Jamaica Beach RV Resort

Thank you to the nice owner who found me an overflow spot on my pass through trip. Nice facility must be a blast in the summer time.

2 pools a spa and karaōke plus outdoor movie and putt putt golf come on it does not get any better

Homemade and bossy. Everywhere u look are signs telling you what you can’t do. The facilities are all newish yet FUNKY. Staff was pretty unfriendly. The long drive to town got annoying. The sites themselves were nice. Pools were cool in a homemade way. The playground was crap. Need multiple wifi passwords if u have multiple devices — who doesn’t?

I would like to be able to write a review about my visit but I haven’t been able to talk to anyone there. I was able to talk to a staff member (after trying for half an hour for someone to answer) four hours ago, she said she was too busy to tell me if there was a space available but that she would call me back. She took my number but didn’t ask my name. I’ve been waiting for her (or someone) to call me back. I tried calling back several times but I’ve gotten nothing but a busy signal so I’ve come to the conclusion that they have taken their phone off the hook. I guess they’re not interested in future business even if there’s no vacancies now. How difficult is it just tell a potential (long term) client that there’s no openings?

We just spent 4 days here and it was well worth the money. We asked for a site on the end and had our pick between two when we arrived. Our site was plenty big enough and we enjoyed the peaceful stay at this park. Our son and a friend did the mini golf and we tried out the pool the next night. Overall, this was a good park to stay a few days. I would prefer one closer to the beach as I did not want to walk across the four lane highway and across a field to get to the beach.
Our only problems were the issues with the wifi where our campsite was and the giant chess set looked like it’s been there a very long time with little to no upkeep to the pieces. Other than this, we enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this park to others.

I was appalled at the state of this RV park. I was expecting so much more due to the misleading pictures on the website that portray Jamaica Beach as a resort. The mini-​golf was quite pricey considering there is another mini-​golf closer to the city of Galveston that would actually be worth the price. The petting zoo was merely some alpacas in poor conditions out behind a fence. The RV park itself is not on the beach, and sites were very close together making it hard to maneuver in and out. We could hardly fit the towing vehicle in with the camper. The park was a little grimy and mosquitoes were a problem. Bathrooms and showers were covered in accusatory signs punctuated by grammatical errors – A business should at least instill some trust in the customer. Pool was gross – hair was floating around in the water and it was murky looking. The shower they expected to be used before entering the pool was scalding hot with no way to adjust the temperature and merely a HOSE. The dog run was littered the poop that other owners did not feel the need to pick up. Also, the owners themselves could not follow their own directions. Jamaica Beach visitors should not have laundry out to dry for aesthetic reasons but I guess the owners can throw clothes out over the banister anytime.
One good thing, they have an option to order a pizza from the office with unlimited toppings and we were quite satisfied with ours. They also have movies to rent.
When we return we are staying at a RV park down the street which will be on the beach with larger sites and perhaps professional owners. Overall Jamaica Beach RV park was disappointing.

A wonderful place to stay. Concrete pads, all pull-​thrus. Clean restrooms/​showers. Exercise room, pool, pool table… waffles. Nice folks. Nice alpacas. Nice buffalo. A bit far from the Strand, but close to the beach.

The nicest RV resort we’ve found to date… noticably pricier than others, but better in so many ways. Definately stay over a weekend… you pay the same and get many more perks… we weren’t fortunate enough to get to enjoy that. Would be nice to have a lower rate during the week to compensate for the things we didn’t benefit from.
