Customer service finally came through with a check after repeated delays and bombardments asking for me to write a better review. As I appreciate the hand written letter as a sign of good faith, my review will remain unchanged.
As a Unilocaler, I try and keep a level mindset and honest opinion regarding the business and service that I’ve received. Had everything gone though promptly, maybe I’d up this another star or two, but certainly not 3 or 4 tagged onto my 1 star.
I won’t be using this company again nor will I recommend it to friends. I stand behind my original review that you need to make sure 100% in writing the prices before they come to your place.
For me, the damage was done with my experience and expectations of this location. I’m not saying you will have a bad experience, just make sure to do your due diligence and be prepared for an up-​sale at your front door.
Overall, the job was done. The company responded and a resolution was made. But I don’t appreciate being asked constantly to write a better review for a generally poor experience.

1−800-Got-Junk worked within my budget and accommodated my needs for removal of heavy items first; followed up with removal of other items. They came out on a Saturday afternoon, gave me a reasonable quote, and started to work immediately. They were strong, hard workers; courteous workers; and, fast! I have absolutely no complaints. I’m happy to recommend them.

The telephone rep as well as the two men who picked up my junk were not only efficient, but also very courteous and eager to please.

The office staff was very accommodating when I had to change the date/​time of service at the last minute. The crew was amazing, polite, and efficient. The follow through was excellent. They took everything we needed to get rid of.

We had urgent need of junk removal as dusk approached on a recent bitter cold holiday evening. Bradley’s cheerful «Can Do» confidence and assurance that he could send a crew immediately was beyond our expectations, as we had expected at best to be scheduled for next-​day service. Within a couple of hours, a delightfully pleasant and energetic team, Denis and AJ, arrived with their truck and in no-​time-​flat had loaded their truck AND swept out the space AND offered to help with anything else we needed. We went from hopelessness to elation in the space of two short hours, and were charged the MINIMUM rate for their above-​and-​beyond service. OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE from start to finish. GRATEFUL THANKS!

I have used 1 – 800 got junk several times during the last several years. Their men have always been courteous, careful and pleasant. This last time, I called them on a Sunday and needed to have items picked up that same day. They were able to accommodate me. I filled almost half of the truck and it costs $ 625.00. I thought that seemed high compared to my last pick up. But they did come quickly and it had been a year or two since my last call. I will definitely continue to use them when the need arises.

Very helpful, accommodating and efficient! Reasonably priced — especially for a last minute reservation to have a couch removed from our condo. I was very impressed by their communication and customer service, who was awesome in confirming reservations and answering questions.

I am extremely pleased with this service. The two men that came were polite and very careful not to bang anything into my walls. They completely cleaned out my attic, which was quite a job considering I have lived in this house for 26 years, and raised a family here. They left the attic clean and empty. They were fantastic! Well worth the money.

We have used this company several times over the past few years and have been very happy with the service provided. Members of their team are always very courteous and helpful. On the last visit they inadvertently left a large item behind — but they were extremely apologetic and remedied the mistake the very next day. If you need to get rid of junk quickly and efficiently, this is the service for you!

They replied stating they couldn’t find my activity. I told them and emailed them to look under my mother’s name. Still no reply to come get the 2 chairs left behind. I am trying out a different junk removal company. Also, if they aren’t allowed to remove any posts, where is my first one? They are overpriced and if I pay almost 1300.00, I expect to have everything removed.

I had an appointment between 5 and 7 PM on July 31. I called to confirm and when I spoke with the contact I asked if it could be scheduled closer to 7 PM. He said no problem. He called later and said they would be running late. Then at 8 pm he called to say they wouldn’t be coming at all. He actually tried to make it sound like it was my fault they weren’t going to show up – he said that because I asked for them to arrive close to 7 they went ahead and scheduled other work, implying it was my fault.
I had piled a lot of garbage on my lawn to be hauled off and the next day I would be leaving so this was a problem. Finally after pitching a fit with someone at their customer service they said they would get another truck in Rockville and come to the house but it would be at 9 pm. I told them to forget as by that point I had found another provider (Get Rid of It). It was very aggravating to say nothing of the person trying to make it sound like it was my fault.
Do not use this company, at least from the Cessena Ave. location, they do not respect their customers!!!

I scheduled my appointment online at 7pm and they came the next morning at 11:30. William called me one half hour before arriving and when he arrived he greeted me with a handshake and introduced himself. He was very professional, friendly and quick! I had a large gas grill, and two doors to be taken away. I was quoted a very reasonable price. I used 1 800 Junk about 9 years ago and remembered they were great back then and they still are! Highly recommended.

I was so impressed with the customer service with 1−800-Got-Junk, that I wanted to let others know. My experience was pleasant from the time I called to make a reservation, when they called to confirm the reservation, and when they arrived at my apartment. They were very flexible with appointment reservations. They were totally compatible with my work schedule. The guys that arrived were extremely well mannered, arrived on time, and were very careful to make sure they didn’t scratch the walls as they were removing the unwanted items. The price was also very competitive with similar services in the area.

Okay, if you don’t want to get dirty and don’t want to deal with it, then go ahead and use these people. You will pay a hefty premium for just 16 cubic yards of trash, and it fills up quick. You’ve seen the show and you’ve seen their trucks. They aren’t that big, especially if you’re doing a horder house. But they will gladly do all the dirty work.
Now, make sure when setting up an appointment that they BRING ENOUGH PEOPLE. Otherwise, they will complain of time constraints for doing an 8 person job with just 2 people and warn you with a 170 $ an hour surcharge. Very lame.
Now if you have enough help, are able bodied and don’t mind a little elbow grease, it’s much better to rent a ²⁰⁄₃₀ yard dumpster for a week or so and start throwing out the garbage YOURSELVES and pay half the cost. It cost me over a 1000 dollars worth of one and 3/​8s of a 16 cubic yard truck versus 400 dollars for a full 20 yard dumpster for a week. You do the math.
Again, if you don’t like to get all icky and don’t want to work, then these guys should be at the top of your list. If you don’t mind working, get a dumpster.

Do Not Use this company! We called to get an estimate and the two guys that showed up we’re trying to take our furniture. And to top it off, they tracked mud throughout our house! Very unprofessional!!! Plus, the prices they quote you when you finally do get a quote, are outrageous! Would not give them any stars!
