Nope nope nope.
We are delaying my sons vaccines after his 2 months shot and he had a reaction. They dismissed us from the practice. I know plenty of other parents who delay and/​or do not vaccinate at all and they have not been kicked out.
They did not even give us a warning. Also at every appointment this was the only thing they focused on and talked about. My son is in perfect health and extremely verbal, and has had some shots but we disagree with giving so many at once. Look up the ingredients, I don’t trust the federal government demanding which shots I give when.
Luckily we found another pediatrician for my son as well as a naturopath.
Also, I’ve had appointments in the past that have been scheduled for a few months and they cancel at the 9^th hour. It is a rotating practice so unless you choose one specific doctor they just rotate your kids through and didn’t seem to know my son’s name or care much. Only care about pushing the vaccines because thats how doctors make their money today thanks to the pharmaceutical. We now go to Wildwood pediatrics which has offices in Old Saybrook and Essex. We love it!

Love the doctors here. Went here as a kid and take both of my kids here now as well. There was one female doctor who we saw when our normal doctor was out who seemed a little short, but other than that we have never had a bad experience here. The only thing that I do not like is that unlike in many doctor’s offices, there are no longer reminder telephone calls. When you schedule an appointment six months to a year in advance, it can be a little hard to remember as life tends to happen, so I wish they would bring this service back. I try to mark it on the calendar, but even so, sometimes things get overlooked, whereas a telephone call or message would not.

I always have a great experience here ! The doctors and staff are wonderful and caring. Yes the were taken over by a corporation but who isn’t these days ! I think it’s great that Yale is branching out this way. When I need answers to questions I receive them !

I used to go here as a child it was good then I had Dr. Lovin she was so sweet I loved her. When I had my daughter I chose them but now I wonder what happened in between those years… they’ve gone down hill and that new answering service isn’t working out for patients who are used to getting reminder phone calls and now when you miss an appointment they charge you $ 50 which is ridiculous if you ask me and the receptionist are so moody some times you never know what you’re going to get when you walk through that door. But tonight was the final straw I called during the day because my child wasn’t feeling well and got that stupid answering service who made me wait 20mins just to have her tell me a doctor would call me… well an hour went by and no call so I called back and was hung up on and all the sudden the doctor magically calls me back. He rushed me and wasn’t very informational he was one of those if you don’t ask me I won’t say kind of people. Then later I needed to take my child to the ER so I called them because they usually have a doctor on call and apparently now they don’t because I nurse from Boston called me back and basically told me that they have on call doctors but they aren’t 24 – 7 I’m sorry but that’s what on call means being available when people need you. So therefore I’m done with them not treating me or my family like I’m a priority especially in a time of need. It’s sad how far they’ve let their practice go

I have been bringing my children here for the past 7 years and I have come to adore two doctors, Dr. Lin and Dr. Lovin. Dr Lin, I tend to see more and she is the most loving and caring doctor. I just moved 30 minutes away and will continue to see her for check-​ups because my children aren’t just another number to her. She is genuinely patient with them and is extra sweet to my baby, as she was when my middle child was a baby. She answers all my petty questions and takes care of my kids with great gentleness. I am most impressed with how she remembers my kids’ names and what they like to do from previous visits, so when we come again she will ask them how things are going with… something they previously chatted about. Great lady indeed!
Dr. Lovin is a very nice and caring doctor as well. I appreciate all her help over the years too.
