Love Sushi

I’ve been to Love Sushi more times than I can count. I’ve tried so many sushi places in the county and I keep coming back to this one. The sushi is so fresh and they have so many creative rolls. Service is consistently good and it’s actually a really nice to have a quiet meal. The restaurant is really nice inside and is good for either lunch or dinner. The lunch deals are so cheap. I get takeout a lot but I also love that they deliver! My favorites are the spicy tuna roll, shrimp and avocado roll, Philadelphia roll, craze roll, happy family roll, and the volcano roll. I’m going to keep going back here for lunch, dinner, take out, and I’ll keep calling for delivery!

So many choices of sushi and rolls! Small places but it is really nice to hang out. I would go there over again and again!

Went to Love Sushi today for the first time for lunch and I loved it. My friend and I got the lunch special sushi rolls. They have two rolls for $ 6.95 which is a great deal.
I got the an eel and avocado roll and a sweet potato crispy roll. My friend got a California roll and shrimp tempura roll. Everything tasted great and was super cheap! I will definitely be coming back here for sushi again.

Its hard to believe how such great service and great sushi is located so far from the metropolitan area. Perhaps this is temporary but until then I recommend stopping in and eating at Love Sushi if you are in the area. They are very accommodating with gluten-​free options and the sushi is as fresh and very well prepared as anywhere in the region.

We love this place! Fresh sushi with excellent taste. The owners and waitstaff are beyond friendly. This is always our go-​to place for take out. While I waited today, they brought me miso soup and tea on the house. The wait was so quick, I didn’t have a chance to finish, but it was the best treat on a rainy Monday night. Love Sushi will always be the first place we go for good sushi in this area!

The best Sushi place in town. Wonderful and attentive service along with excellent presentation. We have visited the restaurant multiple times, and probably will never go to another sushi restaurant.
Get their Crush on You, it is absolutely delicious. Their fish and other seafood are extremely fresh! This place is underrated!

If you give me an imitation crab on top of rice and call it sushi… you have a problem. I ordered the sushi and sashimi combo, this is the crap I got. This place left me speechless. This place basically took a big fat dump on the omakase concept.
Please do not ever serve imitation crab on top of sushi rice. The rice was wasted. Imitation crab only belongs on a California roll.

The place just isn’t all that pretty to look at. They usually have something creepy playing on the TVs that take away from the experience slightly.

I do not frequently eat sushi, and my wife is not a fan. That being said, I get it when I am able to & in the mood. I discovered this place by accident, using the Unilocal app.
The strip mall needs some work, and the restaurant itself needs some paint. It does not smell like a restaurant that serves fish. It doesn’t smell like anything — so I know they clean. It also looks clean.
Their service is perfect. They were not intrusive, and were polite and pleasant. I didn’t have one server — the staff worked well together.
I ordered the lunch special 3 rolls and soup. It wasn’t displayed with a lot of flare or fashion. It was delicious. Since I usually get the same thing — and I am slowly becoming sushi adventurous — my meal was excellent.
Their menu does not include much that is not fish related. I plan on coming here again. It was well done.

They do awesome lunch specials. They do two rolls for about $ 7 and three rolls for about $ 10. They also have $ 10 lunch bento boxes that include salad, rice, 3 pieces of sushi and choice of protein. I get spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura– add avocado. I get the occasional crab meat wonton appetizer which is always crunchy and fresh. Honestly nothing special though. You can find much better sushi in the area.

Whenever I’m in the area, I always come to Love Sushi for their lunch specials which feature 2 – 3 kinds of rolls or bento boxes for under $ 10. During lunch hours, parking can be hard to find but I guess we got lucky today. Since we were tight on time, we figured that their lunch specials should not take awhile to prepare. I ordered the three roll combination but didn’t upgrade $ 1 for miso soup and house salad. Out of wide selection, I picked Eel Cucumber Roll, Sweet Potato Tempura Roll, and Yellowtail Roll. I liked how both of the first two rolls were drizzled with eel sauce. The yellowtail was very fresh. My mom ordered a Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box which came with a house salad, 3 piece California roll, chicken teriyaki, and white rice. The house salad consisted of fresh iceberg lettuce and ginger dressing. The California roll consisted of avocado and crabmeat salad rolled in seaweed, sticky rice, and sesame seeds. The Chicken Teriyaki was a bit on the dry side. This place specializes in sashimi, sushi, and rolls, and that’s what you should get when you come here!

Don’t let the small strip mall setting fool you. To quote my girlfriend «this place is legit».
I usually categorize and rate sushi places by three things: their miso soup, their ginger dressing and the strength of their wasabi. Needless to say all three were amazing.
I had an eel and shrimp tempura special role which was perfectly done. The eel was soft, warm and tasty and the avocado and shrimp tempura were great compliments.
We also received many free chef creations like the beautiful mussels and a banana and caramel tempura dessert.
You will be very happy you came here. I know we were!

This is my go to sushi spot. It is 5 minutes from where I live, and where I work, so it has become the quick option for ordering out or dining in. I am not a huge fan of their special rolls, but their basic maki selection is fabulous. The staff is really nice and super accommodating. Plus, who doesn’t love free banana and honey tempura???

This might just be my new go-​to for sushi lunches. I’m a long-​time fan of Yoyogi, but this place has expanded lunch special options (particularly on the maki rolls) as well as a larger menu in general. Besides the noodles and bento boxes, my favorite lunch specials are the sushi rolls. You get to pick from a good variety of rolls, either 2 for $ 6.95 or 3 for $ 9.95. We got a 3-​roll special with tuna avocado/​salmon avocado/​Philly, and all came with plenty of fish. We also ordered the sashimi lunch (6 pieces white tuna/​salmon/​red snapperand 6 pieces California roll), which was good, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the white tuna as sashimi.
The dinner menu also looked great — 20 pieces of sashimi for $ 24.95 seems like a solid option. I would come back here for dinner, although it would definitely be a casual not-​fancy dinner since the interior is decorated like any standard Chinese restaurant.
The only downside compared to Yoyogi (or upside for some) is the full waiter service. I think it’s universally true that full waiter service is slower than ordering/​paying at the counter first, especially during a busy lunch hour.

Fast and courteous service. I was there for lunch on 06÷14÷15 and for dinner a few weeks before. Both times I was impressed with the quality of food and service.
I think their sushi stands the taste test for a quality local favorite sushi spot. I ordered 3 rolls (18 pieces) and got in 7 minutes for lunch. Now that’s quality Sushi at prime lunch time.

After suppressing my white tuna craving for so long, I finally caved and looked around for a sushi place that was open on Tuesday that was near me (WHY ARE THEY CLOSED ON TUESDAYS :(). This happened to be one.
I’ve ordered from them a few times, mainly because their lunch special is such a good deal– $ 10 for 3 rolls. I also order the sashimi lunch special (also ~$ 10) with consists of 6 pieces of sashimi (white tuna, red snapper and salmon) and 6piece cali roll. So filling. My favorite mix and match rolls include the spicy tuna roll, spicy white tuna roll (but one time this one tasted a little fishy), and the salmon skin roll. So yummy!
I love that the don’t use rice as a filler, only a thin layer of rice on the outside of the rolls, more filling than rice which I always love because I don’t really eat rice (what a fail asian).
Highly recommend. They’re not a super fancy sushi place but for a simple sushi craving for cheap, I would highly recommend this place!

Came here for lunch while visiting a friend the other day. They have a lunch special on sushi — any two rolls for $ 7 or 3 rolls for $ 10 — which is very nice. The choices are most of the basic rolls, I chose two, the eel and avocado and tuna and avocado (I think it was called Vegas roll??) And my third I ordered seperately because it was not included in the lunch special and that was the spicy scallop roll.
All of the rolls were fantastic. The tuna was fresh and delicious and there was a nice sized portion. The eel was sweet and tasty and the scallop roll, oh man, so delicious.
For $ 12 I left more than satisfied and my only complaint is I wish this place were closer to me (Baltimore) ’cause I’d frequent often for sure.

Great place for sushi… why did it take me so long to find this place?
Our usual «go-​to» Sushi joint is closed on Tuesday nights, so we gave Love Sushi a try. I was impressed. Rolls were fresh and delicious with good portions of fish. Sashimi appetizer also had nice thick portions. Shrimp tempura appetizer was also very good — with larger shrimps than I usually find. Service was great. We were treated to a bowl of edamame on the house, plus an extra bowl of miso soup. Cost was reasonable for sushi prices in the area. Very enjoyable — no question I will be back!

I STILL AM IN LOVE WITH LOVE SUSHI!
Went here today for Valentine’s day! The staff was so delightful! We ordered the Boston Roll, Spicy Crunchy California Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Shrimp Tempura Roll! The rolls were about $ 4.50/roll outside of happy hour, which isn’t bad at all! Absolutelyyyy delicious especially the shrimp tempura and boston roll. I never really stray from these two rolls. nom nom nom.
The establishment was well decorated with balloons, roses, and candles! It was so cute! They even let you take the rose from your table home, but I left it. It would have died if I took it home (haha).
We even got miso soup as an appetizer and banana tempura dessert on the house. Miso soup is your ordinary miso soup from any restaurant, but yummy as a starter. I felt so special today with all the freebies!
Such an awesome place and it’s hard for me to go anywhere else for sushi! I just love it here!

In my opinion, this is the best sushi in Gaithersburg. I’ve come here so many times and have yet to be disappointed. The sushi is always fresh and the staff are always attentive. Also on a couple of occasions, they gave our table a free dessert (banana tempura which is delicious).
The lunch special is a great deal (2 rolls for $ 6.95 or 3 for $ 9.95, and I think you can add a salad or soup for an extra $ 1 or $ 2). Also their lunch special runs for a long time so it’s’s hard to miss (11:30 am — 3:30 pm).
My favorite rolls to try here are the sweet potato tempura, philly roll w/​smoked salmon, and the eel and avocado. I tried the crab and cheese wontons once and wasn’t too impressed though.
