AMC Showplace Galesburg 8

So, it was a really rough week, and I needed some laughs, so I an the hubby headed out to catch a movie. We bought our tickets and the attendant said «That will be 9 dollars.» I thought she’d only charged me for one ticket. Two tickets for under $ 10? That’s amazing. Plus, since we went for the first show, there were only 5 other people in the theater with us! The concessions were the usual price at about $ 15 for a hot pretzel and a small slushie, but I didn’t really care, since the tickets were so cheap. The theaters are clean, the staff is friendly, and the only time I had to stand in line was when we went to see the new Star Wars movie. Heck, at this price, I’ll actually go out to the movies more often!

The Kerasotes 8 in Galesburg is a nice, clean, relatively new theater. Employees were great, and the movie picture and sound quality were awesome. It was our first 3D movie, and I will definitely do the 3D again, great experience.

This is the only theater in Galesburg. There used to be another one, but there isn’t anymore. However, I like this theater. It’s clean and the typical teenagers that work there are nice. I don’t dig on the popcorn, but I am a picky movie theatre popcorn girl. Suffice to say, I will eat it. All in all, a great movie experience.

This was my go to theater while living in Galesburg. I recently went back to view Steve Pink’s «Hot Tub Time Machine» with a group of friends that are still in college. I enjoy this theater a lot more now that they’ve gotten rid of having to buy movie bucks when using a credit/​debit card. It was always annoying to have to do that but no longer is that the case. Which makes this movie lover smile!
