We contacted GKO for a weekend kayak fishing trip for the guys. Flexible, helpful, friendly. Sean was nice enough to meet us up beforehand, go over some basics and then we were out on the water the next morning. He is a stand-​up guy and really passionate about sharing his love of kayaking and fishing.
I had never been salt water fishing before, but Sean was very knowledgable about the lay of the land, various fishing spots, lures, and even helped me tune my reel. He definitely made this trip a memorable one. I highly recommend GKO and am looking forward to another trip to Galveston!

I contacted Galveston Kayak Outfitters for a recommendation for a kayak I am planning on purchasing for my boyfriend as a gift, what I received was OUTSTANDING customer service. Sean not only informed me about my options but went as far as doing some research and calling me back to tell me what he learned. If this is the type of customer service he provides to a stranger on the phone, I can’t imagine the lengths he’d go to to make sure his customers have an amazing experience. Extremely knowledgeable. Flexible. Friendly. And clearly love what they do. This is a passion and not just a job for them. If you want to experience the Galveston Bay with a guide OR by yourself, they will send you off with a comfortable kayak and some knowledge of the local flora and fauna. Highly recommend for anyone that wants to experience the bay.
We came down having never been to Galveston and are leaving now feeling like we really got to experience a part of it. Not just the tourist traps. Not just the beach. But a learning experience that was extremely fun and a nice little work out too. Watching the sunset from a tiny island was the icing on the cake.
