How could I not think that my second home here in Galena was anything but a five star joint. From it’s classic Carnegie design, which like many buildings in Galena, retains its nineteenth century character, except perhaps for the addition of ceiling fans. The shelves are well-stocked, the reading room is like a living room. There is a separate level for the kids, and a special history section. The staff is right out of library Hollywood casting and just about the nicest, jovial, friendly people you could ever meet. Public computers are available and easy to access. And sometimes they have free candy. No, I’m not kidding… free candy.

5 stars because i love libraries. 1 star because my computer could not pick up their«free wifi». the library itself looks like someones two story house. very old. it was built back in 1907.
