I just ordered pizza from here for the first time and never again. The sauce and bread have no taste at all and the cheese tasted sour. I can’t believe I just spent $ 20 on a medium pizza that tastes like cardboard. Even frozen grocery store pizza tastes better than that.

Fast delivery. The thin crust pizza was very good. Thin and crisp without being undercooked and mushy. Perfect! We ordered the pizza and wings special. The wings were very tasty in the«original» sauce(resembling Frank’s Red Hot). The garlic parm wings were a dry covering. We’re more used to a creamy garlic parm, but in fairness it didn’t specify. We also tried the chicken parm sandwich which was a little salty. We’ll probably not order it next time but will be returning for the pizza and would also like to try their lunch buffet for $ 6.99. Intriguing.

I enjoy Papa’s buffalo chicken pizza. The chicken is vary flavorful and tender, and the sauce is nice and spicy!

Good food! There were no breadsticks on the buffet. I asked for some and in minutes he had them for me. Pasta was really good.

We are off-season Galveston visitors, and when we get our fill of sea food or just need a change we call in an order to go. Never been disappointed, pizza is good, it is not NY or Chicago, but good pizza for Texas. Always ready when they say it will be.

I’ve ordered from Papa’s numerous times and have never been disappointed! It had been a while so last night we ordered and I decided to get a med white pizza with zucchini, garlic, artichokes, spinach and sun dried tomatoes. It arrived and I fell in love! It was the bomb! We decided to order again for dinner tonight so this time I got the extra large so there would be plenty of leftovers… The food arrived and to my horror, there were no sun dried tomatoes on my beautiful pizza :(I called and explained how devastated I was and they made it right, oh did they! Lol… they understood to want something so badly and then wah wah… the best part of my pizza was missing… I joke but in all seriousness, Papa’s Pizza is top notch!

Galveston’s favorite pizza place!!! It seems like whenever my family and I are at Galveston, this pizza place is always packed! I can tell why. Everything here is delicious. My family and I went on a binge and ordered almost everything from the menu.(Don’t skip your meals guys or else you’ll be hangry the rest of the day.) We ordered the spinach Alfredo pizza, bbq wings, Hawaiian wings, veggie sticks, and the crazy fries. Ugh, where do I begin?! Spinach Alfredo pizza: I’m a Alfredo fanatic. It’s unhealthy. I know. But it’s my weakness. This pizza hit the spot. It was creamy and it was loaded with spinach. The pizza slices are huge! My goodness. BBQ and Hawaiian wings: these wings are pretty big. Compared to bww and wing stop. Both were flavorful and cooked to perfection. Crazy fries: OMG. THESEFRIESAREHEAVENONEARTH. It’s basically cheese fries with bacon bits and jalapeño slices on top. It was amazing. If I had to recommend anything from the menu, it would be this. Get this. You won’t regret it. It will definitely be worth that 2 hour workout you’ll be doing tomorrow. Promise. In conclusion, yes. I will be coming back!

I enjoyed my brief Buffalo Wing charged visit, last week. The Pizza smelled so good I have decided to order delivery to downtown. Took awhile to get my wings but I would really like a pizza right now. I’ll let you know how my shrimp, mushroom, hamburger with extra cheese come out! Well, that was a great Pizza! Don’t tell anyone my secret recipe! Downtown Galveston delivery was great. No fear! On 26th St Havana Alley is in their service area. I recommend Papa’s Pizza!

I never write bad reviews but in this case I felt I needed to. Mostly for the service I received. Placed an order: two chicken fettuccinis(with salad and bread) and some wings(with fries and a drink). I was told 25 minutes. I went to pick it up and I waiting about 20 more minutes. My order had been sitting there for a while but no one acknowledged it. They knew I was waiting and didn’t bother to ask what I was waiting for. Finally I asked how much longer and he went to grab my order. I didn’t get my fries or the bread and I had to ask about my drink. Overall service was horrible. As far as the food; salad was hot like it had been left out for a while. Wings were good(pretty big wings btw and original flavor taste great). My fettuccine was delicious but would’ve been way better with the bread they forgot to give me.

I want to give Papa’s 3.5 stars, since they were good, but I was also super starving, and you know the saying. I probably ordered too much food, but I went with the Unilocal reviews and tried the Crazy fries, which I really could and should have gone without. I’m just not a big fan of cheese sauce, for me it ruined the fries. If they would have put cheddar on the fries, I would have enjoyed them. If you can, take advantage of the $ 5 off online orders of $ 20 or more with a Unilocal check-in. I sure did. The Papa’s special pizza is your standard supreme pizza and was hot and fresh, even though there was a miscommunication when ordering online and picking it up. For some reason, the wings and fries were ready way before the pizza was. Like at least 20 minutes before! The counter attendant said she would call my number when the pizza was ready but she never did. I had to go up a couple of times and then it was finally ready. On a busy night, they told me 20 minutes for the online order to be ready, but it was about 45 mins realistically for the first part of my order, so I sat in the dining room, waited and ate a little, then another 20 minutes for the pizza to be ready. I also ordered a 10 pc wings with 2 flavors. The wings were alright. I tried the mango habanero and the«hotter» and the habanero was the less spicy of the two, surprisingly. Not nearly as good as Wingstop or BW3 as far as flavor goes. The plus is that the chicken wings are pretty large. Service was average on the busy night that I came, but then again, the servers said it’s busy everyday. Last but not least, the brownies at the register are pretty good too. For $ 3, you get 4 small squares.

This place use to have excellent food but the quality has seriously went down and it feels like they gave up. Goodness go to some chain pizza place if you want pizza. Pizza is greasy but the pizza now swims in grease.

We are here on vacation and had an exhausting day of site seeing and swimming at the beach. So, we decided to order pizza, jalapeño poppers, and a drink from somewhere we don’t have back home. What a disaster. Took way over an hour on a Monday night to get food. When we got it, the drink was half empty inside the bag. The delivery guy said it must of leaked, however there was no liquid in the bag. We believe someone drank half of it. He said he would be back with another one, which was another 30 minutes! Also the jalapeño poppers didn’t come with ranch, there were only 3, and there was a hole in the box. I’m positive someone had a snack and half of a drink while delivering. Then, you would think the pizza would at least be warm since we waited that long but nope it wasn’t. When confronting the delivery guy he was unapologetic and tried to make excuses. He told us if we have a problem to call the store. It was a disaster. So the lesson is if you want pizza while vacationing here just go with something you know like Little Ceasars or Papa Johns or something. Avoid this place at all cost!

We had the pizza, 2 large and 2 small for 70 $. They were all good, but not great. Pretty typical quasi New York style pizza. Plenty of toppings. If you are at the beach and what some pizza, give it a try.

Called in placed me on hold. Called in again and asked about placing a delivery order and told it would take 1−½ hours to take it .10 miles Orin 20 minutes I could pick it it. I came to pick it up and it’s been 45 minutes and I was told I have to wait it out. This place sucks and I realize it’s a generic out out of the jar pizza sauce place. I showed have read the reviews more. Not go back to ask for the pizza and the guy realizes he forgot about the pizza gives me the pizza and it’s cold. This place really sucks wind. Buyer beware repeat buyer beware. They’ve got young kids working over here this crack joint.. If I could give this place –100 stars I would

Good pizza in a great spot on the sea wall near drive-on beaches. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was ok and food came out fast. This will be our new spot for some good grease after a day at the beach.

4 stars for the pizza. Ordered delivery. Pizza was hot and really good. Wings were too crispy and hard to eat. Asked for two sauces with naked wings but got one. Probably an honest mistake. Try their sweet heat sauce, really good. Will definitely go back or order again.

I had a slice and the Philly steak sandwich and it’s just mediocre at best. The slice could have been better but the ingredients tasted old or stale. The philly had a decent flavor but there was hardly any meat. On a positive note this place does deliver but if they don’t step up their quality, I won’t bother. This is based on my delivery order, not any buffet.

My experience BEFORE tasting the pizza is one of the worst I have ever had. I attempted to put an order in online but had questions about the use of a coupon. I called in and spoke with a friendly sounding lady who was quick to sympathize with my plight. She explained they had a new website and that all the bugs were not worked out. She attempted to help me place the order online but several ingredients were missing from the ingredient list. She then suggested I put what I wanted in the comments section and they would straighten it out when they made the pizza. This was made challenging by the fact that the comments box only allowed 36 characters. I thanked her for the help anyway and then proceeded to try to place my order online. Again I was met with challenges as I realized there was no way to remove ingredients from a «Specialty» pizza. I called to complain about this as well and she attempted to explain that they were not a chain — just a single store and didn’t have the resources to have an entire website written to compare to these big chains. At this point my wife and I decided the $ 5 discount coupon was not worth the hassle we were going through to try to place the order online and that showing up in person might be the best solution. As we pulled up to Papa’s and were trying to park, a delivery driver cut in front of us and took the only one of 12 total parking spots available. We ended up parking in a striped zone while my wife ran in to place the order. She texted me a short while later that they had charged us $ 18.49 for a medium specialty pizza(the website said a medium specialty was $ 14.99). A parking spot came open right about that time, so I relocated the car and went inside to confront them about the price. I was even more flabbergasted when she told me that even though I had removed two ingredients, we were charged $ 1.75 each for the two that were added in their place because their own ticketing system did not allow them to substitute ingredients.(Oh and the website also states a different price for those toppings as well) And for all my troubles? «I’m sorry.» In addition to the specialty pizza, we ordered a half white /half Margherita pizza. The white pizza potion was a piece of bread with mozzarella on it. The Margherita portion was better but was missing the seasoned olive oil. The star of the night was the specialty pizza which had plenty of toppings and was quite flavorful. But definitely not worth almost $ 20 for a single medium pizza. In conclusion, if you run a business in this day and age, you should have all store fronts operational before you open your doors. It is very frustrating for your customers to muddle through a website that isn’t 100%. This will result in angry, frustrated customers, incorrect orders, and poor word-of-mouth. In addition, if you know your website is having issues and your customer is actually understanding enough to call in, work with them — take their order for them — give them a free topping for their patience — something to show you appreciate their business. As a result of my experience tonight, you have lost mine and my family’s business and whatever chain of business we may have generated by our recommendations to other friends and family — all because you didn’t make it right in the end. Oh, and talk to your drivers about courtesy — help them to see that the customers are what keep them — and you — in business. Pissing them off right before they walk into your store won’t help them have a good experience at your establishment. I hope this helps someone out there to dodge a bullet. If you have plenty of money and are ordering a nice simple pizza, you may not be affected, but beware otherwise!
