I am so happy to have found this Indian Buffet right in my neighborhood. The manager used to be at College Plaza and that restaurant was our office’s go-to place before the store changed hands. My son and I had been at this Muddy Branch Plaza location when they first opened in December for lunch and it was pretty busy. I was in the mood for Indian food today and got there around 1:00 and it was quiet. Nevertheless, there was an adequate number of selections, both carnivore and vegetarian, and the food was hot and tasty. I observed the worker constantly mixing the food over the heat source. It was nice to see some crisp papads. What is also good about this restaurant is not only the tasty food, but the very reasonable price. This buffet is $ 3 cheaper than Minerva(the buffet closer to my recent workplace). So, if you like Minerva, this may only be another 7 minutes further northwest(on Muddy Branch minutes from Deer Park Rd).

I’ve tried the location in Germantown, and when I found out that they opened another location closer to home I was really excited! Service: 4⁄5 we were greeted at the door by the manager(I can only assume, he was giving orders to the only other waiter on duty). We were immediately seated and water served. Overall since we choose the weekday buffet deal there isn’t much so say about the service. Our plates were collected punctually. We did have to flag the manager down for a refill of naan once or twice but other than that nothing to brag or complain about. Food: 3⁄5 the spread for the buffet was basic and I MEAN basic; tandoori chicken, butter chicken, basmati rice, goat curry, and an assortment of dessert were all available. There were also other curries but I forgot their names… I really enjoyed the butter chicken curry, which had a hint of sweetness and spice all at the same time. And the garlic naan was superb. I literally just sat there dipping the naan into the butter chicken curry. Everything else was average nothing to holler about. The tandoori chicken was definitely overcooked and so dry, that being my biggest quim. Ambience: 3⁄5 average. Basic wooden tables and chairs. Nothing to comment really… Overall, dont expect for this place to blow you away. It’s an average spot, «good» at best. Its not a place that I would take my foodie friends if I was trying to impress them. But for the price($ 8.99 for the weekday buffet and $ 9.99 for the weekend) i would definitely come back to satisfy my indian food cravings with some garlic naan and butter chicken.

Ordered a take out on a Saturday evening, ambience was alright and I didn’t see much of a crowd but the food was delicious. I tried tomato soup, butter naan, onion kulcha, paneer tikka masala and vegetable biryani; veg. biryani had broccoli in it which I would certainly avoid in my next order as it messes-up with the taste. On the whole, there is nothing fancy on the menu but this place will fill your appetite and your soul gets a sense of satisfaction.

Went there for lunch buffet. Selection was limited, especially vegetarian. The lemon rice was bitter & sour. There was no dessert in the lunch buffet, and they don’t have iced tea?! Indian palace in Germantown is still the best lunch buffet in my opinion. Will not come back to this place

Was on my way to il Porto, the Italian restaurant in the same shopping center as curry place, then I saw a new Indian spot that I had yet to try so I immediately had a chane of heart. My group were one of maybe three parties, thus service was naturally excellent. The food was better than expected; I am looking forward to trying something new next time! Excellent.
