I bought 2 groupons for 3 treatments each (6 total) for the Astoria location. It is extremely difficult to get a hold of someone at either line. I called 516−739−1504 over a dozen times and the other 718 number just sent me to the gym instead of the laser area.
I’ve had 3 appointments for my upper lip so far. I’ve seen a little bit of difference but not enough to account for the money i spent.

This was my first laser experience. I bought it from Groupon for 3 treatments. At first, I was appalled; there were 2 other people scheduled for the same hour, and the person was over an hour late. One of the people waiting had been told the wrong time by the head office in Garden City (2.5 hours before my appointment time) so she had been waiting too patiently.
Lamara? (I am terrible at names) was fun to chat with. I did my underarms and it was a bit painful (this is a girl who gets brazilian waxes, mind you), but I thought it was funny that even though I said «stop,» she went for a couple seconds more to maximize my treatment. She was a really encouraging coach. Of course, the standard «you need 6 treatments» came along, but was also honest in that she said my skin type was the kind that if we tried a more aggressive approach, maybe 4 (if I could handle the pain…).
I did think it was odd that my next treatment was only a month away. I thought the standard was 6 weeks.
The place was really clean, and housed in one of the best gyms I’ve encountered in Astoria (Life Health & Fitness Gym! I think I might join.)
I was concerned that this was actually an IPL (Intense pulsed light/​xenon) instead of an actual laser, but was reassured that it was a 810n diode laser, brand is alma and the model is the soprano.
Of course, this is just my first treatment review. Let’s see how the other two go!
