I had a chicken dish with a creamy pepper sauce. It was okay, nothing special. The service was very slow, even though there were only a few other tables with customers. Julisa’s is okay, but there many better options in Kentlands.

Julisa’s is a little Peruvian café located in the planned community of Kentlands. Indoor or outdoor seating is available so when we went, we chose to sit outside and enjoy the evening. Yes, there are a few cars that will pass by, but otherwise it’s a nice quiet spot to sit. Having only ordered pollo a la brasa at a Peruvian restaurant, I opted for something else. In fact I don’t think they had that on the menu. I did like that they offered pictures to go with many of the entrees. This helps for the dolts like me who like to see what they’re ordering before it comes. I had the estofado de res(beef stew with potatoes, carrots, and peas). I was satisfied with the meal but not totally blown away. There were only a few other customers, but the service seemed to take a while… Still, the hostess/waitress(there was only 1) seemed super busy and had to work the tables in and outside the café. If you’re going to a movie after dinner, you might want to give yourself a little extra time if you eat here.
