I have a love-love-love relationship with Aldi. This week, their store special was .89 $ strawberries! A real steal. They have only a few items that aren’t worth the price, IE baking soda(large baking soda container at Publix is a way better price) and sometimes for some unbeknownst reason their canned beans can go up in price. But other than that, I always love Aldi. Reacent buys include: store brand coffee creamer, strawberries, diet bottled green tea, bagged spinach, bleu cheese, red onions, rasberry vinegrette, canned mushrooms, canned green beans, canned spinach, and frozen chicken breasts. Staples galore, my friends. And to the Aldi-diehards… we all know to watch the cashier line and strike at the optimum moment when the long line subsides… only downside.

I’m a big Fan of all Aldi stores! I used to go shopping at Aldi’s in Germany… though its not the same but close. Good bargains to be found weekly. I just wish they kept the more popular items in stock. I miss the German cakes they used to sell for the German week.

Can I say«I love Aldi»? Yup, I just did. Can I make you say it? Nope, but you should and I’ve turned many a people onto the idea. Aldis food is great and cheap. Most often I like Aldi brand over Kroger or name brand. Fruit and vege have a great selection and always have the staples. They just started carrying organic. Sometimes they sneak in a name brand, they have Pampers and Coke. Oddly enough, they have quite the cheese selection and it’s CHEAP! I always buy the orchids when they have them. Great ice cream too. I used to be in love with the staff at this location but they do have high turn over and there’s only one left that is sweet(hi Robin!). Don’t forget to bring a quarter for your shopping cart and your own bags, this helps keep prices down and the parking lot free of wandering carts!!!
