Motor Car Tag & Title

This is my new one stop shop when I am trying to avoid the lines at the MVA. I went in this morning and the gentleman that helped me was knowledgeable and courteous. I had to come back by later in the day because I was able to get my car inspected and was helped by yet another very nice person at the counter. This is the only title service place in the area I am going to recommend from now on.

This place is super super nice! I was a few minutes late after 1:00pm but I was in a very urgent situation. After I explained to the staff here, they helped me to register and gave me the tag. Just 5mins and I am good to go! Otherwise I would not have registered my car that fast and can not get on to the road.
The staff here are really friendly and helpful.
Plus I am a Terp and there’s also a Terp here!

GREAT!!! Forget the overpaid, lazy, try to figure out how to say no MVA employees. This is a private business so they do a great job with a smile. Well worth the few bucks you pay them. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes with a new title and tags… THEY EVEN PUT THE TAGS ON MY CAR! Has that EVER happened at the MVA?

These guys are the best, always polite answer all the questions I ask and know what they are doing, beats going to the mva any day. Sure you pay a little bit more but seriously not going to the mva is worth every single penny haha. I use them all the time when I buy a used car.

I highly recommend using the services of Motor Car Tag & Title. Going there probably saved me a couple of hours at the DMV and a lot of stress. I had to go in a couple of times, and each time someone was ready to help me right away. They made the process fast, easy and clear. The person I worked with even went above and beyond by standing in the rain to change my tags for me. I will be telling everyone I know about this place!

In reliance on the other reviews here, I went to Motor Car Tag & Title to register a new-​to-​me out-​of-​state used car. I was not disappointed. Evan greeted me at the door, took my paperwork, and processed it immediately. I was out the door in under ten minutes from arrival. He was courteous, amiable and thoroughly helpful with the process. Charges were fully explained. There is no reason to go to anyone else — these guys are the best.

I never write reviews but it was the least I could do after today. I just moved to the area (so I needed new tags and title) and was also in the process of transferring my car from my parent’s name to mine. I walked in a bit confused by the process, but they were so helpful and friendly. They walked me through everything and explained each step. I was given my MD plates at the end and had a «what do I do with these» expression on my face. One of the employees (so sorry I didn’t catch his name!) came out to my car and put them on for me!
All in all, it was a great experience and I definitely recommend Motor Car Tag & Title. The process was quick and easy and the employees were fantastic.

Great place for super quick service to get tags, title, all services other than drivers license. Well worth the small fee not to waste ypur day at MVA. Super friendly, helpful and even followedme out to put on my new tags.

WOW!!! The team at Motor Car Tag and Title are literally ROCK STARS!!! As an incoming resident to Maryland, I had a car registered in a different state and kept putting off the change in plates because I was dreading going to the MVA. If I knew that a service like this existed a year ago I would have changed the registration on my car much earlier. These guys were real pros and handled EVERYTHING — really cannot recommend them high enough. THANK YOU MCT&T!

I had a complicated title issue (out-​of-​state car sold for much less than book, by a family member) so I was worried about going to MVA and willing to pay for advice. Missing the line was great, too. They were hugely helpful, RAN me through it (I would have had my plates in 10 minutes total if I had my new insurance policy number), and very pleasant. We did everything we could, and I went to grab lunch at New Fortune (right underneath Motor Car Tag and Title), and came back when I received the insurance policy number, and was done in a jiffy. Saved me a bunch of time, moderate worry, possibly a few hundred dollars in sales tax – very much worth the reasonable fee. I’d use them again in a second for anything I couldn’t do on line (and actually they were faster than online even including driving time).

This place is a great life saver! When faced with the alternative of waiting at the MVA to get new tags, I saw earlier Unilocal reviews and went with Moto Car Tag and Title. They are a great small business that prides itself in customer satisfaction. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile. They thoroughly explained the process and I was relieved to find out a «runner» would do the leg work of going to the MVA while I could go on with the rest of my life and pick up the tags the next business day. I have to commend Paola Torres and Jeffry Durant who were so helpful and even gave me directions to my next errand. Being new to the state was definitely easier due to Tag and Tile. OH and as the icing on the cake, they removed my old tags and put the new MD ones on! Won’t hesitate to go back in the future!

I don’t know about their title and tag work but their used and refurbished computers (aka PC Retro sideline) are great! And they offered a friendly (no cost) warranty extension on a hard drive for one of the laptops I bought.

Todd explained everything to me very well. I gave him my documents, signed a few places, and paid what I needed to pay. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. And the next afternoon, Todd called me that my tags and title were ready. Love that level of efficiency and professionalism. And it saved me a several hour wait at the MVA.

I’m not usually a reviewer, especially for good service, but since Unilocal was the first impression I got of these guys in my Google search (in fact, the only way I even found their website) and the reviews so far aren’t that great, I figured I’d chime in.
I called around using the MVA Tag & Title directory and these guys were the only ones open after (during?) Hurricane Sandy. On the phone, they courteously gave me all the information I needed as well as a breakdown on pricing. When I arrived, they were a little busy (not even the MVA was open today!) but I was still greeted immediately upon entering the shop. It didn’t take very long to get me set up (while helping other customers) and begin the process of getting a title and tags. Very soon after another employee walked in, and before even putting his things away, greeted me and told his co-​worker he’d take over if he’d let him know where he left off.
It turned out that because the particular vehicle that I was titling had once been stolen and was still flagged, MD wouldn’t allow a third party agency to title the vehicle so I was going to have to go to the MVA. Even after they told me this (which was obviously disappointing to both of us), the gentleman still took the time to give me the forms I would need for the MVA and highlighted the parts I should fill out. He also gave me some other unrelated advice.
I’m not sure of the two guys names but they worked together flawlessly, and I heard the one employee tell his customer after they were done that they generally have two bilingual employees on staff as well but were short staffed because of the storm. I didn’t feel that I received anything short of excellent service but if that’s being ‘short staffed’, I can only imagine how much faster things go during a normal business day.
Overall, I feel that these guys genuinely care about their business and understand the importance of repeat business /​referrals. They conduct themselves in a manner that emphasizes this.
Oh, just a side note, although I was unable to complete the transaction I did see the itemized invoice that was prepared for me and it was exactly what I expected.

Fantastic. Really listened and helped me sort through a really complicated tag situation in record time. I’ve been recommending this place to everyone and anyone who’ll listen. Friendly, knowledgeable… Basically the opposite of the MVA in every way.

I called these guys after web searching and seeing they were reviewed on Unilocal.
Being a big Unilocaler myself, I thought I would comment.
Called today and spoke to Todd (I think that was his name).
he was very helpful.
Told me what to expect.
Their ervice fee $ 50, and MVA charges $ 20 if register online.
