The pizza is so delish! Only had a problem with a male older manager when I told him the soda was out he said ok but didn’t change it. I waited patiently and when I asked him about my soda he ignored me by talking to another patron. I asked a another staff member about the soda and he went to the back and let me know they were waiting on some more. The staff are very helpful and friendly!

Food is great, I had &pizza for the first time at my Unilocal elite event last night. Just wish the service at this one was as good as the one in Germantown. Their location is a bit hard to find, being you enter crown and drive to the back parking lot of the shops to the left. Upon walking in, I was greeted about 30 seconds later by the manager. Told him my order for two pizzas to go; OG and Lori Lane. Taking the order, paying and waiting was fine. It barely took up 10 minutes of my time. my issue on this trip, although small, bothered me. One worker(she seemed new) asked if I’d like a bag as she saw me struggling to hold two boxes and a drink. instead of the manager speaking to me. I had to fish for the disappointing answer through their conversation. a foot away from me. From what I heard, you can’t get a bag unless you order 6 or more pizzas. Fine, that’d be fine. but then the manager turned to me and said«or you can buy a bag». I said«ah, okay. 5 cents right?(Moco bag tax)».he said«no. $ 1.50». my jaw nearly dropped. I asked what kind of bag would I be getting for a $ 1.50? «A big reusable bag»… umm… what? So… paper or plastic bag for $ 1.50? Nope. Sorry. :/

This is my first time going to this location. in the past I have visited the Germantown location and it is nice but this one is much nicer. All of the employees were so helpful and I had Manal make my pizza and it was delicious. Watch out pizza places, &Pizza is definitely taking over.

Most delicious pizza anywhere and creating your pizza exactly as you want it is amazing. The beverages are also delicious. & Pizza in Rockville has a sit large seating are. What I hate is how loud the music is. It is hard to talk when dining in. But it is 5 stars for the quality and variety. You have the choice of whole wheat crust or white crust. Everything is delicious at & Pizza.

I love &pizza! If you are looking for delicious pizza in the area, please do yourself a favor and check this place out! This particular location(Downtown Crown plaza) isn’t easy to spot especially if you’re not too familiar with the area. There’s limited street parking but there’s a public garage. I usually just park inside the garage and walk through it to get to &pizza right away. The place itself is not spacious at all so I don’t recommend the place for a large group setting. There’s one long community table in the center so it really depends on whether or not they are busy. They do have outside seating if it’s warm outside :) All the ingredients are FRESH and cooked to order. I usually just make my own pizza. You start with the dough(I choose ancient grains), choose your sauce(s), then you choose cheese, vegetables, protein. There’s no limit on the number of toppings you pick, so it’s AWESOME! Once it goes through the oven, you can then choose additional toppings to finish your pizza. Service is always friendly and top notch! I also recommend downloading the LevelUp App! It’s AWESOME! It’s an app where you can link your credit card and just simply pay by scanning your code. It keeps track of your transactions and once you reach a certain amount spent, you can earn $ 8 credit towards your next purchase. Other restaurants accept this payment method as well! Super easy and convenient :)

&Pizza thank you for existing! I love this place! I first visited &Pizza desperate to get my hands on vegan pizza! I saw on their menu they offer Daiya vegan cheese, vegan beef crumbles, and they clearly show that their sauces and crusts are vegan! &Pizza is basically the«Chipotle» of pizza: you build your own individual one-size pizza. I was confused about how it works my first visit but basically you walk in, hop in line, and you start out by letting them know what kind of crust you want. Then sauce, then cheese, then toppings. They bake your pizza and then you can add final toppings and sauces! They also have their own selection of soda’s and drinks. It all happens very quickly and efficiently, I’m amazed at how many pizzas they can churn out. The atmosphere is casual but at the same time very modern and cool. You want to stay in there and sit down to eat! It looks and feels very clean and they seem very careful about food handling(you can watch them prepare your pizza). They are really great to vegans! When I asked for vegan cheese and vegan beef crumbles one of the employees said they would start over for me since the gloves one of them was wearing had touched meat! I didn’t ask them to accommodate me that way at all but they did! :) They also shout out«vegan pizza» when a vegan pizza is going in the oven, I assume to let the employee’s know to watch what they touch or may accidentally drop onto a vegan pizza. They are so nice! I wish I could order giant pizza’s there but since the individual ones are so good its worth it to just get one or 2 to bring home! They offer so many veggies and finishers that you can make endlessly different combos of pizza! Their dough is perfectly crispy for flatbread, and their sauces and toppings are flavorful and very fresh. I think they recently added spiced chickpeas as a vegan topping(or I just didn’t notice it before!) so I will have to go back to try it!

The last time I was at &pizza(Springfield location), I had given the place 3 stars, so this is basically an updated review. Last time, the ordering process was pretty disorganized, pizzas mixed up, which distracted from the whole experience, but that was probably because I went when they first opened! This time around, I felt like I had a greater appreciation for the whole idea and the variety of flavors :) I went with a group of 12 people at noon on a Saturday, and luckily we could seat everyone together inside! It’s not very spacious once everyone has sat, since the line goes right next to the table, but still an enjoyable time! We had a Farmer’s Daughter, the Maverick, that mushroom pizza, and one we customized with pesto and meatballs… the pesto is a must-try! We ordered a bunch to share between everybody, or you can just order one for yourself if you’re especially hungry :) I like how it’s thin crust so you feel like you can eat more slices and savor more flavors without having to consume that extra dough. I saw some other people at our table customize their own completely without getting one of the specialties… gave me some ideas for the next time I come back :)

I’ve been to the &pizza location in Springfield, so I had high expectations for this location. First, I love the concept of a custom made fresh and fast pizza. They offer a huge range of options– the usual pizza toppings as well as some more unusual ones like tortilla strips and fig. The staff is very friendly and helpful with taking you through process. The final result actually comes very quickly. I had mine with a ton of meat, including pepperoni, sausage and bacon, and with some roasted red peppers and sun dried tomatoes, it made for a delicious meal. I’m very glad they opened a close location!

I had trouble figuring out where this was. I’m not unfamiliar with the area, but there’s been some serious development here. I suggest looking for Harris Teeter or Crown Park Avenue, which are part of the same development; these things showed up better on my phone whereas the actual &pizza address did not. That aside, I have now been to all the &pizza locations that are not in airport terminals, so I don’t have much to say. It’s delicious. I was mildly surprised by a couple of things with this location. For one thing, it was kind of crowded on a Sunday evening. Not enough to present an inconvenience; if anything a good sign for them. Also, at this location there wasn’t quite as much care as some of the best locations seem to put into keeping ingredients separate. A few shreds of cheese dropped in with the peppers and such. There weren’t any major mistakes or anything; &pizza has set its own bar for precision in the assembly line rather high. I went completely nuts with toppings, and even though I was slightly disappointed that their chickpea purée has been dropped, I never lack for veg-friendly choices. I went for basil and arugula(I usually pick one leafy finish), and they were quite generous with both. Between that and my other numerous vegetable choices(always including those delicious spicy chickpeas), it’s hard not to argue that I’m getting a reasonably healthy and rounded meal. And me not being hungry, I couldn’t finish this one on the spot, unusual for me. You’d be hard-pressed to spend a better $ 10 on food. Even though I’d sooner be at one of the DC locations, this area is lucky to have an &pizza.

Ah! Firstly, I love love love pizza. Let’s just get that straight, lol. When I found out there’s a place that you can create your own pizza masterpieces, I was sold! Almost like pizza and Chipotle had a baby! I love this place. Really convenient for me since I work nearby. You also have the option of picking one of the signature pizzas on the menu. Everything is fresh. The dough is made right in front of you. The toppings are all freshly chopped and displayed. Plus, the wait time for the pizza to cook isn’t very long at all. You’re in and out in a flash. Odd fact about me… I am really in love with the pizza boxes. They’re so cute! And practical too. I think that it’s super cute that each location has a different hat for their employees. Where can I get one?

This is one of my favorite fast casual places of all time. My mouth waters every time I think about this place. The people who work there are really friendly and the ingredients are unbelievably fresh. I love mixing different sauces with lots of the meats and cheeses. Fresh mozzarella is awesome! I usually finish my pizza off with red pepper oil and garlic oil and basil. I also love that you can reheat the leftovers and it doesn’t fall apart and get soggy like lot of leftover pizza. I did learn that there is such a thing as too many toppings though. I got extra cheese and sauce today and it didn’t crisp quite as nicely as it usually does. We will be back many more times!

Yum yum yum! I really wanted to try &pizza after frequenting Blaze in College Park, and I think I like &pizza better! It’s a little more expensive, and the portion is smaller, but the options are wonderful, the drinks are divine, and I’m pretty petite so about 2⁄3 of the pizza fills me up nicely. :] The interior is brightly lit, and the space is narrow & long — a bunch of table pushed together going across the space and the ordering counter on one side. It’s a bit cramped… there’s not really that much space between some of the seats and the people in line, but it’ll do. &pizza has menus on really cute clipboards, which list some signature combos, salads, & drinks on one side, and the«create/make your own» options on the other. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options here, so there’s something for everyone! I chose to make my own pizza: Dough: Traditional Sauce: Basil spinach pesto base and mushroom truffle drizzled on top Toppings: quattro formaggi, artichoke hearts, marinated mushroom blend, Italian sausage, smoked bacon, spinach Final add-ons: crumbled goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, red pepper chili oil The pizza is sliced into 4 large pieces, and then sliced halfway down the middle(horizontal), which makes it easier to eat! Honestly I had so many ingredients it was just a mash-up of flavor and yumminess. The sun-dried tomatoes were a lovely burst of tang and texture, the pesto was rich, the goat cheese tasted fresh and creamy, and the Italian sausage was well-cooked. Also I’m happy I went with my friend’s suggestion for their housemade craft sodas and tried the ginger berry lemonade. Perfect blend of tart and sweet… honestly if I could buy this by the gallon, I would. Service is minimal, but it’d be nice if the employees smiled a bit more? They looked pretty bored and not too pleased to be there, but I guess that’s okay… anyway, the 5 others I went with enjoyed their pizzas as well(some of the guys complained that they were still hungry though ha so maybe &pizza would serve better as a «light» dinner?). I walked out with about 1⁄3 left to snack on later for board game night. :D At ~$ 10, it’s a great deal. &pizza, you’ve won me over! ^_____^

First off, one of the workers at this location made several comments to me that I had chosen too many toppings on my pizza and that I shouldn’t do that next time. Would a McDonald’s worker tell a customer ordering a Big Mac to get something healthier instead? No, because that’s absolutely none of your business. In any case, if I hadn’t already been to Blaze, I might have been more impressed with &pizza. Both have the make-your-own pizza concept with a TON of toppings available, but &pizza might have more«out there» toppings like egg, shrimp, and yogurt sauce. &pizza pizzas comes out long and flat, whereas Blaze pizzas are round — I think I prefer the traditional round shape because it’s easier to portion out. Blaze is also $ 1-$ 2 cheaper than &pizza, although the &pizza franchise has exploded in the area recently and is easier to find. Ultimately, It’s hard not to like PIZZA — especially something so customizable to your own tastes.

Great pizza and it’s a new location. I’m INLOVE with their pizza and I’m in love with the area. I’d give them 5 stars but their staff can be very. Nonchalant at times. Staff seemed very careless and didn’t pay any mind to my questions about the toppings and pizza desserts. One man was very sloppy and careless with my pizza. Seemed like he was out of it I guess. Customer service just wasn’t that great.

I tried this place again because I was in the area. It was good! I bought two pizzas this time. Custom pizza. I got the pizza on ancient grain with spicy tomato, spinach, Daiya mozzarella, mushroom blend, onions, and peppers. The only finisher was the red chili oil, which really adds the smoothness to the pizza. I really enjoyed it. Not only that, the colors were amazing when it was done. It was not messy nor was it overly salty. The cheese was creamy and stretched a bit. Nothing you would see from pizza hut or dominos. Lori Lane. This was the dessert pizza. First time ever trying something like this. I was really hesistant. It looked overly sweet, but it was as sweet as a blueberry crêpe. Understandably so because it was blueberries on thin crust. I enjoyed it and would try it again.

When I was a kid, I used to love to go to Pizza Hut. It was my second favorite pizza to my Mom’s homemade deep dish pizza. Oh by the way, no one makes better pizza than my mama. When Domino’s came to town, I was done with Pizza Hut. When I got to college, I tried my first Papa John’s pizza at the urging of my dorm’s resident adviser, and after dipping crust into that garlic sauce, I was done with Domino’s. Although I’ve had other pizzas, Papa John’s was my go-to favorite until I moved to Montgomery County, joined Unilocal, and got acquainted with &pizza. Now &pizza will be the first place I think of when I want a pizza in the DMV. This is not to say I won’t eat those national chains’ pizza again(especially if I’m outside of the DMV), but once you’ve had &pizza, it is hard to go back to the others. The one thing I like overall is the ability to choose what I want on it, and to watch it being made. This is the same concept as Blaze, DC Pizza, Veloce and Pie Five. I like to get the ancient grain dough because it is made with locally milled flour, but there is traditional dough as well. There are several different sauces and spreads that you can put on the crust, my favorites are the mushroom truffle and the basil spinach pesto. Also, when you’ve eaten their house-made fresh mozzarella, there is no going back to the shredded cheese, but they offer that as well. There are also signature pizzas with pre-selected toppings, like the Gnarlic, Kiss & Fire, Farmer’s Daughter, Moonstruck, Maverick, and Backyard Garden. When this location first opened, they offered two other pizzas, the Grecian Market and the Redvine. Currently the Grecian Market ingredients are being offered as a salad. Before being introduced to &pizza, I never had shrimp on a pizza, here it will cost $ 2.36 extra. You can also get cage-free farm eggs and falafel among other proteins. Broccoli, spinach, artichokes and a blend of mushrooms are some of the vegetable options. After the pizza is baked, they can add toppings such as arugula, goat cheese, kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes along with fig marsala, strawberry balsamic sauce, and /or tzatziki yogurt. I don’t understand why the olives and tomatoes are added after the baking and not before. You must give the house-made sodas a try, particularly their pear + fig elixir, mango & passion fruit, and the ginger berry lemonade. When I attended this location’s pre-opening event back in February, they offered a Vodka Mango Passionfruit Collins drink. I hope they will consider adding this cocktail, plus other alcoholic drinks to the menu. It would be great if the pizzas were cooked in a wood fired brick oven instead of the conveyor oven. But I think any of these flatbread pizzas are well worth the $ 9 plus tax.

This is the first &Pizza location I have been to, but I heard a lot of great things about the chain. This location has farm-table seating so everyone sits at one huge table in the middle. I really like the assembly-line set up, but I can understand it can be overwhelming when there are people behind you and you are unsure of what to order. The pizzas come in one size only and for a flat rate of ~$ 9.50 and the only item that is extra are the shrimp(~$ 2.25). I also really like their house-made soda selections: Pear and Fig and Mango and Passion Fruit are my current faves. I also had their chocolate Pizzelles(thin Italian cookie, also sold in vanilla) I ended up ordering a chicken pizza for BP and it turned out pretty good. The chicken was lightly marinated and tender. I also went for both the house-made mozzarella cheese and the for cheese and loaded the pizza with veggies. I also really liked the Lori Lane dessert pizza. it was loaded with berries(both blue and black) and agave syrup. Like my tip says: India and Mary are the sweetest staff members. India was amazing, she walked me through the whole pizza building process and was so patient with me. Thanks India!

No longer do people in MD suburbs have to drive all the way north to Germantown, or down to Bethesda for &pizza. There is now a Gaithersburg location in Crown! It’s tucked behind Ted’s Bulletin, right next to Asia Nine and Chop’t. The family communal table is welcoming, as there are plenty of seats for the anticipated busy lunch/dinner crowd. With a healthy number of smiling employees, you’ll be guided to creating your own pizza, or go with one of their signature creations(tip: you can still tweak it). The entire process will probably take 5 – 10 minutes, depending on how long the line is. Be sure to charge your phone because it can take 15 – 20 minutes during peak hours(this is true for DC and Germantown location, so the trend may follow). This is my 5th time coming to &pizza and I found the sauce to be the most important part, because the dough/crust will inherit it once you finish eating the toppings above. My favorite is the basil spinach pesto sauce, but your mileage may vary. As for toppings… want to go crazy on spinach? Sure! How about some meatball with Italian sausage? Yes please! The only tip I would provide is to have a baseline of what you typically like on a pizza(veggies, bacon, sausage, etc), and experiment with 2 – 3 more items. For example, I had no idea sunny-side up eggs would be my must-have addition to the pizza. If you decide to start mixing 90% ingredients that you wouldn’t normally put on a pizza, you’d be in for a wild ride to the bathroom. Lastly, their home-made soda is pretty decent too, versus their canned/bottled beverages. I especially like their classic diet soda and mango & passion fruit.
