University Dental Center

As someone familiar with the fate of Medicaid dental care, I was extremely pleased to find this place. The staff is caring and very friendly and does exceptional work. For those without insurance, they have a sliding scale based on ability to pay. I had given up on dental care under Medicaid until I came here.
Dr. Toth is a really great guy who runs this office which is part of UMDNJ.

Very disappointing. Don’t waste your time. They do not care about their patients — only training for the student dentists at the expense of your insurance company! I saw them almost a month ago for a full exam and cleaning, and just now was told that they had still not yet submitted documentation to my insurance company for approval of the scope of work they had recommended. They were waiting for the new class of student dentists to begin in 4+ months!!! The director, Dr. Depental has little or no knowledge about service to patients and refuses to accept responsibility for fault, let alone to apologize for same. BE CAREFUL! I am definitely informing my insurance company of their practice. Rutgers University was investigated for insurance fraud 5 years ago, according to the Dean. Enough said!
