talented at using massage like physical therapy. I had lower back problems and was on the verge of getting surgery. Between ice packs and six weeks of 2 – 3 massages per week, was recovered and now have no sciatic pain. I’ve given their massages as gifts a dozen times to grateful acclaim from my friends and family. Finally, if you’re into fitness, try out a couple hyperbaric oxygen sessions here. They turn me into a tireless cardio train-iac when I get them. Club rubs in Atlanta are $ 85 – 125 and hour. Come get a true, deep therapeutic massage for $ 50 here.

Massage Service: The costs are reasonable BUT, the service is not very professional. I requested a deep tissue massage, and reminded the therapist(Kaley) of such at the beginning of my session. I did not receive deep tissue at all. A couple of times during the service, the therapist rubbed hot oil on my neck and shoulders, then wiped it off with a rough towel. OUCH! There is a lot of noise going on in the building during your service, since they run a «Tea Room» out of the front of the building. The ONE bathroom is rear of the building, so folks are consistently walking back and forth in front of your room(some may stand there and talk). Don’t expect a quiet experience. I’ve had great massages. This one was sub-par. I don’t recommend staying for lunch, either. We waited 10 minutes for a server in a near empty restaurant, only to find out that they were out of most everything on their menu for the day. Save your dollars.

I would not recommend anyone to get a massage here. I got a massage on Wenesday, about an hour later my neck felt a little soar. I had never gotten a massage before so I thought this was normal. By 7pm by neck was killing me! The next day, my neck and should were so swore I had to leave work early. I have no idea what the lady did but she really missed my neck and shoulder up. I called to inform the lady in charge about my bad experience, she didn’t seem to care much. I am not talking mild or regular sworness, I was in PAIN and couldn’t even sleep! So much for relaxing, please do not go here!

Met up w/a friend after her facial(which she said was awesome) at the tea room. Very nice staff, nice atmosphere and the chocolate mint fusion tea was the bomb!

Quiet atmosphere. I recommend going on a late afternoon weekday. Two massages already… the deep tissue could have been more deeper, but it is purely a subjective critique. The hot stone was wonderful. The only thing I didn’t like was the fast massage of the feet. It was a little startling when you are so relaxed.

Ok, so since I was given a gift certificate for two massages, I decided to give Serenity another chance, even though my previous review was a poor one. When we arrived, another tea party was in full swing(flashback to previous review) but at least this one was for adult ladies. So, the massage was very nice, and we decided to have a cup of tea. I had just done my Unilocal check in, commenting on the tepid tea I had been served, when a spa worker who looked exactly like Thomas P(see his biased review of Serenity — only one review in two years — so suspicious) saw me Unilocaling. He asked me about Unilocal, like he had never heard of it(yeah, right!) and I said Unilocal was great for finding peer rated businesses, etc. He walked away after and I thought that was over… was I ever wrong! Evidently, he went into the back office and pulled up my review of Serenity. Next thing I know, the owner comes out surrounded by all her waitresses. She began to berate me for my last review 10 months ago. Says my review was damaging to her business and was impacting her waitresses, all of whom were mothers(not sure why that was relevant). She also said that if I didn’t like her place, I should get out and not come back. How unprofessional! If her business is getting bad reviews, maybe there is a real fundamental reason. Maybe it is her temper and tendency to ask paying customers to leave and not come back. The owner is a bigger problem than a bad review. Funny enough, without the owner incident, I probably would have given Serenity a better rating than I had previously. After all, gift certificate notwithstanding, I spent $ 75.00 there for a coffee pot and dry teas. Still, all in all, I could not in good conscience recommend this business to anyone. Folks, give this place a miss.

As a chiropractor and practicing for the last 18 years, I have seen my share of massage therapists come and go… and some really needed to go. Serenity has been a refreshing change offering a dependable, affordable and wonderful experience for several of my patients. There location is convenient and is absolutely beautiful inside. Thank you for offering here in Gainesville something so terrific and before you has yet to be offered.

First eveyone needs to understand that Jim B is part of the Elite with Unilocal who recieves things in exchange for reviews so as the owner of Serenity and Annastasia’s Tea Room I feel compelled to write a note in response to Jim B.‘s complaint. First everyone has the right to feel any way about their experiences that they have at a resturant. I do take into consideration the mood in which a client enters is relivant to the experience they have while here. Because we are also a spa we are very intuitive about peoples moods and try very hard to work with each person. With that said on that given day we did have a group of 10TEENAGERS enjoying the one girls birthday, her mother had made reservation a month in advance and the theme she chose was what her daughter wanted… which was mad hatter. Because we are not a childs party place it was respectfully decorated with the Alice in Wonderland dinnerware and some of the teens dressed up. And her mom baked a cheshire cat cake which was very cute. She even booked the party for 3 after lunch rush and everything was fine until… Jim B and his merry band of complaining family members arrived. I was not there, sorry Jim my sister had terminal cancer and I was with her so I couldn’t be there to kiss you butt the whole time. But my staff which included my daughter in law, 2 sons and a niece said they first warned you that there was a party and you had a choice not to stay but then they tried to bend over backwards to do anything for you’s and you’s were just RUDERUDERUDE. Here is a break down of your ticket: ½ Roast Beef Sand with cup of Italian wedding soup 5.75 ½ Roast Beef Wrap with cup White Bean Chicken Chili 5.75 ½ Roast Beef Sand with cup Creamy Potato Soup 5.75 ½ Turkey Sand with cup creamy Potato 5.75 ½ Turkey Sand with cup Potato Soup 5.75 Tuna Salad on a bed of lettuce 5.85 6 cup pot of Buckingham Palace Tea 4.75 5 layer Chocolate fudge 4.75 Cranberry white choc scone 2.50 Lemon Merg pie 3.50 Tiramisu 3.50 Coke 1.50 4 specialty chocolates 1.5 oz 8.25 Tax 4.43 total 67.67 Well now the tiramisu was 3.50 not $ 8. and at Sams a pan is $ 15 and you get about 12 small peices making each piece about $ 1.25 each now get a server, a dishwasher and a cook, refridge, electric, water bill in there… want it for free. stay home. I order mine from an Italian Bakery thru Sysco food service it $ 49. a pan sorry I have to recoop my money some where. I know most resturant owners understand this. Aside from that the two things I want to address is: 1. The social media is here to share, help and inform. If you were unhappy with the bill why not discuss it at the counter when you paid? But then I noticed you have 81 reviews on Unilocal lucky me that you came here. Please I say this with all my heart please do not ever come back to my business again. 2. To be rude and belittle my other guests at my resturant is rediculous. The teens at the party didn’t not make fun of you challanged child but you made fun of them… really who here could learn from this example. I applaud the teens. Sorry your experience was bad, but sorry after my sister passing this month you sound like a whinning child and hey don’t bother coming for a massage either. There will be no appointments available. I have realized reading your reviews if it’s not a buffet, all you can eat or heaping plates your not going to be happy, advice would be stick to Ryans.
