Amazing place and people. When I walked in for the first time a week ago, I had an instant feeling of peace and the lay out of this unique store was very inviting. The storeowner was kind, laid back and very customer service oriented. I have been to many Antiques stores but there is something special about the people, the Antiques and the overall «Coolness» of upcycle & Recycle Galveston. LOVE IT! Reggie

best store, they have records, free popcorn, necklaces, bracelets and all for good prices. Just being in this store made my day :) lots of antiques for bargain prices, good for treasure hunts and unusual finds. I walked out with a smile on my face, and antiques that were in good condition.

Its been a few months since we were in here. Upcycle has upped their game and now has a slightly higher quality merchandise and has improved the flow in the store. Definitely worth a look if you are shopping in the Post Office area.

«Upcycle/​Recycle Galveston» has become one of my personal favorites. The moment I walk in the door, my face is consumed with one of those curiously uncontrollable smiles, and my mind full of wonder.
I selfishly wanted to keep this find as my own hidden little gem. Lucky for you, I find it impossible to a keep secret!
The locality encompasses an emporium composed of the perfect balance of whimsy, treasure, laughter, amazing history, a healthy dose of «Je né sais quoi», and a little crap (one man’s trash is another’s treasure!)
Pricing is reasonable, and I find it tough to walk out of this joint without making a purchase. But when I do, I never really leave empty handed. The atmosphere is infectious… Empty handed or not when I walk out the door, I leave with an indescribable combination of joy, nostalgia, and awe!
You will find that many items have an incredible, if not incredulous history, while others were just unknowingly acquired by the family at some point in time.
The shop is run by a dynamic mother/​daughter team. These two ladies will make you feel right at home… if they don’t, just remind them «Mimi» would not approve! –It seems that Southern Families live under an expected decorum which demands unwavering hospitality! The family is entertaining and delightful and I frequently find myself walking the floor, scanning for new additions, while listening family stories and history lessons that were never taught in school!
Do yourself a favor… stop in for a visit. I’ll bet you won’t regret it!
