IF Chris P considers a diet coke with lime alcohol, he is in the wrong business, his comment is unprofessional as is his business, and if he was so sure I was drunk, or quite frankly even had a drink, why would he not call the POLICE as I was driving with a teenager, anyone who patronizes a place that responds to a honest comment and review should really reconsider! What an absolute disgraceful response, I am just utterly baffled… you REALLY need to find a new line of work, and perhaps you should as this place is surely in it’s final stages of business! You should be ashamed of yourself, next time use spell check as well, it may come across more professional and sincere!

Tin Alley Grill is the place that my friends and I go to for our yearly secret Santa party. It is a decent place to go to and primarily a sports type bar with a large restaurant seating area. The food is good but not exceptional. Of note is the strip steak which is a favorite of many of my friends. That is what I recommend.

Decent Happy Hour. Friendly but clueless staff(hit or miss). Bland bar food… DRINKS Service at the tables was decent. Friendly staff but CLUELESS! I asked what they had for happy hour, and they say Ohh it depends on the drink. Makes sense, I ask beer specials, she says Ohh each beer is in a different tier of pricing with different deals(Thank you, I wasn’t looking for an education of how a bar operates). I ask well how about a Sam Adams or a Yuengling(don’t judge me!), she says Ohh I don’t know, I have to punch in each beer into the register to find out. I JUSTWANTTOKNOWWHATYOHAVEFORHAPPYHOUR?! not play 20 questions, I gave up and ordered. She acted nice when speaking to us and checked in with us for refills a few times, but it seemed like she just walked in for the first time along with us based on her knowledge of the place. FOOD Ordered wings, which were ok, hot is not really spicy. Mozzarella sticks are pretty good, full and crisp. Chicken tenders are juicy and crispy but not as flavorful as the coating made it seem, pretty bland. Some friends had recommended the weekly steak specials, which I remembered when I saw the deal being displayed on their TV. I asked the second waiter/bartender about them, she says oh they’re not available. I didn’t mind until I later saw a bunch of other people with steaks. Did they order the deal? Who knows, but how many people are going to order steak at the bar of an empty restaurant. It was a mixed after work crowd, young and old. A good amount of people but not crowded. The bar was covered, but 3 of 6 High-set tables were open. Back Restaurant portion was empty. The 2 stars go to the momentary kindness of the first waitress and the Happy Hour specials(4 – 5 each for well drinks and 2.50−4 each for Beer). Ends at 6 or 6:30 though. The other 3 stars got flushed(down the non-working Men’s urinal; fact) along with the staff’s lack of knowledge of their own workplace. Maybe they’re more accommodating to «regulars». I don’t plan on ever becoming one.

Came here on a night after Hurricane Sandy when it seemed like nobody in the area had power. This place was crazy busy to say the least. Overall, we had a short wait for both a table and our dinner. The food was ok, nothing to rave about at all. They have a decent beer selection and a large menu. I’d go back, but not any time soon.

This place is kinda dinky. I had to show up here for a meeting. I usually don’t eat out on the island, so I came in with a critical eye. It reminds me of an AppleBee’s or TGIF or something like that. The place was empty around lunch time so we were seated quickly. The food was very much average. But it’s decently priced. I wouldn’t trek miles to this place. But if you live out there. Then it’s alright.

This place is in the same category as TGI Friday’s, Chili’s, and Applebees, but I like it better because it’s family owned and operated. We had the fried pickles to start; my husband had the pecan-crusted chicken salad and I had the special sandwich of the day: California grilled chicken sandwich. We don’t always go for this type of restaurant, but when we get the itch for it, we’ll definitely come to Tin Alley.

I hate to give this place one star but it has to be done. I’ve always come here and enjoyed the food and the service and appreciated that I never had to wait to come in. It really feels like a good neighborhood restaurant where they would be nice to return clientele. Under normal circumstances, this place deserves a solid three stars, but I came here tonight and felt like I was being treated like some sort of scumbag because of the ridiculous restrictions and outright lies that the management created. When me and my girlfriend were at the Roosevelt field mall, we were checking out the Unilocal app on my smartphone and noticed that the Tin Alley Grill had a pretty nice check-in deal for 25 cent wings. «Cool, that’s a pretty decent price» I said. However, I did not know that was a bait and switch and that I was in for a world of disappointment. When we arrived, we had told our waiter that we wanted the 25 cent wings that are advertised as the check-in deal and he had told us that the wings are now 35 cents each and this was changed a few months ago. That was fine with me and I told the waiter it was no problem. Well I ordered 20 wings and the buffalo chicken nachos and anticipated that we would take home any excess wings that we could not finish. Once we were stuffed and couldn’t eat anymore with about 12 wings left on our plate we asked the waiter if we could get the rest wrapped up. At first he told us it might be a problem because they don’t allow you to take home the wings that you ordered and paid for… WHAT? What kind of ridiculous restriction is this? I could understand if someone was taking advantage of them but we clearly just could not finish our plate and wanted to bring the rest home. What would they do with the rest otherwise? Throw them in the garbage or give them to another unsuspecting customer? That’s complete bullshit and very wasteful if they do that. The manager came over after and said that we could take the wings home this time and that normally they don’t do this. Oh really? It would’ve been nice if someone told us this as we ordered the 20 wings because if that was the case then I just would’ve ordered less. Whatever. Then he tells me that there is no such offer for 25 cent wings on Unilocal and that anyone one the internet can place a check-in deal for his restaurant. Well that’s just a downright lie and completely outrageous. That’s untrue as only a verified owner of an establishment can place check-in deals. I’ve even seen that Chris P. from the Tin Alley Grill has posted several owner comments on this very Unilocal page not more than 3 weeks ago. He then proceeds to tell me that there are many scam websites out there offering illegitimate coupons and people try to redeem them. Oh, I’m sorry. I fell for this whole scam website called Darn! They should’ve just been honest with me and told me that they had forgot to update the price on the Unilocal check-in deal. That kind of honesty would’ve been much appreciated and I can understand how that could happen but instead they treat me like a nincompoop and lie to me. I guess he didn’t know that I was a Unilocal elite and he thought I was just some unsuspecting idiot that he could lie to and manipulate. Big mistake. Unacceptable. Don’t come here. You’re treated like shit and constantly harassed by management if you try to partake in the deals that they themselves promote and offer. Do not waste your time by being nickeled and dimed at every turn. Fuck this place and fuck the management. Update: By the way, Chris P of Tin Alley Grill, if you would like some free business advice I can let you know that you should not berate patrons on the Unilocal page that you claim adds its own deals and check-in offers which you stated you had no control over. After all, that takes all believability away from your lie that you tell your customers that you don’t control your own Unilocal business page so you don’t have to honor the deals that are posted there. It also makes you look immature and unprofessional when you write childish comments in reply to reviews. The best thing you could do in an owner comment is to apologize, vow to update your page with current information, and promise a better experience next time someone would go. If you comment with a professional tone and words, it won’t scare other potential customers away if the low rating of your restaurant hasn’t done so already. Chris P, when you’re in the service industry you should provide good service for your customers. It doesn’t matter what kind of food you’re serving, if you treat your customers like garbage then you will get a reputation and people will start telling their friends and family about how bad their experience was. Word of mouth is a powerful phenomenon, my friend. Unilocal is even more powerful than word of mouth and you should use it intelligently to help provide good service to your patrons and potential patrons instead of using it to get into arguments and publicly embarrass yourself.

I had a very strange and unpleasant experience in Tin Alley Grill today. My bf and I were in Roosevelt Field Mall and I happened to see a Unilocal check-in deal for Tin Alley Grill that claimed«$ 0.25 for wings Every Tuesday from 5 to close.» We’ve often dined in Tin Alley’s in the past and we liked their solid bar food, so we decided to grab dinner there and take advantage of this promotion. Upon placing our orders of buffalo chicken nachos and 20 buffalo wings, we showed the waiter the check-in offer on my bf’s smartphone. The waiter said that they do not offer 25 cent wings any more and that the price for the wings is currently 35 cents. We didn’t see a problem with that and ordered the wings anyway. Close to the end of our meal, I asked one of the waitstaff if he can get me a box so I can bring the wings home. He said that they didn’t allow people to bring home wings, that you have to eat all the wings you ordered. Our waiter did not tell us this when we ordered and there was no note of this in the menu. If we knew this stupid rule, we wouldn’t have ordered so many wings. It felt like false advertisement. They treated us like we should’ve naturally known that we can’t take home the wings that we ordered and paid for. Duh! I wouldn’t have thought too much about it but the owner came to our table and told us that he’ll let us take home the wings this one time. Then he went off on a tangent of how Unilocal is an illegitimate website and anyone can just go on Unilocal and put on a deal under their name. Ummmmm NO. I’m sure the online business that has headquarters all over the world is a big scam. I believe that only verified business owners can create a business account and post deals and check in offers. I felt like I was treated like a little child who tried to steal cookies from a cookie jar. I felt very condescended too and I didn’t appreciate how we weren’t told that you couldn’t take home any of the wings before we ordered 20 of them. I felt uncomfortable, like I did something wrong but they were letting me off with a get out of jail free card. In the end we paid $ 0.35 each for our wings, took the leftovers home, and pledged to never come back. P.S Management should work more on improving customer service skills than to leave mean comments on customer’s honest reviews and opinions. Next time, do not assume that everybody knows your policy. Do not attack your customers. We paid $ 0.35 for the wings. Not $ 0.25 wings. I use to come here often but after that experience and the very rude comment from the owner I will never come here again or recommend this place to anyone.

i have to agree with corey c, how this place is still in business is beyond me. the bartenders are nasty and act like they are doing you a favor, i work nearby and we all used to go there frequently after work to relax and they were always crabby. the food is crap and the crowd is usually a bunch of kids with attitudes, no thanks, PLUS the bathrooms bring disgusting to a whole new level, rather eat at houlihans and not get treated like garbage

I came in here a few months ago. I was not impressed. The appetizers were just blah, frozen jalapeño poppers, boneless wings that were soggy, and nothing that was anything to brag about, and they had this egg roll thing that just didn’t have any bite to it either. I also came in here for wings, apps and drinks on another occasion and was not impressed. I would not return to Tin Alley Grill. Way to many other places close enough to visit.

«I used to come here back in the day with my parents. I always remember them having great wings… ha! now I don’t even eat meat! I haven’t been here in a hot minute, but I plan to hit up my homeslice Alyssa D Block Money swagg like sometime this month and grab a bite to eat at the ol’ TA Grill!» I would just LOVE to know what MORON flagged this review as «inappropriate», and had it removed… doesnt make any sense. What a loser, and obviously a hater!!! Thanks but its back. I read the Unilocal guidelines and this review is JUST fine! Any problems should be dealt with me personally so I can understand the problem at stake– not through an email; thats called IMMATURE!!!

This is a «you can’t go wrong» place. I tend to hit this place because people I work with have gone here for years when we come to the local office for work. It’s not bad at all just not the top of my list personally. Food, drinks, atmosphere is nice. Like a local Applebee’s would be my best discription.

I thought I stumbled onto a new spot. Turns out this place has been here for 20 years. Looks brand-new. 20 high def flat screens, great beer selection and most important– awesome wings. I’m going back 100%. And it’s not a chain restaurant… they buy back drinks. Very cool newly renovated great beer selection great food what else can you ask for

I have gone here a few times for lunch and happy hour. This is what a T.G.I.F or a Applebee’s would be like if it they were not major corporate chains. The food is good American bar style food. Nothing great but they are decent potions. I like the steak sandwich and the pulled pork sliders. Their wings are also better then most places. What I really like about this place is since it’s not a big corporate chain I have received buybacks at the bar and the drinks are strong. The staff is awesome. A few times I had nasty servers but notice that the nasty ones never stay around long so I guess the management is on top of things. A few months back an owner /manager came over to the table and asked how everything was. I made a comment how the fries were really tasty today and 5 minutes later a whole new order of fries came to to the table on the house. Nothing like free food and drinks to make a customer happy and come back.

Again, 2.5 stars. I really wish Unilocal allowed for the .5 star. I’ve had the caesar salad wrap sans chicken and it’s tasty but definitely tell them to go easy on the dressing as they live to just pour gallons of it on it. If you ordered steamed vegetables be prepared for radically different experiences each time you order them. There’s simply no consistency so you have to be very specific with your server. «Do not put a gallon of butter on the broccoli» and so on. My date the meat-eater is not a fan of their steaks — on the bland and dry side. He tells me that the burgers are adequate. Service has always ranged from either cordial to friendly. It’s a ‘good enough’ place to go for a beer or a glass of wine.
