Elite Moving Labor

We had the worst possible experience with Elite Movers a couple of weeks ago, and their subcontractor, Christian Brothers.
The one good thing — they were PUNCTUAL.
It took 5 hours for these two men to move items into a 16 foot POD (while my husband and I loaded boxes into a 10 foot truck in 45 minutes — and he had a bilateral hip replacement.) — I mentioned several times that there was NO sense of urgency — it was clear these guys were paid by the hour. They seemed to be MEANDERING through the job. Additionally, these folks came with NO tools, NO clear knowledge of how to load a POD even though the ELITE website states otherwise, and RIGHT after being shown exactly what was very fragile and needed EXTREME care, tried to load it up without wrapping. Thank GOD my husband was standing there to catch it. The list on this is long, but the worst part is we received a survey afterwards, and my husband put extensive detail into it — and no one responded. Nothing. So clearly, Elite doesn’t actually CARE what your experience was like. it’s just for show, apparently.
They apparently do NO screening of their subcontractors so you have no idea what you are getting, and they don’t hold themselves responsible when things go wrong. so at this point, you would be doing yourselves, and your move, a deep disservice by not considering alternate options.
Moving is SO stressful, and these guys made it worse. Maybe UnilocalING will yield some kind of follow up. I won’t hold my breath.

They showed up almost two hours late and screwed me with my building on the use of an elevator. They also forged the document with the start times. No customer service help when I called.

DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY. We hired this company expecting to have movers meet us but none showed up. They did not even call to tell us there would not be anyone there to move us once we arrived. So-​called customer service is not «open» on weekends to help. To date they have not refunded our deposit! Do not trust their promises.

Elite movers were extremely professional and very accommodating! I was running late with my truck move and they were able to change their schedule to stop by a few hours later as opposed to charging me for nothing. Gwen (reservation or Project manager) was very helpful and extremely nice. The two movers were very professional and did a fantastic job with the move. I am excited I used Elite movers and would definitely recommend them if you need extra help. The rate was a bit high due to the 2 hour/​2 person minimum but that seems to be the standard. Thanks!

I hired Elite Moving Labor to help unload a 26′ truck that was approximately 75% full (items from storage, including a hot tub), then travel approximately 0.5 miles to a condo, load the truck with all our furniture and some large boxes, return to the original location and empty the truck again.
Three movers were scheduled to show up at 900… I was notified by phone they were going to be a little late due to traffic (very responsible); they showed up at 930, quickly surveyed the job (due to the hot tub) and were unloading in ~ 5 minutes. These guys were being paid by the hour but it was hard to tell, they were really hustling the entire day. They completed the entire job in approximately 7 hours, I was completely impressed.
The booking process and all interactions with the main office, as well as all interactions during the day with the movers was professional and very courteous. NOTHING was damaged during the move and we have some over-​sized furniture.
OVERALL: Cost-​effective, professional, quick, reponsible… I would definitely use them next time around, no matter how big or small the job.
