I have a Toro Super Recycler lawn mower model 20 095 that I bought in May 2010. I wanted to buy the mower here, but they didn’t have this model in stock and it would take about a couple weeks to get it. I was desperate; so, I had to buy it from a dealer that had it in stock. The larger home improvement stores don’t carry the SUPER recycle Toros.
The self-​propelled feature stopped working in 2014. I didn’t want to do business with my previous shop, so I chose Lawn & Power Equipment in Gaithersburg. I picked this shop because Toro has designated this shop as a «Master Service Dealer.»
Before starting the repair, the shop phoned me to inform me of the repair cost. They wanted a $ 100 down payment to start the repair, and I was okay with that since I had never done business with them before; I also had them do the annual service this time. They did a great job on the repair. This service took place last year; I wanted to use the lawn mower awhile before writing a review, to make sure the repair was a good job, and it was a good job.
My only complaint is that the enormous price for pick-​up and delivery: it was $ 59.95 round trip. I don’t have another way to get this heavy lawn mower to the shop, and I don’t want to ask anyone to lift it into my car trunk. I wanted a very qualified shop to work on my lawn mower; so, I had to pay the price.
I saw some wonderful ratings for this shop on another review website, and the ratings were right – I found this shop to be a good one, at least at the Gaithersburg, MD location; I’m not familiar with their other location.
I do the annual service on my lawn mower myself, such as oil change and replacing spark plug, air filter, and blade, and cleaning the underside. However, repairs I can’t do; I need a shop to do them.
If I need a lawn mower shop again, I will use this one.
