Panera Bread

Not very good, even for a Panera. Unfriendly staff, not very clean, they were «out of bread» when I was eating there and they gave me a glorified hot dog bun as a side bread. Most Paneras are decent to mediocre. This one was awful.

I ordered a Green Goddess Cobb salad with chicken for pick up. I was ready to eat my salad once I got home and there was no chicken! the lettuce had a brownish color to it. This is not the first time this happens… I’m dissapointed

I hate writing bad reviews but dont go here if youd like the correct order. I unfortunately live right here and adore panera. But ive been burned probably 6 times only to get home to realize that things are missing/​completely wrong. Some might say just check the bag which i do everytime now and still I always have to mention something. Its not a big deal but were only a household of 2 and when you order the same thing everytime its always disappointing when it’s not right. I also have a hunch that the foods just not as fresh here. Not a bad place to visit just added worries to lunch.

I work right down the road probably about 10 minutes or less. I know despite traffic it’s not fun, but its well worth it especially when you order online. I have short lunches, so the service of ordering ahead helps big time. The food was great as well still being warm by the time I picked up the food. Its very clean, I know when it’s super busy it’s hard to great customers but even a knob or acknowledgment would be nice. Aside from that i love the mac-​n-​cheese & pastries!

Will was super unfriendly. I said good morning to him twice once before ordering and another before walking away after placing my order and he said nothing. He didn’t smile and was just not who you want to deal with in the morning-​he didn’t smile or anything.
Kevin was friendly kind and smiled.
I ordered a dozen bagels and asked for them to either give me an extra bag or separate them Will did neither. I just feel like customer service goes a long way and I did not receive that this morning at Panera. The establishment was clean and they went pretty fast.

A fine Panera. Can’t really mess up an iced green tea.
I felt like the napkins/​straws station was far from the pickup counter and door.
The service was fine. Booths were filled. I do find the décor and furniture to be somewhat «cheap» and uncomfortable. I noticed that there were crumbs on many tables.

There’s enough items on Panera’s menu that I frequently return to this location despite not liking the traffic near the intersection.
The wait for food is less time than at many locations and the quality is just as high as I’ve come to expect.
My granddaughter at a younger age wanted to let them know how to make their PB&J sandwich better — I was impressed that the manager came over and spent a couple of minutes seriously listening to her.
I’m not in the area for breakfast, so I don’t know how good their coffee is … but having sampled quite a few of their pastries, I can vouch for their high quality and delicious taste. The breads are very good.
Their soups and sandwiches are very good. Sandwiches made to order — soups taste home made.
I’ve never been a fan of their station where you separate the dishes from the trash. I always feel like it’s too messy.
Parking at this location is easy to find.

I occasionally go to Panera since it is close to my house and it is pretty quick. I like their pastries and soups but not their food so much. I know this place does not specialize in their food menu compared to their pastries, I think they should work on it since they have a full menu for it.
I usually get the Chipotle chicken panini but now they don’t even have that anymore, which got me quite frustrated since other food they have do not taste very good. I also tried their pasta and was not very good. If you are looking for a meal, this place is not the place you are looking for. However, their soup is good, I usually get their broccoli cheddar.
Their dining area seems kind of crowded, too. I usually do not have a great experience dining in. I would recommend for take out of their pastries.

Your typical Panera location. I go to these all the time at home, and this location is about the same. Good soups, decent sandwiches and salads. The you pick two is the best deal, since you can mix any match of the items (prices may vary). Also have tried the pastas, which are pretty good but the portions are tiny so it’s not really worth it. At this location, you have to wait for them to call out a number on your receipt, which isn’t as good as the locations in NYC where they have a screen showing the status of everyone’s order you can track yours, but otherwise it’s fine.

I always hate coming here in the morning. I really try to avoid it. Customer service is repulsive. When I order — latte or a bagel or a sandwich. It is always a long wait.
I understand in the morning it is busy and everyone must be patient but 15 minutes overly generous for this so called fast food.
Even an employee noticed me waiting the whole time and didn’t even bother to ask what I had ordered to make sure my order was taken care of.
It’s really disappointing because other paneras are more courteous than this establishment.

Food quality is on point but when I place a pick up order and they tell me like 15min and I show up 20mins later giving a nice 5min window. Food still not ready. Do like the the rapid pick up cuz it’s ready. Only when I order online but not phone orders? Weird.

Absolutely NEVER again.
My husband picked up dinner this evening and when we opened everything up I was pretty disappointed. We ordered the Roasted Turkey Apple and Cheddar Sandwich, Steak and White Cheddar Panini, and the Chicken Cobb with Avocado Salad. I had the turkey sandwich and it was a complete mess. We realized that they had forgotten the dressing for the salad and my husband went back for it. I almost sent my sandwich back with him, but as a general rule we don’t have food remade and I hadn’t eaten all day so I opted to just reassemble the sandwich myself. Then, I was about to put the pickle in my mouth and the voices in my head said, «Lets take a look at this pickle first.» I was glad I did because with a quick glance I found a hair. On further inspection of the salad I saw that there were brown spots on many of the avocado pieces. The only thing that was ok was my husband’s panini though I think it’s pretty hard to mess up cheese, meat, and bread.
I turned a blind eye to other people’s reports of poor quality and lack of cleanliness at this restaurant in the past but not anymore. There are just too many Paneras in the vicinity to ever return to this one. I have attached pics so that the reader may be the judge as to whether I am overreacting due to my «hanger.»

The service is quick and the food is fresh and good as always. I love their chicken noodle soup.
I like the pastas but this branch doesn’t serve them anymore. I hope they start doing it again

its 7am and its a really nice place to come enjoy breakfast. i would of gave 5 stars but i didnt enjoy the coffee. breakfast was good i got the steak and egg sandwitch, i highly recomend it.

Extremely poor service this morning!
Place an «order to go» on the Panera iPhone app at 7:05 am, for pickup from this location at 7:45 am. Immediately received my confirmation e-​mail from «
» (a «very cordial» phrase), and then a text msg with the correct amount showed up from my bank — all is well.
Arrived at this location at 7:37 am and waited by the shelves where «order to go» bags are placed… as I watched one walk-​in customer after another pick up their orders and go on their way.
Finally, at 7:45 am I asked about my order and a young man said that «I’m working on it». I finally got my order at 7:53.
This isn’t the first time I have received very poor breakfast service at this location. Obviously this is yet another unsupervised rookie being «managed» by a rookie supervisor!
So, then I try to send a complaint using the same iPhone app that I ordered with … but I couldn’t because the app kept telling me «please enter valid characters» — which I had!!!
Extremely sorry performance by Panera, this morning! Conclusion — Avoid this location!

Great breakfast place! Good coffee ! A good way to start your morning !!!

I live nearby and My husband and I have «breakfast dates» on the weekends here. I always order the same thing, small coffee and sausage egg ciabatta. The dark roast coffee is D E L I C I O U S. I need to find out what brand they use so I can use it at home. The breakfast sandwich has never failed me. I always end up inhaling it but I blame how good it is!
Make sure you get extra napkins. in the morning the tables are always dirty. I never see a staff member cleaning them. I think it’s «all hands on deck» making the food and that’s why the tables aren’t cleaned. Not really worth taking a star away for that. Doesn’t take long to swipe the food aside.
Would I recommend? YES.

I work right down the road, and this shopping center is usually ALWAYS packed to the brim with people around lunch time. The Rapid Pickup online ordering is probably the most amazing invention in the WORLD. I can sit at my work computer… peruse the menu without worrying about taking too much time, and then hit submit and By the time I hop in my car and drive the .5 miles to Panera, it is hot and ready to go.
There is nothing better than skipping the crazy long line and wait area to grab my bag and be on my way! I can get back to work within 10 minutes and never lose a chunk of my day!

Can I give this place zero stars?
Would not come here anymore if I had a choice. On ¹²⁄₂₆ I come here and order a four cheese soufflé and a pumpkin muffie. The black chick who kinda looks like a dude tells me they’re all out of the four cheese and before I can tell her the other one I will have she just walks away… no excuse me or anything. She comes out with a soufflé from the back (which is nice she did that) BUT she comes out holding it on the palm of her hand… no gloves or tissue paper. GROSS. I’m in the Christmas spirit still and really don’t want to complain, especially since she just went back there to get one. Now she is getting me my pumpkin muffie and she picks it up with the tissue paper (whew!) but then places it on the counter to get a back with no barrier protecting my muffie from the counter. I ask for another one and she dares to ask why… umm because that is soooo unsanitary WTF?
The next day I go back for breakfast making sure I don’t have the same chick help me. As I am standing in line one of the guys in the back swipes one of the cashier’s (Edwin). The girls are laughing and Edwin says outloud «I’m going to kick his fuck! ng a$$» and laughs out loud. Word to the wise Edwin… that wasn’t cool or funny. On top of that the drink maker calls out my green teas and as I wave my hand to let him know I heard him… he places them down on his side of the counter and looks at me. Forcing me to excuse myself and reach over the cashier and customer as he is standing right there.
Panera Bread at Gaithersburg: What happened to hiring people with customer service skills? From now out I will be going to the Fallsgrove location where the staff are actually nice, friendly, and have customer service.

Can’t go too wrong with Panera for fast food that is actually food!
Love the chipotle chicken panini and I am ADDICTED to the vermont white cheddar mac and cheese. Its my vice, my one comfort food I can never give up. The chipotle chicken comes with BACON (ahem…guys) and its just… amazing. The mac and cheese is so consistently creamy and good and just… GOOD. Hot drinks are great and cold drinks are too.
Sad part… its always sooooo busy!!! The parking is infuriating. Difficult to find seating if I’m there with the wives for lunch. You have to hound the good booths!
