Huge fan of Tap It! My husband and I live in Atlanta and have become big fans of the growler craze. I was excited to hear that a growler store had opened in Gainesville for when we were in town visiting my family. Tip: It’s actually located inside of True Value Hardware on Thompson Bridge. Tap It has the best selection of craft beer in Gainesville. Not only can you sample before you decide what growler to purchase, but they also offer flights for purchase(maximum two per person) for a great price. The atmosphere is super casual and chill and a great place to enjoy a flight of beer with some friends. Additionally there are dart boards, free popcorn and they are dog friendly! Can’t recommend Tap It enough! Also, you can check out their website to see what is currently on draft! Cheers!

Tap It Gainesville. What the heck is a Growler? Growlers are filled straight from the tap, sealed with a twist-cap, then with a plastic wrap over this to seal it. It is then labeled with it’s frothy contents. A Growler is 64oz, however, the smaller Howler is 32oz. Filled prices average from around $ 4 to $ 15 or more for some of the rarer craft beers. Just note that you must always refrigerate growlers. Doing so will give them a shelf-life of 7 – 10 days, or around 2 – 3 days once opened i’m not sure mines empty before that. These are perfect for parties and excellent gifts. We had a growler party, everyone brought their favorite and we all had the chance to taste 15 different craft beers. Why bother when you can stand in the beer isle of Kroger and pick out a craft beer? Many reasons but the most important is taste. You are getting it straight from the keg the way the brewer intended. It is fresh, bottles sit in warehouses and on hot trucks. Even the bottling process itself changes the taste. Fresh from the tap has no comparison. With 30 taps on hand Tap It has a fantastic selection. The guys know their stuff, so tell them your likes and they will provide you with three free samples. Choose the one you love, pick a size and off you go. To acquire knowledge, one must study or be taught; but to acquire wisdom, one must taste life. Let these guys knowledge help you on your path to beer wisdom. There website is updated daily and has a full list of beers available with a full description. Don’t like beer? Have you tried Moo Hoo chocolate beer, cherry wheat, strawberry ale, Gram cracker porter? They have a beer you will love I promise. Heck just get the Root Beer it will blow you away. Prost! My friends. The location on Thompson Bridge makes it easy to get in and out. The place continues to build a cool vibe. The staff is cool and have big plans. They are selling by the pint to drink in house and have started adding pub type entertainment such as darts. Don’t let the landscape side of the business fool you this place is the real deal. Besides yard work/beer? Honey im going to fill the propane tank and pick up some beer. See the connection… Update: the tap take overs every other Friday are the busiest hippest ace in Gainesville. Food trucks and unlimited beer by the pint or flight. So thankful this is here. There is no such thing as a bad beer. It’s that some taste better than others. Billy Carter

Friendly service and an exceptional store idea! This place cannot come highly recommended enough from me. I’m a huge beer fan and I’ve been looking to broaden my horizons for quite some time. Tap It provides the means to do this without the commitment that comes from buying a six pack of craft brews. The staff are friendly and attentive and will let you try whatever you desire. Once you’ve picked a beer, you buy a container(that you can reuse at their store later) and they’ll fill it up for you. I’ve tried so many new beers since discovering this place, and I’ve got to say that I am immensely appreciative to have this store so close by. 5⁄5

The Thompson guys are long time friends and we’re loving their beer store! If you’re looking for really good beer that you can’t get in a bottle in most stores, this is the place to be! They also have some pretty awesome grilling equipment. Go get some good beer!
