The place is small with a very shabby chic like atmosphere. The owners are very nice and polite. The food is good but a little pricey due to that it is probably because it is in the Kentland’s and the items are organic. I love their Breakfast Platter, two eggs with my choice of home fires and toast love their Arnold Palmer.

If I could give this place more stars, I would… First of all, the owners are very sweet and the place itself is very quaint and cute. When I walked in I was very excited because there was no wait and the décor was adorable. I was really excited up until the point the food arrived. The portions were small for the price and the worst part… it didn’t taste good. I ordered a breakfast platter; they were stingy on the potatoes and my veggie omelette was extremely bland. There was also nothing special about the half waffle I got. I’m from LA and we’re used to steeper prices, so if the quality of the food was on par, I definitely would not complain. We had 5 people total, and no one particularly enjoyed their food. Someone in our group ordered a pastrami sandwich, and there was hardly any meat in it. He complained to the waitress, who came back later offering to give him more meat on the side(very sweet of her) but he had already finished his sandwich. With that said, the blueberry smoothie I ordered was delicious and the service was great, which is why this place gets 3 stars instead of 2. They also made us an extra latte, because they thought my boyfriend didn’t like his apple latte(he barely drank it). Like I said, I would rate this place higher if I could but the food wasn’t good at all and so, can’t give this place 4 stars. This place has a lot of potential and I don’t know if it’s because we just happened to order the wrong things but if the quality of the brunch /lunch items improved, this place would be perfect!

Great community location! The first thing I noticed about this place is that they knew their customers names and say hi to them by name. I had the eggs special with bacon. Tasted pretty good. Also had the apple/honey hot tea. That was the best tea I’ve ever had. The only complaint is that the place is small and since it’s so popular sometimes it takes him longer to cook the food. But it’s good!

A nice spot for a quick and decently healthy bite but I really find it hard to believe this place is rated five stars. This goes to show how few the breakfast and brunch options are in the Kentlands. I ordered the omelette with fruit on the side. Some breakfast combo. I think the total price came out to $ 14 without tip. Could not understand how the food justified the price. They really tout the fact that they use organic and farm fresh ingredients, but the presentation and food was lackluster and unimaginative. Not to be a hater but my money would be better spent going to First Watch about five minutes away. I appreciate the follow-up from ownership after my review was posted. Fairly certain what I ordered was the brunch platter. Again, as I indicated in my review, there was no mistake to what I ordered. Just felt the food was lackluster and did not feel the price was justified.

Cute, cozy, country ocean feel with delicious sandwiches and homemade fruit drinks. The cucumber salad was surprisingly tasty and sweet — a definite recommendation.

Very nice and cozy place to eat. It has that«feel at home» kind of ambiance. Customer service is awesome. Again, you really get that feeling that you are a guest more than just a customer. We come here for brunch often and it has always been a good experience. Their food is VERYGOOD. I would not go as far as exceptional, but it is really very good. The ice cream on waffles does the trick for a nice warm afternoon. They are an awesome place for brunch with their selection of breakfast classics and deli sandwiches. On a dreary day, a nice place to sit and have some coffee. In every way, you’ll leave this place with a smile.

Have you ever go to one of your favorite aunt house and eat? That is how I feel about this small mom and pop café. Yes the price is a bit high for some items. However, the quality of the food and coffee is out standing. The customer service is amazing. My girlfriend who is usually very strict with tip and yet she left a $ 5 tip of a $ 20 bill. The older lady is so friendly, I feel like she could be my favorite aunt. Overall, this shop is doing everything right in my book. Coffee — good Food — good Service — good Setting — cozy

This is a good place to go on a double date when your friend’s girlfriend is coming from out of town and she picks the place even though she has never been to Gaithersburg before but how on earth does she know about this quaint little café on Main Street USA well I don’t know but this double date was last year when I had that girlfriend but nowadays I prefer making five egg omelettes with cheese and turkey at my friend’s place because it’s tastier and less formal and I don’t have to be restricted to sitting in a chair in a cramped restaurant like ya know sometimes I just want to take my socks off but as for the restaurant experience: It was meh. Oh I mean I really enjoyed the company. We should have done this more often! People I really care about. Face to face. Who would have thought I would have dated my friend’s friend? The food was average. It was one of those $ 8 – 15 entrée brunch spots with $ 4 blueberry lattes. Pancakes were alright. Potatoes and fruit were meh. I have no idea why people love these restaurants where they give you an avocado and it’s like all of a sudden all the basic chicks get super excited over some avocado slices on the same plate as an egg over easy with a hint of salt, pepper, and oregano, placed on a little toasted whole wheat piece of bread. They wanted me to pay for everyone as the eldest member at the table gh, I think it came out to around $ 75 ish. Uh, y’all see I’m in the street strugglin Young dumb and thuggin, give a FUCK about nuttin Stuck at rock bottom, tryin to come up on somethin Pumpin from sundown to sun-up, we hustlin Lately I have been hustlin at work and my wallet is fat like a 2 outta 10 so I’d be down to try another overhyped brunch place. Maybe First Watch

OFCOURSE, I discover this place AFTER I move out of Gaithersburg. From the moment, I walked in, I felt cozy and welcome. There’s such nice homey furniture in there, and of course, the aroma of fresh coffee brewing doesn’t hurt! Also, the husband and wife couple that runs Gazebo Café are the sweetest people, and I wish they could be my parents, like for reals. But enough idle chat! Let’s talk about food. I went with 2 vegetarians, so from their perspective, it was a very vegetarian friendly menu! And for meat lovers like me, never fear, there are plenty of non-veggie dishes to satisfy your palate. I had a breakfast combo with the most perfectly cooked egg and delicious breakfast potatoes, but what really took this meal over the top for me was the blueberry latte made with FRESH fruit! It’s so rare to find drinks that aren’t smoothies or juices being flavored with actual whole fruit and not just artificial syrups. Just for the latte alone, this place would have received a 5. The cute people and setting just take it over the top :)

Is it crazy to buy a house in Kentlands so that I can walk to Gazebo Café every day for my morning coffee? I am all for trying new places, but I loved Gazebo Café so much that if I lived anywhere nearby, it would no doubt be my go-to brunch spot every weekend. We walked into the charming space and were greeted warmly by a server. She seemed to be the only person working the whole restaurant but was calm, collected, and you could tell she put the customers’ happiness first. I was struck by the quaint décor and felt a pang of jealousy(I know I’m crazy) when she greeted the regulars by their names, like they were old friends. I want to be friends too!!! We started with a blueberry latte. We got it with skim milk but they also have it with almond or soy milk for a small upcharge. They make the blueberry purée in house, with fresh blueberries! What?! They had so many other drinks I wanted to try, including a chai tea latte, which I’ll bet is made with actual chai tea, and not a mix like many other establishments. For our entrée, we shared the monster kimchi omelette with beef for $ 20. Yes, that sounds like a lot of $$$ but honestly this could feed 2 people. It also comes with a steaming bowl of rice, which brought me a lot of happiness. A small side of salad greens accompanied the omelette, which I usually kind of ignore and push to one side of the plate, but these were delicious! Not sure what the dressing was, but it tasted so fresh and flavorful. When we ordered the omelette we also informed our waitress that we would be getting a waffle with ice cream for dessert. She timed it perfectly so that the waffle came out just as I was eating my last bite of omelette. We opted for the plain waffle with strawberries, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and a dusting of powdered sugar. The ice cream was out of this world. Very creamy. The whole thing was gone in about 4 minutes. Our waitress chuckled when she saw how quickly we devoured it, but not in a judgmental or condescending way. Having read all the Unilocal reviews, we knew we couldn’t leave without at least asking if there were any veggie dumplings left. Of course there were not. All sold out by 11am! Next time we’ll try to get there just as they’re opening.

This place is seriously a «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» for me. It is a neighborhood gem that I wish I had visited loonnngg before this past Sunday. Tucked in the small shops of Kentlands, lies the best mom&pop shop ever. The place is small, and they cook everything right up in the middle. They seriously only do have 2 burners, so I’m so amazed at how quickly they can cook everything. Even though they were so busy, the servers would still come by the table to check on us and to let us know when our food was on the way. And the food! The food was so good! Between the BF and I, we ordered the kimchi fried rice, the kimchi omlette, and the blueberry waffle. The waffle was cooked to perfection! It was so airy and light and I couldn’t have enough! The older couple next to us watched in marvel as I ate not only«my» omlette, but picked food off of the BF’s kimchi fried rice and the blueberry waffle in astonishing record time. As other Unilocalers have mentioned, it is pricier, but the quality of food and service for a small business like this cannot be beat! This place has just been bumped up to the top brunch/lunch place for me in Gaithersburg!

The first time I came here I literally loved everything from the looks of it! The set-up and colors and everything — it’s so cute and vintage! And then the food and drinks were just as great, the waffles are amazing and huge! They have homemade sauces. As well as their drinks, their teas are homemade & some coffees are specialized flavors. I recommend their homefries! I totally recommend this place! It’s definitely a hole-in-wall, very hidden place but it’s worth it! It’s also Korean owned, therefore there’s some Korean foods.

KUDOSTOTHEWONDERMENDOUSHANNAH H. FORFINDINGONEOFTHEBESTKEPTSECRETSOFGAITHERSBURG! I decided to take the hike(45 min away) to spend some quality time with some of my Unilocal family and I so glad I did! This homey feel place is nestled on the quiet part of Main St. and when I walked up I knew I was in for a treat! I was greeted by all smiling warm faces and immediately seated at our table. There is very few seats available so I suggest you arrive as early as possible(no worries it’ll be worth it). Also, note that the early bird gets the worm! No, not the«actual worm» silly rabbit I mean they have special dishes i.e. dumplings that there regulars know about and they sell out like hot cakes! So get there early! If you are look for super fast service. This is not the place for you! If you are looking for a place that makes you feel like your waitress is not your waitress but instead your G’ma who cooks whatever you want off of the menu, brings you any kind of tea from Pomegranate, Orange, Green and others alike, be it warm or cold, it’s up to you. Coffee from straight black to Caramel Machiatto, Blueberry, etc. Cook you up fabulous dishes such as Kimchi Fried Rice, Kimichi or Veggie Omelet, Ham and Swiss on a Croissant, BLT with special papaya mayo, Pastrami Sandwich, Pancakes, Bacon, Eggs, Waffles and much more oh and let’s not forget the refreshing cucumber salad or avocado OR fresh fruit that is served with your dish ALLWHILETHEYREMEMBERYOURNAME! Yyyeeesss, this was a great place! This is the place for you! They have a small family staff, your food is cooked to order. Prepare yourself to wait a while for your food but know that is very much worth the wait. Besides they will come around and check on you while you wait and offer you other things such as muffins, tea, coffee to keep you content until your food arrives. Parking is located behind the café’ and on the«main street» AAAaannndd they have a dry cleaning business located in the back of the café’! Yep, you read that right! Get that shirt ironed and button fixed on that shirt while you enjoy your food!

Every so often, it pays to take a chance when it comes to discovering something new and out-of-the-way for breakfast. After all, life gets pretty monotonous if you stick to the same routine day after day. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to check out Gazebo Café in charming«Main Street» Gaithersburg with Hannah H. and some other awesome Unilocalers for a Korean-American breakfast feast! Be forewarned that parking is on-street/parallel-only for the most part, and that the seating space inside the café is extremely limited, so I’d recommend visiting earlier in the day if coming by on a weekend. The kitchen is tiny, as it’s rally just Ms. Ji and her husband doing all of the work, plus a sister and one other employee helping out. However, one thing is for sure: what Gazebo lacks in terms of space, they MORE than make up for in terms of personalized, homelike, and genuine hospitality. When Ms. Ji takes your order, she writes your name down on the ticket, so that whenever something is brought to the table, you’re addressed by name. She also goes to great lengths to ensure you’re satisfied with your meal and is very genuine about it! I would absolutely recommend to all of my tea and coffee drinkers out there to order either their Pomegranate Tea or the Blueberry Latte. For the latte, you can select almond milk or soy milk for a small upcharge. Their Blueberry Latte(the blueberry infusion is made in-house) was by far one of the top 5 coffee drinks I have enjoyed in my caffeine-fueled adult life! In terms of food, Gazebo has a broad spectrum menu that spans some breakfast favorites such as waffles, omelettes, breakfast sandiwches, etc., but also bridges the breakfast-to-lunch gap with BLTs, ALTs(avocado), and pastrami sandwiches. If you’re feeling like you’d rather go the Korean route for breakfast, I HIGHLY recommend the Kimchi Fried Rice, with a spinach omelette and sliced avocado, which is also served with a sliced cucumber salad and some fresh fruit, for only $ 16, and will easily full the tummy of even the hungriest eater! Ask for a side of the special Korean red chili sauce if the kimchi isn’t spicy enough for you(it wasn’t too hot; Ms. Ji said that they don’t make their kimchi to be particularly sour or spicy). Food is sustainably-sourced and organic and/or local in many cases! By the way, there’s a dry cleaning business in the back of Gazebo, just in case you need to get your pants pressed while you eat an amazing meal! :) This place is totally worth the trip. You’ll leave happy from the great food and incredible homelike service!

Dry cleaning and brunch. all in one place… All I have to say about the Gazebo Café is believe the hype. It’s small and quaint, everything is decorated with outdoor lights and furniture and their kitchen is right behind the counter ANDBYKITCHEN I MEANONEPORTABLEGASSTOVE. Seriously, once you have a omelette from this place, you’re gonna feel pretty bad about having four burners at home and not being able to cook anything close to this. For such a small place(i think i counted like six tables) with the whole one gas burner kitchen, you would think the menu would be limited. NOPE. We were given a breakfast/brunch menu, and a separate Korean brunch menu that were a few pages. Their board has numerous latte/coffee offering as well. They also have a few gluten free items. Here’s the thing I walked in thinking I wanted a blueberry waffle($ 9) and a blueberry latte, I was gonna go full Violet Beauregarde on this place. And I did order that and it was delicious. The waffle was light, HUGE in portion, served with whip cream and I could taste the blueberry purée in it. The same blueberry purée was also in my latte. I loved it but… My boyfriend ordered a Kim Chi Omelette. Once you go Kim Chi Omelette with beef you never go back. The kim chi blended in was so FRESH! I kept trading pieces of waffle for more of that omelette. I believe I ate 75% of his meal. I’ll admit it’s pricey($ 20) but it comes with a side salad and a bowl of rice. Although some people note in their reviews this place is pricey, but you have to consider the size of this Mom and Pop business and the overhead they pay, also WHEREELSEAREYOUGONNAGET A KIMCHIOMELETTE? The menu has so many novel things. The staff is very sweet here as well. I can’t vouch for their dry cleaning services, although I believe their past businesses have been dry cleaning businesses so they have that dry cleaning game on lock too. If I’m in the mood to have cozy brunch or lunch with some great espresso drinks, I’m coming here again and again.

This little homey café is the best in the area in the heart of Kentlands. And I sat heart because that’s how I feel about it, I Heart Gazebo! They’re basically a mom and pops that serves coffee, breakfast, lunch, and now dinner! I’m proud to say that they are truly genuine folks who care about your business. You don’t see that these days where they actually talk to you, remember your name and make you feel like you’re friends rather than paying customers! Now the food is great and super fresh! I’ve talked to the Ji(I think I might misspelled her name) and she tells me that the owner goes grocery shopping every night to get the best and freshest ingredients. Sure tastes that way! You gotta give them credit as a small business owner that they work hard and really care about their customers. She even takes the time to remember our names after a few visits. Take note big chains! All the breakfast items are delicious such as the omelets and waffles. I am addicted to their Gazebo Club sandwich and Italian Chicken sandwich that I haven’t tried anything else. Delicious! They also serve some Korean food like bibimbap and dumplings to name a few. Coffee is awesome as well and I’d rather give them some money than the evil empire of Starbucks(although I still love you). The Good: — Gazebo Club — omelets — Italian chicken sub — Coffee — Friendly service — now serving dinner! The Bad: — closed on Wednesdays but I think that changed — can be a bit greasy and stick to your clothes but I like the greasy smell The Ugly — you! If you don’t come here and show these people some love!

This a quaint little café with traditional breakfast dishes and sandwiches. A bonus is that they also have a few Korean dishes that do not disappoint. The owners and wait staff are all Korean but speak English very well. Their pumpkin latte is the best ever! Their vegetable dumplings are freshly made daily. I would love to try their kimchee dumplings but their always out. Their kimchee fried rice was exactly what I was hoping for with a thin omelet on top. My coworker had a Reuben sandwich and it was prefect and served with a small cucumber salad. My husband on another occasion had scrambled eggs with rice and bulgogi(marinated beef). The dish reminded us of Hawaii. A perfect fusion Western/Eastern dish. As others mentioned you do get the«Gilmore Girls» feel which is awesome! What a great neighborhood restaurant. Great food, coffee, tea and a splash of Korean cuisine without feeling too foreign. I love it!

What a cute little place. Had to finally check this place out. It’s great they are slowly introducing more Korean food options. It’s the only place I know that has a dish comprised of bulgogi, eggs, and if they served rice, it would have been a home run imo. Have to try their version of bibambap next time I’m here. Their coffees are better than Starbucks as my wife indicated. It does take some time to get your food, so don’t come here if you are in a rush. Their dumplings are homemade and too bad they didn’t have any kimchi dumplings! Their veggie mandu was fine though. It’s a bit pricey for lunch, then again we did order an appetizer, coffee, soda and 2 entrees. Will have to come back and try their sandwiches and bibambap next time I’m here. Good breakfast/lunch spot in the Kentlands.

I LOVELOVELOVE this place. I think the owners made a mistake by naming this place«Gazebo café» because I never expected this place to be such a cute adorable café. It reminded me of super popular brunch cafes in NYC(ex. Penelope, Sarabeth’s, etc). I want to thank my dear Hannah H AGAIN for introducing us to this little gem. I can’t emphasize enough how much I love this place. I rarely like brunch cafes because I feel that in most cases the food is mediocre and overpriced. If it is just some fried eggs with sausage, why would I pay you $ 15 – 20? Gazebo café is not just a brunch café, but they are special because they offer some incredibly delicious food, and I would return for lunch, dinner, or brunch!!! We ordered a bunch of things on the menu, and everything was amazing. I was also happy that the owner is Korean, and he had some fusion Korean food options on the menu. 1) Blueberry latte was made with fresh blueberries, and it was the best latte I had in a long time.(Apparently the chef has barista experiences???) It was rich, foamy and so delicious. I could go back every day just for the coffee 2) Stylish Gazebo BLT — I usually don’t like BLT, but this one was my favorite. They use organic veggies, and vegan mango dressing is so yummy. Don’t forget to add a fried egg, that makes a world of difference!!! 3) Bibimbob platter(look at their mini Brunch special menu). We got one with sauteed beef scallion. I am usually not a fan of fusion Korean food, but I really enjoyed this. The rice was perfectly cooked, and seasoned so well with just the right amount of spice, so I thought anyone could really enjoy this dish. I do wish that the bulgogi sauce for the meat was a tiny bit sweeter. I loved the texture of the beef as it was very thinly sliced and tender. The platter would also taste really good with a fried egg on top and maybe next time I will ask for it. 4) Curry rice platter– very Asian style curry, so don’t expect authentic Indian curry. 5) Fried Korean style mandu-dumpling with Kimchi pajeon-pancakes. I love fried flat Korean mandu, but ask them to make it extra crispy! Very mild healthy tasting pajeon 6) Updated hot gazebo club — made with hot oven roasted turkey and roast beef. Beef was super tender and the whole sandwich was yummy, and I can’t decide whether I liked BLT or this one better. Bottom line: try them both 7) Blueberry waffle platter with potatoes and scrambled egg — unfortunately I was too full to eat at this point, so I only had one tiny bite of the waffle. I will go back to try it out again. I am super excited to have this place in town, and I can’t wait to go back here repeatedly. Note 1: The owners are super friendly, but there is only one cook in a tiny kitchen, so be patient for maybe slightly slower service. Your food will come out, so relax and order a delicious latte and enjoy the café. The food will be very satisfying. Note 2: As odd as it sounds, they also operate a dry cleaner in the back of the restaurant. They said originally the dry cleaning business was bigger, but then the restaurant took over… lol

Quaint little café on the quieter side of the Kentland shopping area. I would like to say cozy, but cramped is a better word. It can possibly fit 20 people on the inside and 2, 2person tables are set up outside. I could see it being real nice when it’s your small group and maybe a second small group. The drinks are fantastic. On one occasion I had a doppio espresso over ice, my other usual besides a black iced coffee. It was a strong bold espresso. I enjoyed it. Its not the best I’ve had, but on the better side. I also had their honey ginger iced tea. Amazing. Real slices of ginger at the bottom! Drank and ate all of it. Fantastic. My wife had a iced hazelnut latte. She said she’d go back for it. We would definitely come back for the drinks. Food… Don’t get me wrong, its good! It was actually very good. But… I just don’t think its 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks for $ 30 good… I wouldn’t come back for the overpriced food. I could make what they made for a third of the price. I don’t think a croissant breakfast sandwich with no side is $ 11. I don’t think my corn beef sandwich is $ 12, came with a side of cucumber salad the size of a wasabi plate. Overall, pleased with the experience. We would definitely go back for drinks to go while we walk around the area.
