Mac’s Radiator & Air Conditioning

This is one of the best places to get service done for your car. It has been a few times that I’ve experienced people of their caliber that work their craft with this amount of professionalism and quality.
I needed my radiator replaced. I had already bought it and was going to get the help of my brother. One look at how it was in and the amount of time it would take had him saying «you should take it to Mac’s because I trust them with my truck.»
So I called and scheduled an appointment. Received a quote over the phone. This is important to me because there are several places that would say bring it in and we’ll take a look at it.
With the knowledge of the quote and that my brother trusts them with his vehicle I took my car to them
When they looked in the box they noticed that I had left the receipt with the radiator and called. They found a way to save me some money. I purchase one of their radiators and take the one I purchased back to get to the store.
Then there came a miscommunication on my part about the pick up time. I was late and they were closed. Again they came up with a solution for me. I was able to leave with my car fully working with a brand new radiator. Car has been running great. And Mac’s Radiator, thank you for being awesome!

I have a 1989 truck that needed work on the A/​C unit. During the inspection they found that the A/​C unit needed to be replaced, and a leaking part that required replacement. I was impressed with the the initial job and the representitive I dealt with and will definitely return in the spring to replace the A/​C unit.

No, I was not excited when my car started to overheat in a restaurant drive-​through. Hoping it was just low on coolant, I drove directly to the place where I got my last oil change. Nope, the coolant was full so it was something else.
I took my car first to a place that was closer. They quoted me $ 580 to replace the fans, which weren’t turning properly. I called Mac’s, was in first thing the next morning, and they confirmed the fans weren’t doing their job. They ordered the parts I needed. I returned later in the week, and I was in the waiting room less than an hour. The bonus: They got it done for HALF what the other guys wanted. Some companies attempt to take advantage of female car owners that come in by themselves. Not Mac’s.
Speaking of the waiting room, the area is fairly nice with very comfortable chairs. There are a few magazines and a nice, large TV which the customers can control. Don’t worry — you won’t be there long.
This was my second trip to Mac’s (different problem last time, over 5 years ago), and I foresee using them whenever I have a radiator/​cooling issue. I wonder if they do home A/​C too?

Very impressed with the service at Mac’s. I had a radiator problem at 4.30 in the afternoon and called Mac’s. Eric was willing to take a look at my truck that day if I could get there by 5.30. I couldn’t, but they squeezed me in the next day and had me up and running again by noon. And they gave me a range of options (cheap but temporary, to more expensive but lasting). I appreciated their honesty and their responsiveness. Great business and in a very convenient location right on Chinden.
