I never review places, but I absolutely loved this place. Catfish just like grandma used to make, steak, chicken, pulled pork, sausage and ribs all great! Check out the sweet green tomatoes and the 3 kinds of cobbler with a dollop of ice cream on top. A nice stop at the end of a long drive, reasonable price as well

We always enjoy both the BBQ side and the Seafood side of this restaurant. Something for everybody and u will not leave disappointed. All you can eat steak, potatoes, ribs, bbq, and fried squash(hard to find on most menus)…need I go on… Better go ahead and add the delicious cobbler a la mode. Try the Catfish Louie’s side for the all you can eat special during Lent(maybe all the time… not sure). It is an amazing value with the low price for the best fried fish and shrimp in our area.

Awesome buffet, especially after a day of hiking. Very attentive waitstaff. I plan to return the next time I’m passing through Gainesville.

The staff was very friendly and attentive! There was a wide range of food to choose from. Everything I chose was great! The homemade cherry cobbler was wonderful. Loved the down home atmosphere.

My husband and I both really liked the buffeted thought every thing was very good. We are from S. Dakota, we do not get food like this up there. Fried okra is rarely found there’s were good, brisket was excellent catfish was tasty, sausage was good too. I liked the way green beans were made. then for dessert 3 cobblers. Peach was the best. The waitress was attentive, neverl let our glass be empty. All in all a great place to eat. We stopped on our way to Austin and also on the way home, would recommend to any one.

My family comes in quite often. There buffet is pretty good, you will definitely leave full. The thing that truly keeps us coming back is the service. You will not meet a better group of people who understand what good friendly country service is all about. When you walk in the young ladies at the front are all smiles and understand the need of patience with elderly people. The line cooks are nice and will accommodate anything you ask to have refilled or recooked and the ladies on the floor keep your tea and soda full. All in all if you are looking for a hardy meal and a good price with great people, this is it.

I agree with previous review. The fried catfish and shrimp taste like they were frozen. The bbq ribs were tasteless and had too much fat. Salad bar consisted of lettuce, tomatoes and dressing only.

Save your money and stop at the gas station across the street. The ribs are by far the best thing and they are just ok IMO. Everything else taste like a Hungry Man TV dinner. If the hotdog vendor at HomeDepot opened shop next door this place wouldn’t last.

I had the all you can eat catfish and loved every bite the fresh barbecue beans and bacon, the coleslaw, and of course the fresh cooked catfish were all excellent. The lady I was with said the barbecue buffet was okay, however when you are there, get the fresh cooked catfish from the catfish Louise side. This place is actually two restaurants in one. I guess it all depends on the flavor you are looking for. I personally enjoy both sides. Great service from a very personable waitress and my tea glass never went empty. Six sass fully overloaded my self with fried catfish.

Never a wait when I go. Always plenty of hot, tasty food awaits: salad, vegetables, great fried catfish, barbecue beef, smoked sausage, fried chicken, steak(3rd rate), large, perfect french fries, Texas toast, hot rolls, cold drinks, beer in the bottle, 3rd rate desserts. Friendly waitresses. Not the cleanest place; needs a new interior. Very reasonable prices.

Everything tastes like it is brought in frozen and just reheated. It would be ok if the buffet was $ 4.

4.5 stars this is the ultimate country buffet. Crispy fried catfish, bbq ribs, tender brisket, sausage, ham, chicken and fried shrimp-those are from the best to the ‘okay’. The chicken was average, the shrimp was overcooked and tough-thus the loss of ½ a star. But you don’t go here for the shrimp, you go for the catfish and bbq! The sides are fresh crispy salad, green tomato relish, numerous peppers, the typical pea and potato salads. Corn cobbettes soaked in butter and crispy fried okra and squash. Standouts include the pinto beans and the hot homemade cobblers. Your choice of cherry, apple and peach. Nothing was bad and you won’t leave hungry. Our total bill for lunch was $ 22.00 for 2 adults and one senior-2 sweet teas and one water. If you are ever in Gainesville their friendly servers will keep your glass full and treat you right!
