We had a wonderful dining experience here! The food was excellent. We had 2 appetizers — pikilia and steamed mussels. Both were very generous helpings. The mussels were perfect! For main course we had gyros, falafel, shrimp souvlaki, veggie souvlaki sandwich, stuffed flounder, garlic shrimp, butternut raviolli and for dessert we had baklava, galactoboureko, chocolate mousse and apple crumble. The entrees were epic and the desserts were scrumptious. The desserts were all home made and just amazing! We ended up with greek coffee which I never had before and I am an instant addict! The service was excellent — the server was attentive and helpful. Also the owner came out to talk to us — she is a gem! Try this place — you’ll be glad you did!

The food was adequate and reasonably well prepared but lacked flavor and polish. The side salad, Greek style, was well made, but had too much iceberg lettuce. A Greek standard the Pastichio(layers of ground beef, penne pasta, and béchamel sauce) was too dense(it did not rise) and did not have enough béchamel sauce. The Greek style green beans did not have enough tomato sauce. There was just not enough attention to the details.

Great hospitality and service, and the owner was very nice! Most of the food was great. The Chicken souvlaki and gyro was too die for!

Once again a fantastic meal — you must start w: the butternut squash ravioli; tonight tried new menu item — meat pie in phyllo — flavors were fantastic. Clearly, 0ver the last 6 years, this is one of our favorite neighborhood destinations — owners are lovely!

Mythos is definitely a hidden gem in Gaithersburg. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful and high quality, you GETWHATYOUPAYFOR. No disappointments. My favorite is the Mythos burger: it’s a quarter pound hand crafted beef patty made in house with feta cheese, spinach and onions.

First time here The lamb shish kabob and souvlaki was a bit over cooked and not spiced enough but service was friendly and I will go back to check out some of three other tasty sounding dishes !

A very nice little Greek restaurant in Redland/Derwood/Gaithersburg. The food is cooked with a light hand. Our dishes were excellent(gyro/souflaki). The service was excellent as well.

One of my very favorite Greek places! They give big portions and it’s not too expensive. It’s very easy to dine at with lots of parking, no waits, excellent service and a nice atmosphere. When I’m feeling Greek this is where we go, I would recommend this to anyone who likes Mediterranean food. It’s honestly better than most Greek places in the Bethesda/Rockville area. I didn’t give it 5 stars because the spanakopita is good but not great, I have had better and the fries aren’t great and to me these are very important in a Greek restaurant. However since I’ve stopped ordering these I’ve been very pleased. Their Greek salad with chicken is the best and so is their pita and tzatziki! They also have delicious baklava and more.

First visit. Had the best damn gyro of my life. Will come back again for sure to investigate more of the menu. Nice atmosphere too.

Mostly frustrated by the vast gap between the price and the quality. The food wasn’t horrible. Everything was right at just barely ok level. Kind of bland, slightly soggy fries and spanakopita, under salted, a strongly sweet pasta sauce(not in a good way) among other things. All that combined with a strip mall location but a $ 90+ tab. I guess based on the price my expectation were much, much higher.

Wonderful atmosphere, amazing hospitality, … and the food! Started with the calamari and had the chicken with walnuts. Nothing overcooked(which is so often the case with calamari and chicken), everything very well seasoned! Tipped it off with the best baklava I’ve had in a very long time. We will definitely be back. Thank you, for a wonderful mealtime experience!

Ordered my usual the other day and was surprised & shocked!!! The rice tasted like it was made the night before and put in the fridge and reheated. If you are going to take the easy way out when it comes to rice it can only mean bad things. I don’t think I will be going back. =/

I’ve been here twice and I’ve enjoyed the food both times. There are a few vegetarian options worth trying. Tradition Mediterranean style dishes. I liked the pumpkin/squash ravioli, falafel sandwich, and fried artichoke hearts. My fried said the chicken sandwich was good too.

We love Greek restaurants and have been to Mythos three or so times so far. Good solid Greek food — everything made there on-site. Their Gyro meat is delightful and the servings are huge. I really like their mix of beers(they do offer Greek beers) and their menu is solid. Overall this is a fantastic place to bring the family and enjoy a wonderful meal. I have to start taking pictures of the food. It was well presented and they offer the big Maryland Greek thing(french fries). If you go to Cincinnati Ohio the big Greek thing is Chili(both Skyline and US Chili were started by Greek Immigrants)!

I came here for dinner with my parents on a Thursday evening. The atmosphere is simple and nice; it was not very crowded or loud. We were able to sit down right away and the waitress came over shortly thereafter. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer which was fairly good. It was a little thicker than most hummus but we were told it was homemade so we had to try it. For the entrée, I ordered the falafel platter. The potatoes were delicious. The falafels were ok; pretty mushy on the inside which was a little weird… I would probably try something else next time. The baklava for dessert was good though. I gave it 4 stars for the great service and besides the falafels, everything was enjoyable. No complaints.
