My team and I were in town from Michigan for a football game and we ate here the night before. All the food tasted watered down and undercooked. Not only was the food bland but it gave 5 people on our team food poisoning including me. Stay away from this place.

The waitress was very nice. But otherwise this place is completely messed up. In spite of being a steak house, they charge you 12 $ when you come in for a buffet that includes no steak. I was told they couldn’t make money on steak so they have switched. I paid separately for a steak. It was seriously tough. The salad was totally limp. The desserts were obviously from frozen. I doubt it will be around long.

Great food for the dollar. Clean, hot, and quite tasty food, and a great variety of it. Nice salad & fruit bar too. My server Michelle was great too. Sr. Discounts also.

The food is pretty good as an all-you-can-eat buffet style restaurant … The place is clean and the staff is typically friendly and pretty speedy with drink refills as long as the place isn’t packed…

This place was pretty terrible. We went there before trying to get to a movie, hoping it’d be good food, at a reasonable wait time. Yeah that didn’t happen. Thankfully they actually had good meat, otherwise this two star would be a one. The food took forever, also they got a few of our orders mixed up or wrong. The mashed potatoes were dry and slightly tasteless, and the butter(a disgusting shade of neon yellow) only made it worse. If you’re looking for a a decent tasting meal delivered at a reasonable time, go somewhere else, or if this is truly the only option, steak buffet is the quickest, but don’t touch the sides.

Went for dinner before catching a movie while visiting family. Ordered their fish platter instead of doing their steak buffet, even though that is their main focus, because we were short on time & I thought the fish would be the faster option. It was not. Also, you may need to be sure they have provided the correct sides if you are choosing anything other than fries. They messed up 3 of our side orders & the kitchen almost forgot one of our orders entirely. Kudos to our waitress, Paige, for hustling back & forth to the kitchens to try to make it right. Although the food tasted good, my fish & hush puppies were a little over-fried.

This place just sound good doesn’t it??? I knew I was going to a good eat, when the sign outside held a picture of a old school cattle on it. I will have to load it up on my pictures… Well everything was buffet style… And I was a huge fan of the baked salmon! Delicious… Tender, Juicy, and good subtle hint of seasoning. The steak I can’t really say the same. The gentleman on the grill is cooking the steaks through the shift and pulls one off when you request it. I think that lets them dry out, even if you order a steak more on the rareish side… Wasnt too big of a fan on that. The desserts… Great assortment of cookies, cakes, pies, and candies. Average it all out and you have a place that is very reminiscent of Golden Corral or Ryan’s, with the exception of serving less than notable steaks in the buffet. It was still good… and I’m sure Ill go back if I am in Galesburg!

I was in Galesburg for matters related to my wife’s family. Sirloin Stockade was convenient for everybody, many of whom had come from out-of-town, so we ended up eating one breakfast, one lunch and one dinner there. It is a large buffet style restaurant with a wide choice of salads, appetizers, meats and side dishes. Considering the difficulties of keeping such a variety of dishes warm but not overcooked, they do a pretty good job. It’s certainly a great place for those who love all-you-can-eat restaurants, which is what I was when younger. I would certainly go back. Attention Californians: they have a dressing they call«western» which is identical to what West Coasters call«Russian

I came here with my boyfriend’s family, since it’s one of their standbys other than the local Applebee’s. Not bad, there is a lot to choose from. I was bothered that the salad dressings were straight of of their respective Kraft bottles but eh you get what you pay for I guess? The steak wasn’t bad at all though. Service excellent, very attentive and sweet. Like the original poster said if you have other options I would go elsewhere.

Interesting place. I ended up here once for dinner and once for breakfast by default because it was next door to my hotel and no one could make up their mind where they wanted to eat. If I had a choice, I would probably not go here again. It is what it is, a buffet steak place where the focus is on quantity, not quality. Breakfast was a bit better than dinner as I don’t mind so much getting my eggs from a buffet as much as I do my steak. The place is a bit run down on the inside, no doubt from the huge volume of locals and travelers they churn through this place. The service is good, the food is fair at best. If you have other options, go somewhere else.
