If you want Thai food with some serious flavor, this is it! I visited Thai at Waugh Chapel with a friend. We were at this shopping center to see a movie and have lunch. Upon entering the restaurant, you a greeted by really nice, modern décor. I loved it. This restaurant gives good date night vibes. We started off with an appetizer of spring rolls which were your typical spring roll – crispy, full of veggies, and delicious with the dipping sauce provided. I ordered the Ka Pow Fried Rice and my friend ordered Pad Thai. I LOVED my rice dish. It was deliciously spicy and the basil in the dish added a touch of cool sweetness to the dish. Also, they fried some of the basil and put it on top. That was probably my favorite thing about the dish… that fried basil. I began picking up the basil and eating it like potato chips. I was so pleased with my dish that I was dancing in my seat… yes, I’m one of those people that gets really happy over good food. I don’t remember what my friend thought of her Pad Thai but I know she wasn’t disappointed Considering it was the middle of the day and the restaurant was less than half full, we were surprised at how slow the service was. It took a while to get our drinks refilled and to get the check at the end. If it weren’t for those slight issues, this would’ve easily been a 5-star review. I will definitely be coming back, whether for a girl’s night out, a date, or simply to stuff my face.

I ordered delivery on a Saturday night and was extremely disappointed. The delivery estimate was 45 minutes and showed up in an hour, an acceptable variation. But the food itself was not very good. I ordered the shrimp Lad Nah, a dish I have had at multiple Thai restaurants. The noodles and shrimp/broccoli/sauce were packaged separately(for delivery?). The mix was 6 medium sized shrimp, broccoli stems(there was one floret) and a ton of salty sauce. Mixed together it filled a typical delivery bowl. I poured out the excess salty sauce(I didn’t order soup) and the bowl was half way filled with food. And it cost $ 16. Hopefully this is a flaw of delivery. But based on this experience I will not try the restaurant.

Love this thai restaurant from the ambiance to the quick service and food of course. I’ve tried many dishes, but my favorite is the crab fried rice. The spring rolls are also tasty. I usually carry out but the place never seems to be crowded and so there’s never a wait if I want to dine in.

Loved it. It would 5 out of 5 if the Thai hot was actually Thai hot on the chicken pad Thai. Definitely recommend though. The restaurant was nice and so was the staff. It’s in Waugh Chapel too, so there’s lots to do.

New year new food selections right? I’m glad I ventured out to try Thai at Waugh Chapel for my first new food experience of 2016. The eatery is clean, well lit and the wait staff are very attentive. When I was unsure if I’d like the Thai tea, my hostess graciously brought me a sample to decide. It was really good and flavorful. For my appetizer, the calamari and the gyoza were prepared to my liking and the portions are respectable. For the entrée the spicy eggplant and shrimp were delicious. The basil and spice created an eclectic taste that married well with the rice. Good food, good customer service are the things that will keep me coming back as a customer. I’m already plotting my next dining experience there. Perfect place to have a date night, appetizers before or after the movie(nearby), or catching up with old friends. The ambience is very positive and the décor is quaint.

The food is ok. I get the lemongrass soup, the green, penang or brown curry. I enjoy the lettuce wraps and papaya salad too. What I don’t like is their set up where the waitress takes the order and no matter when I visit it always seems to be the same guy who brings my food to the table. I’m distracted by the guy though because I always see him out back smoking. It’s a turnoff for me to see someone who smokes handling my food. I frequent the shopping center often and he is ALWAYS at the restaurant’s back door smoking. I just can’t enjoy my food when his nicotine filled fingers are wrapped around my plate as he puts it on my table. If you don’t feel the same about smokers, then maybe you’d love it here but this really bothers me seeing him out back so much.

If you are looking for authentic Thai food, this isn’t it. It’s something you can get at your local grocery store, which is crazy because they have 5-star dining prices. No frills, and very basic food. I ordered the panang curry. It was just tofu and sauce with a small portion of rice. Usually a place will add vegetables in the dish — not here. Overall, I was pretty disappointed and won’t return. I will say the restaurant itself looks really nice and they had nice people working up front.

Food is delicious. They serve Brown rice as well. Prepared fresh. They charge extra for everything. They deliver for a minimum order if 30 bucks(excessive) and they are always late more than 45 mins.

Service was great. The food was good but I think overpriced. Portions are not that huge if you are hungry. so you might order appetizer as well. Overall –good place to go !

When Thai @Waugh Chapel first opened I was skeptical b/c this was a brand new restaurant so I waited about a year or so before I finally tried it out. Boy am I mad at myself for waiting so long. All the dishes here are made with fresh and quality ingredients. I typically order the Basil Fried Rice with Shrimp, but from time to time I may order the«Special of The Day» or any of the classic menu items. A great starter or appetizer is the Thai Crispy Spring Rolls and the Tom Yum Soup(shrimp). Also be sure to try the Thai Summer Rolls, Thai Lettuce Wraps and they even have Thai Soup Bowls(similar to Phở but with a SpicyThai kick). The service staff is great! Very attentive and great at suggesting menu items to satisfy your Thai craving. Also, the décor is very modern and inviting with a decorative bar area and lots of cool lighting and chandeliers. Don’t forget to glance a their drink menu filled with lots of cool«cocktails» to try with very«interesting» names. To-date this is definitely my go-to Thai restaurant when I’m in the area. Enjoy!

I made it back for a friend’s birthday lunch and though the place wasn’t busy it seemed to take a long time for the food to arrive. On this visit I had my children with me so I ordered 2 entrees, the shrimp fried rice and the chicken pad see ew. The shrimp fried rice was good but completely overpriced at about $ 17. That’s ridiculous for an order of fried rice in my opinion, especially when I maybe got 6 shrimp. The chicken pad see ew was delicious and was more aptly priced at around $ 12 because chicken vs shrimp. I also ordered the calamari as an appetizer and the portion was very small but my kids really enjoyed it so I was happy it kept them quiet. They also enjoyed the fried rice and I the pad see ew… Those thick noodles were so good. They could’ve used a little spice so next time I’ll try the drunken noodles. I’ll be back when I’m at Waugh chapel.

I went for a girls night out with a few friends that I haven’t seen in a while so Thai was a good setting for the night. I of course arrived before everyone else and the wait staff was great about getting our table ready and seating me. They even asked if there were any special occasions to set the setting for us. The staff were great at first, very attentive, clearing unused items and the food came out quickly. The star got deducted because after our meal some of the ladies had to wait forever for water. As far as food, everything that was brought to the table was delicious! I had the spring rolls to start and the sweet and sour chicken as my entrée along side of a classic margarita. I have zero complaints about the food. I see others complain about the price of things sometimes but I thought it was a good portion and prices weren’t bad at all. The setting in the restaurant was great for a girls night or a date night. There were cute booths along the walls and larger tables in the center to accommodate any size group. We were a group of 5 and the table was just perfect.

I went golfing at Lake Presidential Golf Club and passed by this big and new plaza with Bone Fish Grill and Green Turtle. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from. We decided to give it a try with some prereservation and low expectation. It is probably one of the westernized Thai foods. The ambiance is modern and pleasant. Good enough for a date or special occasion but still keeps the casual feel. There outdoor dinning area as well. The service was well timed and the food came out in a timely manner. The menu contains some more authentic hard to find Thai foods like Kao Krug(spicy herb with deep fried rice tots), a fusion duck roll with roti wrap and hoisin sauce, Neu Nam Tok spicy steak with herbs. They served full strength Thai spiciness with no excuse. I recommend Thai Tea to help balance the spiciness. Yen Ta Fo is another street food Thai noodle with Chinese inspired dish. Sounds confusing but not a lot of restaurants dare to carry it in the menu. It is like regular seafood noodle but instead of clear broth, it has pink broth made of fermented tofu sauce. The taste is slightly sweet, sour, and salty soup. It is a whole new flavor profile than any noodle soup you have ever tried. The crème brûlée Thai Tea is almost great except the burnt sugar is not crisp enough. I will definitely return here with my golf buddies and family. There is a private room for group too.

3.5 stars… I’m not sure what this place wants to be yet… and it shows a bit in their décor and presentation. Not giving up 4 stars because the price of the food does not equate to its worth. The food was good enough — we had a spicy beef dish and red curry tofu with vegetables. It was good, but not the best and certainly not authentic, and truth be told, not that«spicy.» I wonder if someone tries the«spicy» curry here and then goes to an authentic Thai restaurant. well, they would be in for a taste surprise. The Tom Yum mushroom soup was kind of a mystery of competing flavors. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I ate here for my company’s holiday dinner. I’m not a huge fan of Thai food usually, I have this preconceived idea that all of it is either fried and greasy or slimy and soggy. I was pleasantly surprised here, because I didn’t run into anything I didn’t like or that didn’t look appetizing. My boss did have a bit of trouble making reservations, she called well in advance and the woman she spoke to couldn’t understand her, so the private room wasn’t set up when we arrived. This was fine, though, because there was room for us on the main floor. We ordered a whole bunch or appetizers that arrived quickly for how much there was. Of course there were lots of fried items, but nothing looked greasy and everything tasted fine. I ordered scallops as my main dish, and they were fantastic. In fact, everyone was happy with their own orders. The staff was quick on the draw even with such a big party, and we didn’t have to wait long for anything. The inside is elegantly decorated, nice lighting and decent seating. I recommend if you like Thai food.

The food and ambiance were both great. I loved the crispy spring rolls. Next time I may go spicy. It’s quite there during the midday. Good spot for lunch dates.

I was really impressed by this restaurant. Everything was great. We started off with the spicy sauced calamari. Which was crunchy and super delicious! Next was the crispy Duck with Basil leaves and vegetables. Omg it was supurb! This is the perfect restaurant for Date night. Or just hanging out with friends or family. Will i return. Oh most definitely! !
