Main entrée was awful. Chicken fried steak is practically black, but the beans and Mac and cheese are decent.

Best breakfast buffet on the island. Friendly staff, omelet bar, good food, different crowd than the Golden Corral. Lots of plusses. Family owned and operated. Highly recommend.

Me and my date enjoyed our meal. My shrimp padta qas a bit bland, but sufficient. My date liked his Grilled Chicken Sandwich. They gave me free chicolate ice cream despite the fact that they were clising. Cool jungle theme ambience and nice staff. Unilocal coupon made it reasonable. I would return.

My husband and I came here while on our honeymoon. We enjoyed the food and service very much. Everything was fresh, piping hot and delicious! Very enjoyable lunch!

My food took over 45 minutes to make, and my boy Vic’s food took over an hour. All I ordered was a loaded spud. The women’s restroom was over flowing with toilet paper in the toilet! The restrooms were not very clean. Only one bathroom. Overall the food was great, service was pretty good. The location was convenient.

I order from the jungle often. The burgers are great! Fries have a great seasoning on them. A little pricey but worth it for the quality.

I went today. First I ordered a simple BLT with FF. My son ordered kids chicken nuggets. After waiting 30 minutes I went up and asked where our food was. Person who took order failed to print ticket nor even notice we never got oir food. When it did finally come bacon was too soft but«jungle juice» tasted sour. Idk what happened but I will go back and try again. When they are on, it is great.

Really good handmade burgers. Their jungle sauce was a nice touch. The a/c had a hard time keeping it cool with the open grill, but it wasn’t too bad. We shall return!

The BEST home made veggie burger on the island! It’s so fresh & huge that you may want to ask for a fork to gobble up every delicious crumb.

Good fast food. Location is not great. Prices made it worth the trip. The mac and cheese is really good!

Been going here since their east end location had opened and and always been a fan. They’re chili spaghetti is the best, but one of my favorites is their spud gone wild. We often get coupons and deals for this place and since we now live down the street from their new location my husband is always asking to go. Though service is not always the fastest, they are very friendly. My friends at work often order from here as well because they do offer delivery. Always a nice little place to come to when we just don’t feel like cooking. :)

This is a pay before you eat place, or we would have walked out sooner than we did. We picked it because we were with our grandkids and it looked kid friendly. We placed our order and waited and waited and waited. We waited almost an hour. Food seemed to be coming out about every twenty minutes, if not longer. The kiddos were starving. How long could it take to make a corn dog? Finally, in exasperation, I went to the counter to ask how much longer. I was told«quite some time» and it was already 8:20 pm! I said I wanted my money back as my grandkids needed nourishment PDQ. They complied, and were apologetic, saying they were short staffed. Had the owner let us know this at the beginning, we could simply have moved on and you would not be reading this lousy review.

Stay away. Everything is frozen and disgusting. If you enjoy eating here you need to start eating food meant for human consumption. The garlic bread is nothing more then a hot dog bun slathered in butter. A $ 14 catfish ‘platter’ includes only a single piece of paper thin catfish. The ‘spuds’ are microwaves and topped with processed junk. The Mac and cheese should be called Mac OR cheese because you only get the Mac and something they consider cheese. The only thing it has going for it is the hilarious memories it has left for me and my friends!

I really want to give this place higher stars but I can’t. Let me start with the good: the owner is very friendly and very kind. Also the chili has a great flavor but always gives me heartburn. Now the bad: burgers are terrible, breakfast buffet is very pitiful and grits were liquid, a total waste of money. I’ve tried a few things because they deliver on the island but I can’t find anything I like.

This is a good lil’ restaurant. Nothing to write home about, but it was perfect for what it was. Everything was tasty and fresh.

Great sandwiches, friendly staff and very reasonably priced. I haven’t eaten a sandwich there that I didn’t like. Oh yeah, they have great hotdogs. Nursery they do deliver with a minimum order and we work on pelican Island. They are one of the only places that delivers out there. Would highly recommend.

Just had lunch there. First time to eat in but had ordered delivery from them in the past. I had the Patty Melt and fries and it was very good. Very juicy hamburger and great crisp seasoned fries. I like that it is locally owned. Owner is very nice and wants to make sure you are happy! I live close by so will be a regular.

The burgers are hand formed, not frozen, and you can taste it! They’re awesome! They have several gourmet burgers that would sell for twice the price in some upscale burger joint. Most upscale burger joints couldn’t compete with them on flavor. The BBQ ham cheeseburger was my favorite. My wife liked the«Burger Gone South.» The place is family owned and operated. The folks are friendly and bend over backwards to satisfy their customers. They’re not trying to prop up some front or some fake atmosphere. The place is fairly utilitarian, with an open kitchen, some folding chairs, etc. It’s all about the food!

I have ordered sandwiches from the Jungle Café a few times and they were always delicious and reasonably priced. This is one of the only restaurants that deliver to the far west end of Galveston, and you can order from their website. The Reuben Gone Wild sandwich is my favorite, and they have a pretty good variety on their menu. I’ll definitely have to visit this place in person.

Handicap accessible? Technically, yes. They do have a series of wood planked ramps to back doors. But it’s very difficult to navigate and assistance is required to get on and off the ramp due to loose/warped boards at the bottom and a 3 inch step at the top to get in and out of the building. The food is good, but like other reviews a little above average price. I would recommend the spud(potato) section of the menu.
