Husband and I ate lunch here on Memorial Day holiday. It was our first visit. I love Italian and have wanted to try this place for a long time. We were the first customers of the day. The décor is nice, waiter was professional, all was going well until the next customers came to eat. Out of the whole empty(except for us) dining room, the waiter seated them next to us! Come on! Really??? Why do restaurants do this? We could hear EVERY word of their conversation and I’m sure they could hear ours. I thought the waiter was joking when he asked which sauce I wanted on my ravioli(singular, not plural) He was not kidding, I got ONE sort-of large cheese ravioli. It also came with fettuccine. Bread was good, dinner salad was good, waiter kept our ice teas refilled. My biggest complaint was the seating of the customers right next to us when they could have been seated at least 2 tables away. Unless a restaurant is busy, there is no reason to seat everyone so close.

Stopped in for lunch on our way home from Fresno. The service was great, price for lunch more than reasonable and our sandwiches were very tasty. My husband had his with the soup and I opted for the salad, both were very good. All in all a great place for lunch, we will make this a regular stop on our way up or down Hwy 99.

I have been here a few times. People are friendly and good service However foods aren’t really good. Over cooked soggy and soft pasta. Tomato sauce wasn’t bad but their Alfred sauce tasted blunt and no fravour. Only thing I liked was a minestrone soup. That’s about it. Also price is pretty expensive for the quality of food. It’s almost like macaroni grill price. In galt there is no Italian restaurant other than this place so I come here like maybe once a year. When I want to have Quick Italian lunch and don’t wanna drive far. Good service but food aren’t on the same level sadly:(

Went here with some friends after work for a late lunch. The place only had a few customers and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was so efficient and kind since many of us have never been there before. I ordered a penne pasta with meat sauce dish and it was SO delicious. I’m always disappointed with how bland most restaurants make their meat sauce but Wholey Ravioli was on point!!! I’m so glad my friend introduced me to this place… too bad it’s all the way in Galt.

Family owned restaurant. If you want good Italian food, this is the place to go! Portions are more than enough, and the taste is phenomenal! You will not go home disappointed. You can even get your favorite items to-go! Love this place!

Love that this establishment is family owned and run and they use fresh, local ingredients(you can taste it!). Recently remodeled and I love the new feel of the place. Don’t come here if you’re looking for artificial tasting Italian, like Olive Garden. This is the real deal! Food is always on point! LOVE this place!

We’ve tried this place a few times, and keep hoping it will be better than before, but it’s just not happening. I ordered the eggplant parmesan, and was sorely disappointed. It tasted like it was prepared three days ago and sat in the fridge absorbing all the refrigerator odors. And it was topped– not with a fresh grind of parmesan, or nice mozzarella, but with a big square flat piece of… something resembling cheese product. Most bizarre. This place could really have the market on Italian dining here in Galt, but it doesn’t!

I absolutely love this place! We eat here at least once a month. Always fast and friendly service. It is a little on the expensive side but for the quality and amount you get, it’s well worth it…

Cosy atmosphere with beautiful decorations and jazzy music. I got surprised by their wonderful home-made bread and butternutsquash soup. Then came a creamy pesto penne deliciousness, well presented as the rest. This place made me classier for the span of a lunch, and for a remarkably inexpensive price.

Being from the NY tri-state area, I am a sucker for anything that claims to be New York style. So when I was driving home to Fresno from Sacramento and I saw the Wholey Ravioli sign from the freeway, I figured I’d give it a try since their tagline was NY style food. Not so much. I’m guessing the owners take for granted that none of the customers have never been to NY to have its amazing food, so they won’t know any better. I ordered the meatball sandwich to eat there and some ravioli to bring home with me for dinner. First, they gave me some bread which had a very weird sauce on top. Not sure what it was and it kind of gave me the heebie geebies. Next, they gave me a salad that was fine. Then I got my sandwich. It was so weird. Imagine a spongy brick of a bread-like substance topped with one meatball that was cut up into very small pieces and placed over the brick. Then it was drenched in sauce that had a strange taste to it… kind of sweet. Not exactly bad, but not what I was expecting. Then it was smothered in melted cheese. If you were to order this in NY, you’d get a giant hoagie roll heaping with giant meatballs. And the sauce wouldn’t have tasted anything like this. It was just a very odd sandwich. The waiter was very nice and attentive, which is a good thing because I was the only person there at about 3 pm. I paid my bill and got my ravioli, then got in my car to leave. The waiter came running after me because he realized he forgot to put meat sauce on my ravioli, so he brought it back in and added it. That was nice. I had the ravioli the next day and they were fine. Gigantic, though. I have never seen these kind of ginormous ravioli in NY, or anywhere else for that matter. The sauce again was very sweet and had a different kind of flavor than I ever had. It actually started to grow on me after a while and I will say it’s pretty good. So there’s that. In conclusion, it just irks me to no end to get tricked into eating at places that claim to be NY style when they really are not. It happens to me all the time. I guess I am just gullible. Maybe it’s the closest thing to NY style food in Galt. Either way, I wish they would get that claim off of their marketing materials so you don’t look like a bunch of liars. And get the ravioli, not the saucy sponge with a meatball.

We just ordered the #7 dinner Lasagna with meat sauce on Take out. The order came with 2 boxes of Lasagna/sauce, «bucket» of salad and choice of dressings and loaf of Italian bread. The portions were large enough for a dinner or two. It was EXCELLENT flavor. EVERYTHING they make is FRESH. If you haven’t been to Wholey Ravioli, then you need to make a plan and do it. You won’t be disappointed. I will definitely be back.

I stopped here on a whim and wasn’t disappointed. I got the«Rav it Your Way» lunch special. 3 ravioli, 3 sauces. First off, the ravioli are huge, so 3 is enough. Mushroom sauce was fair at best… Alfredo was pretty darn good, and I’m not a huge fan of Alfredo… Meat sauce was amazing! My favorite of all 3. Had a sweet zing to it, almost a sausage and pepper taste. I’d order that again in a hot second. Next time I’ll be trying a different pasta. The raviloi were good, but a bit heavy for me. The Chicken Pastini soup was amazing! I could pick out 3 ingredients… chicken, pasta, and carrots. For being what appeared to be a very simple recipe, it was SUPER full of flavor. I didn’t care for the bread though. It tasted like plain old soft french bread. I like a hearty, crusty bread with Italian food. And it was cold… meh!
