We arrived 20 minutes before closing. People were still seated. They refused to seat us because they were«too slow» and closed the kitchen an hour early. There were more people behind us checking to see if they were open.

HANDSDOWNBESTGREEKSALADONTHEISLAND. Tried the vegetable plate once, wasn’t a fan, but everything else is delicious.

The food didn’t live up to our expectations. My boyfriend had a pizza with gyro meat. He thought that the meat was great but that the rest of the pizza, crust in particular, was mediocre. I had the fried catfish. The fish came with a side Greek salad, rice, pita, and something else. The fish was pretty good, but the sides(with the exception of the salad) were not good at all. The pita tasted of raw flour. Cute place, seems to be popular, we just weren’t wowed by the food.

Pleasant experience here. Their menu off the bat has vegetarian and gluten free tags so it makes for easy pickings for me. There is a separate gluten free menu if requested. I had a big greek salad with grilled chicken and hubby had a gyro. Both were prepared fresh and the portions were generous. My chicken was a little over — grilled but their homemade dressing more than made up for it. We split some dolmas as well and those were delicious. The restaurant was very clean and had a casual ambiance. We enjoyed our experience and loved finding a little hole in the wall joint instead of filling Landry restaurant pockets. ;-)

I just thought this Greek restaurant, that has received many accolades, was average. Their lunch specials were priced anything but special. They have daily lunch specials as well, but since I came on a Tuesday, on that day along with Thursday, you don’t get a soup or salad with your entrée+side, just the 1 side item. For $ 9.99, it would be nice if they included a soup or salad on those days as well. I ordered the Philly gyro and wasn’t that impressed. Too much bread and the bun, or what they call a Philly roll here, is nothing special. Sure the gyro meat was okay, but the bread totally swallows the meat. The roasted potatoes were good as a side. If you order to-go, they now charge an extra 70 cents on top of your order… due to inflation… come on guys!!!

This place is for real. As in real Greek, real Galveston, and real good. Authentic Greek menu with everything under the sun in Athens. It also has a full bar with sports on the TV. If you want to get a sample of all their best, try the Olympic Platter. It’s big enough to share with another person and has soup, sides, moussaka, etc You want more? Check out even the bathrooms. They have a free sea salt scrub to wash your hands with. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the island.
